"Today Dr.Kalandfy, the director of The Yegond National Institute of Medical Research (YNIMR), announced that they will attempt to remove the vocal cords of a 14 year old girl. The girl was choosen to be the test subject for this because she was spreading messages against the state! The YNIMR has also said that they hope to perfect a method of doing this so that they can do this on people who have spoken against the state instead of just executing them. A large protest had formed in front of where the girl is being held but it was broken up by the police! There was also a break-in attempt where some people tried to "rescue her" and were shot in the head. If you would like to comment on this issue please call the station! We wish to inquire as to what will happen to the little girl following this experiment? If it is at all possible, we would like to take here, for further experimentation. Name your price, a girl with no vocal cords is very rare, and we have been looking for such a test subject for sometime, as that is part of an experiment we have been planning for some time now. OFFICIAL DIPLOMATIC STATEMENT - The Cyberverse hereby declares war on Yegond.

Captain Ranna of the 1st Airborne Division of The Cyberverse sat in the cockpit of his BD-16 Hawkeye as his unit flew behind him. They each carried a payload of bombs designed to penetrate strategic military locations before they could be fortified.

"Target 1 - Yegond Border Military Base - coming up on screen"

The bomb aimers automatically trained their sights on the large fuel depot to the rear of the base. The lead bomber, however, targeted the fortified bunker in the centre.

"Dropping payload in 5...4...3...2...1...Bombs away"

The bombs fell towards their target, and the bombers turned for home. The pilots contemplated their actions. The first shots of the war had been fired. Captain Yrael radioed his success back to his commander, Saraneth.

"Commander Saraneth, we have dropped the payload"

"Excellent" hissed the reply over the radio. "Now it's their turn." Turning to his command console, he activated a net of defensive Anti-air defenses around the borders of his country. He also ordered 2nd and 5th Armoured to the borders with Yegond, to be met by 1st Infantry and 3rd Artillery.

"We are at a state of war with Yegond. All military units have been placed on high alert. No more comments"

But within the Council Chambers...

"Our invasion forces will take 24 hours to ready themselves. 5 regiments are en route to their target bases. However, bombers are already targeting bases in Yegond to soften them up."

Lord Yrael smiled. "Good. Attempt to open communications with the nation of Prazinia. And send a message to Yegond -

"Empty threats are not necessary. None of our citizens are within your borders, and those few who have seperated from the Cyberverse have already left them. We can still make peace. You have 24 hours before I begin a full-scale invasion. Perhaps the bombs falling on your soldiers will punctuate my message. Let the girl go and I am willing to open diplomatic talks one again."

International News Station:

Ana: "Hello. My name is Ana. Today we go live to Yegond where police are capturing everyone from The Armed Republic of the Cyberverse as prisoners of war. Our sources tell us that the prisoners are being horribly tortured for any information they have about The Armed Republic of the Cyberverse. Now I have with me General Dehg who ordered the capture of these citizens. What exactly is going to happen to these people in the end?"

General Dehg: "Well, We plan torture them for information. After that we will most likely be used for biological warfare expirimentation. However, if if The Armed Republic of the Cyberverse decide that they would like to end the war now, then they may have their citizens back. If they do not reply within three hours then their citizens fate will be sealed."

Ana: "Ok. Thank you. Well thats all the time we have for today! Thanks for watching and tune in next time!"

Emergency sirens rang throughout the country as government installations were evacuated.

General Dehg's office:
"Sir. There has been an attack." Said his assistant coming in.
"WHAT?! Good god. Ground all airtrafic now! If any plane is in the air in three hours I want it shot down. Prepare all military bases. Lockdown the borders."
The general picked up a phone and dialed The Center for Disaster Recovery.
"Hello?'
"Hi. This is General Dehg. I want the prisoners executed now! On TV. I want them to watch their citizens being tortured to death!"
"But....sir......we were bluffing. We dont have any citizens."
"Ok fine! Send a message to The Armed Republic of the Cyberverse. Tell them they may have the girl. But they must call off any attacks and pay for all damage to the military bases!"

Lord Yrael sat, unbelieving at is desk, laughing at the message from Yegond.

