Mission Statement:

The aim of the Global Narcotics Unit (GNU) is to clampdown on the drug trafficking, producers and suppliers who so plague the entire global community. The way this can be done is to create specialist Anti Drug Enforcer teams comprised of the best Narcotics Officers from those nations that join the GNU. These teams will then target the criminal underworld which supplies these illegal substances to the general population.

Aim:
To reduce the illegal drugs trade by 70% globally by 2020.
To bring drug traffickers to justice within the state they operate from.

Exemptions:

Any member nations who have legalised certain substances will not be targetted by the GNU unless that member state requests it, regarding that substance.

Any member nations who are in a review of a drug/s considering whether to il\ legalise will not be targetted by the GNU unless that member state requests it, regarding that particular substance.

Additional Information:

Each GNU team will be determined based on the scale of the problem to allow intensive and extensive investigations. Since teams are varied, more investigations can be carried out simultaneously.

Any member state is free to leave at any time.

Nations themselves will not be targets of hostile actions. Instead with their permission and cooperation the GNU will work to take down those organisations who are built upon producing and supplying illegal substances.

The citizens of these nations who would/do export drugs to these nations cannot be charged with anything as the are acting legally within their shores. Instead those who receive the illegal substances in my nation will be charged for importing illegal substances.

Zanski lists the GNU as a terrorist organisation and if any GNU-affiliated vessels come into sight of any Zansk army/navy vessels, we will destroy them.

As of july 08 Zanski has legalised Cannabis and produces 30,000 tons every year, and has no problem in discreetly importing it to countries where it is illegal.
As a token of detestment, zanski has created national Haxiz (pronounced Hashitz-Hashish) day today.

Londim is disappointed to hear that Zanski has listed the GNU as a terrorist organization. The GNU will not operate in Zanski so as to avoid any unnecessary conflict.

after some thought, Zanski will donate 1500 troops to fight non-cannaboid drugs (Cocaine, Heroin, Shrooms, MDMA etc) but does not want GNU operations in the Zansk Communities.

Londim welcomes the Zanski forces into the GNU. As a note to reassure Zanski, cannabis is currently being reviewed in Londim on whether to legalize it.

Union Island is 200nkm's from the Kingdom of Lynion and has only the presence of 300 Union Guardians which isn't enough to combat the mafia which we think have numbers in the thousands and to make matters worse, the current Union government has turned corrupted. The current government is lead by local politican George Wilson who didn't have the approval of the Union Guardians to govern the island.

Much of the island is loyal to the crown, but the main population is further north while the southern capital city is corrupted and drug trafficing is on the increase. In recent times, our communication with Lynion has being limited and I fear they're pinning us down. We suggest you land in the north where we can be found.

Whilst the Nation of Slakoth Permits the consumption of Cannabis in the house, we do manufacture cannabis but forbid it being transported it out of the country.

We wish to join the GNU, in their struggle to purge Illegal Narcotics from countries by strangling the Illicit Market and Cutting supplies to make these substances.

In Return The Commonwealth of Slakoth asks for help with the increasing production of Methamphetamines by the Terrorist Group The Children of Progess, which they insist helps with education and research. Slakothian military has had a few minor skirmishes with this group, and the problem doesn't seem to be stopping.

The emperor walked into the council chambers and waited for his ministers to be seated. It took about an hour before everyone had gotten through the security checkpoint and settled down. The emperor cleared his throat and spoke into the microphone. He wanted to sound firm, the ministers had started to think they were in charge and in most cases they were, but what he was about to do was suppose to cleanse the council of dissenters.

"My ministers I have called this meeting today to tell you that we are officially joining the Global Narcotics Unit. It has come to my attention that the illegal drug trade has been rampant in Ralkovia. What disturbed me though was that every arrest of a suspect in the trade would end with a release. There was not even a slap on the wrist. Our there any objections?"

The emperor knew that many of his ministers were payed off by these illegal cartels. Those that objected would be guilty. The emperor had outsmarted the ministers or so he thought.

The council of ministers were quiet. They didn't disagree or agree. So the emperor followed through.

