For this RP, it seems we're going to need soldiers.

IC:

The Slakoth authorities were having trouble and a lot of it by the looks of things thanks to one group known as The Children of Progress who had been listed a terrorist organisation by the Slakoth authorities. The Children of Progress were producing methamphetamine's which they believed helped to further education and some kind of research. What the Children didn't seem to believe was in peace, attacking Slakoth forces. It seems the Children were very powerful to fight like this. Infiltration would not work on them, instead the GNU had to fight fire with fire.

Heading the operation, called Operation Bedtime, was General Simon Jones who had vast experience within the Londim Military, getting the Londim Cross of Honour for his bravery in war. He had the appearance of a warrior but he was also very intelligent in planning tactics. He was to lead a group of 1000 Londim soldiers and was to meet the leaders and generals who would be leading their own forces against the Children. This operation was to be the first official GNU military operation and things had to go to plan. General Jones sent a message to these leaders:

Re: Operation Bedtime
From: General Simon Jones, Londim GNU Branch

Greetings fellow colleagues. I am General Simon Jones of the GNU Branch in Londim and I will be leading the Londimium forces in Slakoth. Before operations begin I feel that the Generals and Officers leading groups in Slakoth to combat The Children of Progress must meet to discuss tactics and intelligence that may have been gathered on this group. We cannot go charging in, risking the whole well being of the nation. We must find where the Children operate from and shut these areas down for good.

Grateful to the GNU, Slakoth has appointed Captain Joseph Randal to be General Simon Jone's adviser.
He was extremely qualified with the job being a member of the group before it became extremist, and has led the Slakothian army and Drug Control units against the Children of Progress, with some success.

Here is the dossier he made on the Children of progress.

The leader of the "Children", is one Tobias Procter, eminent scientist, and one of the founding fathers of the Modern Nation of Slakoth.
In the Spirit of Democracy he created the Political Party The Children of Progress, they had many followers in the goverment, and every other infrastructure of society.
Unfortunately 7 Months ago, Drug Control Units found Tobias Procter, and the Children had been producing Methamphetamines on a massive scale, claiming that the drugs helped them read research better, and open their minds.
The goverment in two swoops stripped The Children of Progress of their political status, and classed them extremist, and under Slakothian Law they were outlawed.

The Children of Progress, then disappeered for 3 months, but then a massive surge of Methamphetamines hit City of Solath, many people appeared outside educational institutions selling the "study drug". Children as young as 8 were being given the drug.

The Slakothian Drug Control Units(SDCU), arrested some of the Dealers and traced some of the source to a ware house, whilst raiding the warehouse, the place was rigged with explosives, and blew up, killing 19 SCDU Members, and 14 Slakothian youths in their National Service year. The Explosion was so fierce the number of Children of Progress involved was unknown, and 30 citizens were Injured.

From then on many patrols in the Slakoth Nation forest have been attacked with 24 soldiers being killed. And the amount of Methamphetamines has been ever increasing.

General Jones looked over the dossier he had received about the Children. Naturally he had questions:

"So a Founding Father is the cause of this? Since the group being outlawed, how mush has it's activity grown? Also I assume that those selling the study drug have been detained? Is it possible to question the highest ranked, if any, dealers in front of the GNU Leaders?"

*the captain saluted*

"Sir! The group grew massively since it was just a political party to begin with, 2 research facilities joined Tobias, 60 scientist with 44 Military Guards.
But this is just the tip of iceberg vagrants, orphans all joined him, he is building an army, with the help of the experienced personnel they recruited, the drugs help fund it."

"As for dealers we only have one suspect, the rest were killed in the warehouse explosion, since we decided to follow the dealers instead of intercepting before hand."

*The Captain barks some Slakothian in to his Radio*

"We served in the 24th Regiment in the army, his name is James Lantiff, some of the SCDU found him a block away from the explosion. I shall read the Medical and forensics Report, Severe 3rd degree burns, 3nd Degree burns on the left side of his face, 3rd degree burns on the left side of his body, also C4 and meth residue was found on his hands, and finally the tattoo CoP was found on his leg.

He was in a coma for 14 days, and is unable to speak due to his voice box, being severely damaged. But he can still write, and he can listen.
*The captain whilstled, two SCDU members dragged the Handcuffed James Latiff, and sitting him at a desk with a pen and some paper, they then hand cuffed him, saluted and left the room.*
*The Captain pointed at James*
"Telling the truth will make it easy for you, especially in your upcoming court case, ok General I think he is ready."

"Well that's just it. I don't want to start questioning this person until the other Generals arrive. That way we can work together. Instead I'll start with the basics until more officers arrive."

General Jones turned to the man in front of him and stared at him in pity. This was a man who had most likely joined the group because he had been brainwashed into thinking he was making a difference. Now he had nothing...it reminded the General of someone he once knew.

