AP - Following the bill recently passed which bans same-sex couples in Gnufasur from adopting children, a new bill dubbed "The Cultural Normalization Act" is currently awaiting approval from the President. This new bill, if passed, will enact a law which would seek to prevent Human Sub-culture from infiltrating into the Gnufasurian mainland, by removing children from households deemed to be "Extreme Human Sub-Cultured."
Those primarily effected would be Vegans, Christians, Same-Sex Couples, and members of PETA, as well as allowing for more "Extreme Sub-Cultures" to be added later. The children removed from these household would be placed into either State operated Foster homes or 'The School' which is a private boarding school operated and owned by EHAV, a state sponsored Private Military Company.
Currently there are two groups opposing the bill. One group, "Parents and Families Against the Act," which is comprised almost entirely of those who would be affected, says that this bill is an invasion of their privacy and their right to raise their children without the Government intruding.
The state sponsored group "Gnufasur, WOW!! Committee" also opposes the bill, but for entirely different reasons. Spokesperson for the Gnufasur, WOW!! Committee, Akimi Clover, had this to say [to Associated Press], "This Act, while it aims to remove Human Sub-Cultures, as it stands would only serve to push international opinion of Gnufasur down, which is the exact opposite of the goals of the Gnufasur, WOW!! Committee. We feel that the bill would need to be completely revamped so that while it would accomplish it's same goal, would do so without making Gnufasur out to be a social and international pariah."
