A lot of people here think that it's bad tone to RP a military of more than 1% of the population, unless you want your soldiers to be awfully bad.

Or perhaps you want to RP a population bigger than your stats...

OOC: It's typically a good idea to avoid mixing NATO and Warsaw Pact gear since they require completely different supply lines.

I have allies that can give me the Warsaw Pact stuff while I make the NATO stuff. We use the weapons we capture to good, if not efficient use.

Even so, your logistical systems would be a nightmare. By using both, you double the size of the stockpiles of spare parts you need, as most designs by either side share considerable common components with related systems, not to mention ammunition overlap.

On a related note, it's probably a good idea to stick with a single model for any given purpose. IE, one assault rifle, one PDW, one MBT, one IFV, one APC, etc. More simplification to your supply lines (especially as you seem to be using a Chevy, a Caddy, and a Toyota for the same purpose, and none of them use interchangeable parts).

exactly why i let the national guard handle the warsaw pact stuff while the regular forces handle the NATO stuff.
