...Follows a statement from the joint houses of government of Kitteria.
As of 00:00hrs today Kitteria declared by unaminous act of the joint houses of the lower house and the house of lords was declared a Protectorate to rescue our nation from corrupt and ineffectual leardeship.
The speaker of the House of Lords was elected Lord Protector acting in stead of the Monarchy in a role of Figurehead and representative abroad. The Prime minister remains as head of government and along with the cabinet holds responsability for all forigen and domestic poilicies and actions.
The rule of law still applies any citizen committing any crime will be delt with in the usual manner by fair trial by peers.
The military remains loyal to the state.
The regent who had held power has been removed to his country estate where he is to remain as a private citizen for the duration of the Protectorate however long it may last.
we assure all our neighbours and the world at large we are still stable our economy strong by issuing of new coinage to restore fiancial faith, and military forces are secure.