"Can someone please get this man some water or something, it may be a long meeting. So James you were a member of The Children of Progress but before we go into any details about that I just want you to write down your full name, date of birth, place of birth an where you were educated. This is just to make sure you are in a comfortable position to write down answers."

"Alright. So you would be able to lead a guerrilla war against the legitimate forces? Tell me. Why did you join the Children. From what I can gather you could have had an astonishing career within the military or in intelligence. Why join an outlawed group when you had all this ahead of you?"

Assembly Area 13, Imperial Province of Skgorria

On the surface, Assembly Area 13 just seemed to be yet another military base - huge chainlink fences topped with razor wire, fire pits lined with sandbags, watchtowers with powerful searchlights and automatic weapons mounted on them and uniformed soldiers patrolling the outside. Yet one thing seperated this base from all others: flying from a huge flagpole in the middle was a black flag with a white Roman numeral 'IV' and the dual lightning bolts of the SS. This was the main base of the 4th SS 'Constantine' division.

A knock sounded on the General's door.
"Enter," he called, not bothering to look up from the report he was reading. The 2nd Battalion, 3rd Brigade was up to their usual tricks and if he didn't find something for them to do soon he'd have to organise an exercise or something.
"Sir," saluted his aide, "CinC sent you this." He dropped the dossier on the General's table marked 'OPERATION BEDTIME'. "Looks like our latest political commitment needs some military muscle."
The General quickly looked up. "Have you read it then, Fenstermacher?"
"Aye sir," grinned the lanky aide. "Time for the SS to go and earn itself some positive press. I've ordered all of the 2nd3rd to stand to."
At this the General burst out into laughter. "Excellent! I'll get to work on writing a response."

Jones halted the meeting with the man in front of him as he read over the message he received from the Empire of the Wolf. He sent a reply:

We are ready to receive your battalion in the North of Lynion. Here our forces can work out the best form of attack. It will not be an easy battle. This mafia seem to have enough arms to arm a small army. Be prepared.

OOC: If you don't mind, we'll skip the tedious transportation and arrival posts. Tends to take too long.

Military facility, North Lynion

With the 2nd3rd fully disembarked and their equipment transfered from the transports to the trucks needed to carry them, all that they were lacking were orders.

Two Imperial officers found their way to where the meeting of the GNU commanders was being held. Both were dressed in the black of the SS day-to-day fatigues, their uniforms made to stand out with a sharp red trim and the Sieg rune on the left collar patch. In order to appear diplomatic they had left their sidearms with the men, but both still carried their SS daggers on their left hip. Storm-General Reichenau wore a peaked cap and his face and eyes looked weathered from many battlefields, but he seemed the stronger for it. The other, Storm-Captain Fenstermacher, was by contrast young and fresh, his eyes burning with the zeal and passion seldom found in anyone else but the fanatic.

"General Jones please," enquired Reichenau pleasantly. "I believe we are expected."

"Storm-General Reichenau of the Empire of the Wolf," Reichenau offered by way of introduction, offering the man his hand. "This is my adjutant and 2iC, Storm-Captain Fenstermacher." The younger man smiled politely and also stuck out his hand. Some other soldiers arrived and tried to talk to General Jones whilst ignoring the Skgorrians, so they decided to ignore them.

"General," began Reichenau, "before we begin I need to know the limits on interrogation in this nation. In the Empire we have none." At this Fenstermacher grinned and patted his dagger for emphasis.

General Jones shook the hands of all the new arrivals before addressing the question.

"I believe that torture is not allowed so that dagger will probably not come into use until combat. I am only going by my impressions so I feel the Slakothians can answer your question much better. Come let us talk to the prisoner. However this prisoner has lost his ability to speak so we rely on him writing down his answers. We must show patience."

"Ahhh..." started one of the Hell Knights. "You see Jones, we haven't signed anything against torture so it doesn't apply to us,"

"Don't mind him, you mind if we ask him questions?" asked Nightmare.

"Ask away but I will also be watching. Us Londimians are against torture of our enemies. We view all warriors with respect, they fight for what they believe in and we the same. If I feel anything is going to far, I will step in."

Jones could see the different approaches of these military institutions would come into conflict. It would be easier to draw the lines early.

A UH-60 Blackhawk hovered just off the ground long enough for two men to jump out, before lifting off again and heading to the East. Both men, clad in Salzland Defense Force camouflage and combat armor, strode purposefully toward the Command Post that had been established. A man in the uniform of the Londim general officers corps stood waiting for them. Both SDF soldiers saluted.

General Jones looked at the new arrivals, the Salzland representatives and shook hands before briefing them.

"Currently we have one of the Children's operatives in captivity and he is currently being questioned. So far we have very little details about their whereabouts. The Children themselves have been suspiciously quiet since our arrival which worries me. Battles aren't going to be straight forward affairs in some field, instead they'll attack guerrilla style making it hard for us to estimate their numbers. It will not be easy."
