"So 1314. You thought you could escape by traveling to some godforsaken country eh?" A man said, pride tipping his voice. 1314 gazed around him. Where was he? "You thought you could outsmart us. To be fair, you did. But you can only run for so long." Taking a better look around himself, 1314 saw he was in some sort of concrete room. "Come now 1314, did you really think Vincent was working with you just because he liked you?" 1314 tried to move his legs. Nothing. Looking down, his vision blurred, and his head throbbing, he saw he was chained. With what he didn't know. "He turned you in without a second thought. There's a lot a man will do, especially when working within the system." 1314 leaned his head back against the rough wall behind him. "What are you... Talking...oh God, my head..." 1314 became aware of a weight on his forehead. "A restrainer 1314, made just for you. Only the latest in technology." 1314 began to struggle, albeit weakly. "Don't even try 1314. We've got everything set up. Struggle too much, and we'll forget about due process of law." 1314 heard the voice again. I'm back little 13! 1314 blacked out...

OOC: It takes place about ten years before his first little incident with Greywatch. Which would be four years after he escaped, and before the infection crisis.

1314 looked around him. A bland, white space as far as the eye could see. A tap on the shoulder. 1314 spun around, only to see a tall figure smiling at him. The man standing near him smiled in a big toothy grin, despite missing a tooth or two, his eyes a blue-gray, his frazzled red hair making him look slightly crazy. "Who are you?"
"Why I'm YOU 1314! We're the same person, but different versions of ourself! A split personality one might say!"
"Wha-?"

1314 awoke with a start. "1314! I'm getting you out of here!" He heard someone whisper. Looking up, he saw a VERY familiar face. "Vincent!..." He muttered gleefully before slipping back into darkness...

"1314! Get up! hurry, before the guards come!" 1314 flexed his legs. he could move again! Taking Vincent's outstreched hand, he saw a better view of the room. Barren, concrete, and a bland grey. Looking over, he saw a door wide open on the far side of the room, and a man slumped down in a chair. Limping over towards the door, he was followed by Vincent. Looking at him, he smiled. "Get tired of the hamster on your face?"
"Just move 1314! We don't have time!"

1314 leaned heavily upon the doorway. "One moment... I need a rest..." Vincent glared at 1314 "If you don't keep going, you'll be taking a nice, long dirt nap!" 1314 put his hand on Vincent's shoulder to support himself. "Alright, alright..." 1314 muttered while walking out into the long dull hallway. "SHIT!" He yelled as a bullet slammed into the wall next to him. "Freeze!" A voice echoed down the hall, barely audible over the sound of the shot. Vincent grabbed 1314 and pulled him back into the room. "You trying to get yourself killed?"
"I'm still groggy Vin..." Vincent quickly kicked the door open again, and pulled out a before-unseen pistol. Firing shot after shot, he shouted at 1314 "Hurry, hurry, hurry!" 1314 quickly rushed out, running towards the guards downed body. "Other way 1314!" Vincent shouted as he turned away from the dead guard. 1314 began to regain some of his former strength, catching up to Vincent as they both ran down the hallway, stealth be damned!

"Hurry it 1314!" Vincent yelled, turning his head around, running backwards for a few seconds to see how 1314 was doing. Struggling far behind Vincent, 1314 was coughing and trying to support himself with the walls. Being completely smooth, 1314 wasn't having much luck. Vincent nervously glanced around him as he waited for 1314. "Come on! the guards'll be here any minute!" Vincent said, fear tinging his voice. Catching up to him, 1314 gasped "Vin... I need a break... The restrainer..." 1314 slowly sunk to the ground. Vincent sighed. "I'll stand guard. You can rest. Good thing this place is like an entire island..." Vincent's voice trailed off. But 1314 had already drifted off to sleep.

