Minerva stepped outside her front door and inhaled the morning air. It was so early in the morning that it was still foggy outside, and she could barely make out the road. They were supposed to arrive soon. Her cell phone rang, and she answered "Hello?"
"Have they reached you yet?" Said a familiar voice. It was none other than her brother in law, Chief Arnook, Head of state of Northern Sea. Minerva replied,
"No, but it's foggy this morning, the general could be flying slow. He has to be careful" Minerva was the chief's sister in law, and he had asked her if General Macked and his daughter, Elizabeth, could stay with her. There had been political turmoil in their home nation, Calizorinstan, and they had come to him in need. Now Minerva was waiting and looking for their plane. They were going to land in her front yard. Not that it was a problem. She lived in a modern house on a massive piece of property on the western island of Northern Sea. She scanned the sky for their plane once more, and asked her brother in law,
"Why are they coming so early again?"
He responded, "This is all top secret. If their nation knew they were here, they could be in danger and Northern Sea could be in danger of war with Calizorinstan. The less people who know, the better."
Minerva sighed "I'll call you when they arrive." She hung up the phone and sat on a bench outside her house, and waited.

OOC: Sorry for being late, here it is!

General Macked gently dove the F-4C Phantom II out of the skies, and he said "Liz, we should be arriving at Minerva's place soon." Liz's response crackled from the back seat "Okay, but are you sure we can land this thing on the road?" John laughed and he said "I did it plenty of times in Khilistania, when I was forced to, 'cause I was low on fuel. I've done it.." He retracted the throttle and lowered the gear and the flaps, and he saw his target road!
He raised the jet, and he set it down onto the road, the J-79's were roaring as the jet touched down. He then deployed the drag chute and they came to a stop. John opened the canopy and waved to Minerva and Chief Arnook, and Elizabeth got out of the jet, jumping down onto the wing and down onto the ground.

OOC: No problem, and chief Arnook isn't here yet.
OC: Minerva saw her guests land and was relieved. She walked up to them and said "I hope your flight was comfortable. The plane will be moved later to a hanger in the nearby town. Please, come inside" she said as she started walking up to her front door.

John wiped his brow and he said "I barely escaped the Dictator's Air Force coming here, I had to shoot down a F-15C Eagle in this thing (gesturing to the F-4), and then make a supersonic run for it, low level. We only had time to pack two bags. I am praying that John Arnold made it out safely." Elizabeth then carried the two bags inside the house and John said "This is a nice place indeed to hide. Thank you for your kindness.."

"thank you, I love this house. But it does get lonely, being in such a big house all by myself." She said as she lead them up the stairs and down a hallway. At the end of the hallway there were two doors across from each other, and opened up the door to the left. Inside the room was a king sized bed, a desk with a computer, a dresser, and a balcony outside the window.
"This is one of the rooms, the other is just like it. You each can have one. You don't need to worry about the dictator here. He wouldn't dare enter Northern Sea airspace or waters without talking to the chief. The chief is staying up north at the capital for a few days in case he calls, then he and his children are coming down here for a week. It will be fun." She said.
"Let me know what type of foods you both like. I love to cook, but rarely have someone to cook for. Tomorrow I have an entire day of Northern Sea traditional foods planned, but nothing for today. Let me know what you two want." She smiled, "Make yourself at home"

The General nodded and he said "Thanks. I only am really worried about my friend, John Arnold. He resigned as President, really he was a benevolent dictator, but he was the best as far as I could tell, because he was getting tired. Well, anyway, we'd love some American-cuisine tonight, and we'll gladly eat local tomorrow night. Also I managed to get out one of my most prized possessions, my original 1957 Fender Stratocaster, which would go for million today, and my Fender amp and Line 6 pedalboard. I was once in a heavy metal band once, when I was young, before I became a fighter pilot. I'm just lucky my road landing skills in the old F-4 are still up to date.."

"Great, I'll get started. There's a lot you can do. I have a TV, a library, a pool out back, and maybe we can all go to the local town later and explore." she said, as she walked into the kitchen.

OOC: I've been busy lately, and have re-discovered this thread."

John nodded and he said smiling "I think Elizabeth and I will take a look at the library, could you tell us where it is please?"
