OOC: I was originally going to make this a hypothetical thread where it didn't effect our histories but then on second though I decided to make it a movie being released in my nation. So ICly the following events(except the people going to watch the movie or buy it, rate it ect,) are ICly fictional. Also so since my nation is ICly a federation of planets colonized by the South Lizasaurians I decided to have this event occur on a planet every nation had a plot of land on. Sort of like how Europe split up land into spheres of influence only there were no natives so no one was hurt or invaded.

With rising fears about an impending apocalypse or some dystopic disaster occurring (again) a group of writers came together and discussed their next project.
Writer: Greetings fellow writers and artists, today we gather here to discuss a film idea that may revive the South Lizasaurian media's fame and glory. *pulls off a sheet from a canvas with a picture of an earthlike planet with nuclear blasts all over as death held it like a ball* VWALLA!
Another writer who was overweight with large circular glasses commented.
Female writer: Ummm, thats only a picture of a planet being destroyed by death.
Fat writer: Nice picture thad! You draw that yourself?!
The other writers were slightly confused as to what this meant for the first writer did not clarify enough. The writers began to chatter until the first writer gestured them to be silent in order that he may speak.
Writer: My fellow writers, we live in a day in age where many people expect the sky to fall any minute, where doomsday is feared greatly, and given the bug wars and other paranormal historical disasters our nation hath suffered you can't really blame them. They are so afraid of death they've become obsessed with it. I propose we make a movie about a group of friends who survive an apocalyptic event.
Fat writer: Just one problem...which one?
Immediately everyone at the meeting began suggesting different paranormal occurrences. Finally over all the chattering one writer spoke.
Fat writer: Hey, instead of arguing why not make a movie of each, that way all the zombie people will see the zombie movie and all the alien and ET fans will see the alien invasion movie and so on and so forth.
Female writer: Wait, if we write scripts for multiple movies we'd all be competing with one another. I have an even better proposal. Why make movies genres that are all similar when we can make something new? Seriously, all alien invasion movies are just "ahhh help aliens" and all zombie movies are just "ahh zombies, must surive" all movies of these genres are similar and people are probably getting bored of 'em. Why not have many apocalyptic events in once movie that way instead of attracting horror fans of certain genres we'd attract horror fans or ALL horror genres whilst attracting even more due to our originality. And instead of competing and acquiring less funds from limited audiences this plan will make our movie and writing industry famous once more whilst making us more rich from the vast audience.
Writer: Your creativity is like a blooming fragrant flower in the spring, your an inspiration to us all.

It was a beautiful modern day which as usual was taken for granted. Meanwhile Espylacopa inc. labs a new machine was being proposed. Like the Hadron collider a decade earlier it brought up much controversy back on earth. Scientists from other countries were unsure as to what tampering with certain energies might cause. Many feared the device under construction at Espylacopa would bring on the apocalypse. The controversy behind this device was so great that the nations supporting it's construction and those opposing it began to show some hostilities. It was very possible that this device would be behind WWIII and possible much much more.
OOC:
Your nation can choose whether or not it supports or opposes the machine Espylacopa is building. This machine will create an energy beam that directly or indirectly causes all the events discussed in the OOC thread to transpire. After this the goal for each nation will be to survive. Creating characters that go around surviving is optional. Enjoy the utter carnage everybody. :D