1314 saw horrible things, his mind raced with information and fear. He saw a bandaged THING with red eyes tapped a few buttons and ran to the side. A few seconds later, three guards ran in, and were promptly thrown back by a huge explosion. The same creature pulled out a grenade, surrounded by police officers, and dropped it in front of him, his sadism leaking through the bandages. It was there again, placing bomb after bomb in a hospital! Of all things, 1314 was the most horrified at this. He watched as it took out a rifle and fired shot after shot into a crowd of people, a single man surviving the brutal attack. 1314 was horrified as he saw the thing smash an officiers face into the ground. 1314 began to try and move. Nothing. Yet nothing was restraining him. Wait a minute, I'm dreaming, aren't I-

"1314! Wake up! We've got to move!" Vincent yelled as 1314 awoke with a start, hearing boots slam against concrete in the distance. "Come on!" He yelled as 1314 grabbed his hand and pulled himself up. Running down the hallway, all of his previous strength returned, 1314 began to outpace Vincent. As they turned a corner, a terrifying sight met them. "Freeze! Hands in the air!" One of the many guards yelle, rifles in the air. 1314 and Vincent both looked each other in the eyes before looking back at the guards. 1314 smiled, and put his hands in the air. Staring at the guards weapons, he focused on them with all of his strength. Vincent quickly kicked upwards as the first guards rifle lifted up, seemingly from it's own accord, as the rest soon followed. The guards thought since they had outnumbered them, 1314 and Vincent wouldn't be a problem. They would soon find otherwise...

Vincent quickly and effortlessly jumped up to grab the gun, only to find a hand wrapping around his ankle and throwing him to the ground. Pulling the GUR-V3 up to the guards, he unleashed several burst, as 1314 threw the remaining guards against the wall. Telekineticly of course. "Come on! They've probably set off an alarm!"
"Of course they haven't. Why would they do something like that?" 1314 muttered, rolling his eyes before following Vincent down the next hallway, hoping to find a way out...

1314 began to slow down. They'd been running for hours, and still no guards. "Vin. I'm tired, I'm sure you are, and I say we stop." Vincent looked back, somewhat jittery. "Speak for yourself." He muttered before stopping and taking out a few pills. Popping a single small pill into his mouth, he leaned against a wall, waiting for 1314. "Vin, where am I?" Vincent gave a humorless smile. "Novus abyssus." 1314 looked up sharply, red hair dangling in front of his face. "It's a myth! An urban legend!" 1314 said, fear piercing through his heart. Vincent scoffed

"Legends are usually based on truth. It seems this legend was almost to the dot. In the year 1340 AD, this island was confiscated. Not that anybody cared, there wasn't anything on this island. Slowly, the government shipped men and materials, digging almost three miles under the surface. We still don't know how they did it. Some say black magic, others, lost technology. But they did it."

1314's eyes widened with terror as Vincent continued, his voice scornful "They made this a true fortress, intricate maze-like hallways, constantly updated security systems, spotlights, boat patrols, you name it. Rising one thousand feet above the rest of the island, it defies all knowledge about physics and structural engineering, having kept in near perfect condition for almost a thousand years. A prison, for only the worst, those serving life sentences, or on death row. Only those who would not live to tell the tales. Of course, they also moved their genetic experiments here. Guess what might be wandering these halls? You don't think those guards were wearing bio-hazard suits for no reason, did you?" 1314 stared at Vincent, unable to avert his gaze "No. No. It's not true. This whole island is a myth! It's a dream! You bastard! Let me out of here! What is this, some sort of simulation?" Vincent glared at 1314

"Quiet down. This isn't a simulation 1314. This is real. You're awake, fully awake, and in the real world. This island, this fortress. It's all real. And you'll just have to deal with it. You were 'born' here 1314. Welcome home." Vincent said coldly, staring directly into 1314's eyes as he slowly backed away before throwing up, and finally passing out.

1314 slowly stood back up, watching Vincent leaning against the wall, rifle in hand. "Did the council have anything to do with this?" 1314 mubled weakly. "No 13. But you might want to avoid sleeping in the city from now on." 1314 supported himself against the wall and began to walk forward. "I'm ready."
Vincent lifted his head up."'Bout time."