The tropical seas and insular rough territory are very familiar to those who have witnessed history, a scenery which before has served as a theater for the second world war, the Pacific, where the empire of Japan and the United States have clashed for supremacy. But now, those waters have witnessed a century of changes, in peace and war. Instead, an unique group of Slavs in a tropical land were now the controllers of such part of the pacific, preparing for yet another war, a war driven by faith and by ideology.

In the wake of the morning, in the inner waters of a large bay, a massive port stood, where several ships stood moored, but being readied as supplies passed from hand to hand, vehicle to vehicle towards them. Eight of them were Kiev Class aircrafts carriers (http://www.naval-technology.com/projects/kuznetsov/index.html), static, with several Yak-43 VTOL Multi-roles (http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/russia/yak-141.htm) and Su-25KM fighter-bombers (http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/russia/su-25.htm). There were also twenty-two Kirov Class Battlecruisers (http://www.naval-technology.com/projects/kirov/) arrayed among decks, twenty Udaloy-II Class ASW Destroyers (http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ship/row/rus/1155_1.htm) and thirtySovremenny Class Guided Missile Destroyers (http://www.naval-technology.com/projects/sovremenny/). And several The sea was still calm as the last Zubr Class Amphibious Assault Hovercraft (http://www.naval-technology.com/projects/zubr/) received the last soldier. The taskforce, which would be splitted into two main fleets was about to be deployed through thousands of nautical miles to its final destination: the nation of Yegond. Once you are out, you must never stop or distract, for this will not be easy. But we shall prevail, as the people of the Lord, our hearts are pure, may the Lord forgive our sins, and we shall triumph over tyranny! Prepare yourselves in the next five days and fifteen hours we have before the operation begins, for this will define not only our future, but the future of mankind."

Applauses came through all the cramped but large cargo bay as the soldiers enthusiastically song and demonstrated signs of awe with a fanatical fervor. For now, their crafts were yet to reach international waters, as behind, several logistics vessels stood to provide in travel refueling and extra supplies for the operation in hand. The two fleets began to take distant ranges, but not distant to the point their aircrafts would not be able to support each fleet, and it would take a time before they could arrive at the beachheads of Yegond. Five days and fifteen hours which would be the time for their new enemies to prepare for the incoming war.

Captain Ranna flew a fast-moving MX1 Ranger Rescue chopper to the borders of Yegond. The girl was unconcious, almost comatose, with horrific scars around her neck. She was immediately flown to a hospital within the Cyberverse, but died 3 days later.

As for the war, diplomacy continues.

"General Dehg, please detail the damage done to your border bases. We will verify it and then pay you reperations. After this I suggest that we do not remain angry towards one another, and continue talks about the future of our nations relationships"

Lord Yrael spoke to General Dehg, whilst General Orannis proclaimed the message to the peoples of The Cyberverse

"Yegond has given in! The war did not last a week! I ask you to forgive Yegond for their crimes, and celebrate the end of this war!"

OOC : Prazinia, please explain exactly how? I merely committed an assault, whilst stating facts about my own soldiers. I did not give damage reports, and left Yegond to make their own mind up about their response. To be fair, why would I have my citizens in a country of tyranny and control of the state? If there is something I did wrong, please explain it, and I will offer a full apology to Yegond and to you.

(OOC: Actually because unless you agree on sharing borders with Yegond, you can't just claim your aircrafts are ready to hit it immediately and that their combat radius covers the targeted area. Deploying forces takes time. Also you didn't give him any time to deploy interceptors or fighters)

We intend to preform an experimental Vocal Cord transplant surgery, after which, she will need to be kept under close supervision, for most of her life, as she will most likely need many drugs, and check-ups to ensure that there are no issues with the transplant. We have found a doner, which is very rare, and the chances of another coming up soon are slight. We will be sending our own transport, a supersonic on, to pick up the girl immediately. We need the girls name, now, and blood type, and would like all of her medical records to be waiting at the nearest international airport in 3 hours. The operation must be conducted with in 12 for there to be any chance of a success, so the sooner we get this done, the better. Worry not, the girl will be unable to return to your nation, ever, due to here medical needs, and therefore will not be speaking out against your government again. Remember, three hours, do not be late, we are on a tight schedule, and the longer she goes without vocal cords, the more damage that may be done, which could make transplant impossible. This will be a great leap forward in the field of medical research.

