The Ostlands

The crew of the good ship Erasmus had been travelling across the oceans for two whole years now. Two years in search of allies. Two years in search of a port. Two years of shelter. More than half were dead, including the passengers; a party of monks, bishops, diplomats and beureucrats. A few men at arms, a power knight and seven sailors, including the pilot-captain were left, all nearly dead with hunger. Now their search was over. Land was in sight, and a large coastal town. (ooc: whoever wants to greet me, this is YOUR turf) The ship sailed further towards the shore, as far as it could without beaching, and the captain ordered the white flag of surrender raised. After this was done the men sat and waited, wondering what wonders they would discover in this strange, heathen land.

Off the Coast of the Beatus

The ship was detected, and the Battleship Edwardo Listless was dispatched to investigate, as it was the nearest ship. It saw the white flag, and sent out a radio message, "Attention unidentified ship, this is the Beatusian Navy, you have entered Beatusian waters. Identify yourself, and indicate if you require any assistance."

The men on board heard this disembodied voice and were frightened. The captain stood at last and spoke in his deep, rumbling voice: "Lads! 'Tis a cold day in hell afore we refuse to identify ourselves. Are we not men of the Ostlands?"
The reply was as strong as the crew could muster, "Aye, Captain!"
"Well then, as we can't work Brother Mortimer's voice box," he began, gesturing to the ancient radio set, "We shall have to communicate the old fasioned way. Raise the message flags!"
The ship raised it's multi - coloured naval flags in the universal message code to a ship they coudn't even see: "We do mean no harme."

Very soon the large battleship came into view. They saw the flags, and made a second radio message, "We understand, prepare to be boarded." As the battleship drew near, launches were sent off towards the unidentified ship. They carried, crew and supplies to detain, and aide the ships crew, and determine if the ship was in condition to be brought into port.

The captain heard the reply and sighed with relief. His mission was complete, and the 500 tonnes of raw uranium below decks was safe. He looked around at his skeleton crew, and noticed that even the power knight seemed to be abnormally still. A cold feeling danced down his spine and he passed out, the roaring sound of the launches echoing in his skull.