I believe that there is corruption in my own council that has led to a 220% increase in drug trafficking. No arrests for drug trafficking have ever been made in Ralkovia since my council took over most of my duties 3 years ago. I have loyal troops and intelligence officers who can supply you with intel on where these drug "farms, factories, and headquarters our." It has come to my attention that these Ralkovian farms supply a large amount of illegal drugs to these cartels. This must be stopped. If you decide to help 4000 imperial troops will be at your disposal along with any number of Ralkovian equipment. You may ask why are nation can't take care of this problem itself. That is because I would have to recognize it as a problem and make an official announcement saying this. I would hate to cause distrust in the people. Will you help?

The GNU welcomes Raklovia into its ranks and will begin immediately on this case. The case is quite complex in the sense you feel your own council are running the drugs trade or helping it. Making this public could have an adverse effect. Instead the GNU proposes undercover action in gathering evidence both within the cartels and your council if you will allow it.

Personally i'd recomen trying them under Belschaft law as it is increadibly harsh - drug smugling is punishable with a life sentence in one of my very harsh prisons, wich are basicly masiive concentration camps/industrial complexes, where prisoners are used as slave labour.

Those who are arrested will have trials in the nations they committed the crime. It makes the most sense and allows for fairer trials.

OOC- but not so harsh sentences. We should set up a GNU court with special sentences and judges and jurys from GNU nations.

Communiqué to: Whoever it may concern within the Global Narcotics Unit.

The Emirate of Sultenia has for some time now kept up with the development of this international anti-narcotics unit known to the public as the Global Narcotics Unit.

Public opinion polls in our country have kept the goverment informed that narcotics and addictives are not in popular demand with our citizens nor does drug-dealing have a positive status within our society.

But these facts will unfortuneately not change some other facts that are begininng to show "cause for concern".

Recent investigation are showing that The Emirate of Sultenia, although not favourable to sell narcotics within, can be used as a safe haven for smuggling of illegal substances or harbouring so-called "dealers".
An armed seperatist group in the northwest have increased their activities. Disorganized, untrained and now branded as "national-traitors" we have just recently found out that most of their funding is made from harbouring illegal substances for major suppliers.
A raid on one of the militant camps uncovered a significant amount of the wellknown substance "Cocaine", known amongst our people as "brain-salt". All brain-salt found at the camp has been destroyed.

As our military continues to deal with this issue, effectively cutting off the traitors main supply line the issue has not gone unnoted to our nations citizens. The issue has caused an uproar amongst our citizens, demanding that "this pig-poison will not even reach our motherland", as up to date 100% of all illegal substances found in the seperatist-camps have come from foreign sources.

Our nation has a tradition of "direct-democracy", and for now our people wants to officially declare war on international narcotics trade leaving no room for debate at present.

A seperate task-force is currently under organization under supervison of the Armed Forces of Sultenia. Trained to respond for "deployment without time-margin", a more detailed information sheet can be delivered upon request.

The Emirate of Sultenia hopes for further relations and cooperation with the Global Narcotics Unit. Sultenia wishes to aid your just cause.

ooc: I don't think we should have special courts that would be affecting another nation. Unless the nation is okay with having the suspect tried outside the country. Or unless the laws of the nation allow the suspect to get off free of any charges.

We at the Empire has suffered overwhelming problems over drug abuse. students as young as 13 year's old has been tested positive of taking various drugs- Marijuana, Cocaine, Shabu, etc-, Also, large scale drug dealing syndicates all over Philippiniada are operating. Some of this notorious syndicates are the "White Fang Syndicate" and the "Waray Gang". Over the past year. the Imperial State Police has begun a extensive anti-drug campaign. This has led to the raiding of the biggest drug den in the nation. an assortment of drugs not exceeding 30,000 grams has been confiscated. We here at the Empire is calling this a crushing blow to drugs in Philippiniada.

But we are admittedly experiencing difficulty with the war against illegal drugs and narcotics. Since the campaign against drugs started. over 300 ISPD men and women has lost their lives and left their families just to save and rid the world of narcotics. so. The Empire is officially filing it's application in joining the GNU. and together with the other nations. finally rid the world of Narcotics and illegal drugs