However, we will require that you make reparations to the child's family for the daughter the will never see again, and to the government of Yegond, for they're losses in the battle. The "Girl" was lying in a bed about ten feet under the basement floor in a small complex. Inside were five FASD agents fully armed. One week earlier they had managed to shift the girls with one of their agents who had been surgically modified to be an exact body double and now that agent was dead. They were . . . not happy. But the girl had been rescued simply by having her walk out of the hospital in a typical outpatient routine. Now, though, came the hard part. Extraction was going to be very very difficult and none of the Agents could be Identified as working for the ASD. They all knew what that meant.

To The Beatus,

It appears we have both been fooled. The fact that two young girls would be subjected to the same horrific treatment is despicable. I assure you that full reparations will be made towards the girl's family. I also wish to clarify that our leadership acted in the girl's best interests. If the girl had been transported at the time you replied to Yegond then she might already have been dead, and very hard to cure even for your no doubt highly skilled surgeons. We acknowledge that we acted rashly, but also that we did whatever we could to save the young girl.

Concerning the real girl... Due to the trillions that you have invested in this project, we will not attempt to sieze the girl. However, we offer full support in this matter and hope that you will accept any aid we can offer as a small step towards reimbursing you.

Passing the hospital where the girl was treated he saw a remarkable double walking out escorted by two heavy-set men. They got into an unmarked car, in which was the silhouette of one driver.

Returning to his safehouse, he contacted Commander Orannis of the Cyberverse

"Sir, I have some eyecam footage you may like to see"

Minutes later, orders came through for Ranna to investigate this matter further.

"Damn" he thought. "How am I gonna stay hidden from Yegond for even longer?"...


That was a week ago, Ranna thought, and now he was finally near his objective - "Retrieve the girl at all costs for negotiations with The Beatus." But he suspected that Yegond's police were onto him...

The chief warrant officer looked to his four troops. "alright guys and gals, this isn't gonna be fun no matter how we do it. The first option is plane. We have a private jet on an airfield under faked Beatus licensing but its over 200 kilometers away and its gonna be fun getting there. The second option is by boat. Its even farther but there are more back roads we ca take and once were in the boat we can blend in with the crowd. The third option is a straight drive out to the border and bluff or fight our way through. Finally we can make a break for the ASD embassy here. That last is the worst option as we will get blown and we will prolly end up in the middle of the fire fight.

Jimmy James, CEO, and owner, of Jimmy James incorporated sat at the bar, drinking a Jack Daniels, when two men in black suits approach him from behind, they sat on either side of him. "What now?" Mr. James asked, tired of being interrupted during happy hour. "It appears as if the Girl isn't dead. Someone made a switch," on of the men said. "Alright, tell Dr. Sanders I am authorizing protocol three, the world wide resources of Jimmy James Industries are his to locate, and recover the subject," Mr. James said, pulling a plastic card with a magnetic strip from his pocket, and handing it to the silent man. Both men left, and Mr. James returned to his drinking, and decided to watch the Baseball game he bet on.

In Yegond

Two men, dressed in brown trench coats, and wearing red high top sneakers, were watching a complex. They in a coffee shop not far from the complex. They had received verified intel that a person, matching the subjects description was inside the complex. They had been watching for a few days, and as of yet had counted two, maybe three men come in and out of the building. They were definately not small time criminals, and were working for some greater force. From the dimensions of the complex, and what the men brought in when they entered the building, the agents estimated that there were five to eight people in the complex. They decided that, by the level of the operation, they were most likely all armed. Aside from the two men in the coffee shop. There were three more, disguised as painters, who operated the command center out of an abandoned complex down the block. That was where the heavy equipment was stored, including M14 rifles, FN P90s, M26A1 fragmentation grenades, and M84 stun grenades. Between the intel, and the weapons they had invested over 76 million dollars in this nation already, but they're job was clear, secure the subject, alive, otherwise they may as well turn themselves into the local police, and hope that the locals can protect them.

