“I HAVE SEEN THE EDGE OF THE ABYSS”
Familiar to hear yet unknown.
“I KNOW YOU…YOUR PAST, PRESENT AND FUTCHER!”
And yet so friendly and so menacing.
“This is the way your life ends!”
Captain Seth Saffire sat looking out of the docking bay while behind him a gathering of men in armour was getting ready for a speech from him. A voice came from the left of him “You know there is still no word from the Darkness Region, you know ever since that mission caused the Infection of the Armageddon on the Darkness home world I doubt that we will hear anything from them.” Seth looked to the person to see a man with jet black hair the was shot back his eyes were comic blue and his face was clear tanned but on his left cheek he had a cross scar that stood out. And his clothes were worn and old. “Zack, you know all too well as do I there was nothing we could of done to prevent the outbreak on that world but we were lucky to survive it and make it home.” Seth replied Zack took a seat next to him to continue “Not all of us were lucky to make it home.” Seth remembered being at the terminal in the docking station of the Darkness home world talking to the A.I Mariah
She was looking at Seth and spoke “Seth get on that dark ship and get the survivors out of here!” Seth looked at the ship and then back to Mariah “What about you?” She turned her back to him and replied “I’ll stay here and make sure that I can get as many survivors off this planet before its too late and when that’s done I’ll erase any information of the Kingdom Force from the database so the infection can never find home.” Seth understood what he had to do “Don’t worry I’ll come back for you I promise!” he told her as he ran to the ship he was sure he heard her say “Don’t make a promise if you know you can’t keep it”.
He heard Zack’s voice “Seth, Hey Seth….Common Seth snap out of it.” Seth looked to Zack with a surprised look upon his face and then smiled and replied “Sorry I drifted off. Is it nearly time to choose the next group of people to train for S.Q.U.A.D?” Zack nodded and replied “Yes but we can only take on a few people.” As Seth looked back out the Docking Bay and replied “Good I need a distraction from my memories and the past.”