IC : Captain Ranna contacted the rest of his unit which surrounded the building. Two snipers covered roof entrances, whilst 3 assault troopers in exoskeletons waited at the two back doors. With Ranna, there were in total 9 soldiers in full exoskeletons. They had been drafted in as an emergency precaution, at great risk to The Cyberverse, 3 days before.

Ranna, dressed in a suit and tie, with body-armour underneath, walked up to the front door and knocked on it. Secretly, however, he had placed a small charge on the door - he didn't expect an answer. Moving to the side, he drew his M7 Suppressed SMG and waited for the blast...

In Yegond

The agents in the coffee shop watched as the complex was surrounded. "[expletive], somethings going down," one of the agents whispered to the other. The other pressed a button on his watch, and a light began blinking in the house down the street, informing the others that something was happening, and to get ready. The two agents in the coffee shop, left rather abruptly, and began walking down the street, opposite the complex, to the house that was being painted. Meanwhile, inside the house, the other agents, gathered the equipment together, and began watching through the blinds of the window. One of the men, Agent Jones, had his M-14 trained on the man on the doorstep. The other two Smith, and Adams readied they're P90s, and waited for the two agents from the coffee shop, Agents Gregor, and Mickelson, to arrive, so they could arm up, and ensure that all the weapons were taken with them, so the left no trace behind.

Under the house
"Shit! we got a problem sir!" Said Corporal Yeager "at least two guys who seem to be watching us in rotations and another one just placed a charge on the door above!"
"fuck!" Replied the chief "Omara cover us! Everyone alpha three now!"
"sir! yes sir! replied the group."
the one agent in cammo and Armor grabbed the girl and hustled her up a small corridor heading under the ground rear of the building. The four others grabbed HK XM29 SABR OICWs, LDA sidearms, Dragon skin class four armor and optical/thermal cammo gear and separated. A Sargent also grabbed a Dakota longbow Sniper Rifle as Private Omara grabbed plastic charges and the chief grabbed an anti-tank launcher. Private Omara began to set chargers on the metal door that was the only other entrance to the bunker and was concealed under two crates in the basement of the house above. the other three followed the Girl and her escort up the small corridor. Above a blast could be heard.

Captain Ranna heard the commotion inside - obviously his snipers had been spotted. He ran into the building and ducked into cover, ordering his hopefully still hidden assault troopers into the building. The stray rounds two stories up did nothing to the exfilation efforts below. Omara was done setting charges and had them proximity fused. She was now setting charge on the corridor. Small, claymore like, charges that blended into the Grey walls of the corridor slightly. about three hundred meters further along the four other team members and the girl had exited the corridor into a two car garage three houses down in which there was one red Mitsubishi EVO and one black non-descript Volkswagen golf.

Agents Gregor and Mickelson entered the house, just as the explosions rocked the block. "I want the infrared on that house now, I want to see what is going on," shouted Gregor. Moments later, a screen was up, showing blobs moving about the top floor, and a blob in the basement in the rear wall. "They're moving the subject. There must be some way out through the basement," agent Mickelson pointed out. "All right, let's move out," shouted Agent Gregor. Moments later, all five agents, and all of their weapons were in the painters van out in front of the house. Inside the house, the gas jets on the range were wide open, but not lit, and a match stood lit, in the next room. The van sped away from the house, tires squealing, past the place where the girl was held, and around the corner towards the back of the house. Moments later, the house exploded in a fireball, large amounts of paint thinner and alcohol augmented the gas explosion. The dead bodies of painters would be found in the house, charred. To the local authorities it would look like some painters were drunk, and a gas leak ignited when one lit a match.

Sniper Unit 2, on the roof opposite a building further down the road, noticed rapid movement going into the low garage attached to it.

"Hey, Byrd, I think they're trying to escape"

Corporal Byrd looked back at Private Hawk from his position opposite the target building.

"Don't call me Byrd" he said, sliding back into the aiming position. "Chuck a quick-place mine outside the door."

Then an explosion rocked the street to the west.

"Shit. Fast light movers, going towards the building. Hawk, take down anything that moves from the garage. If they get out get a tracker onn the vehicles."

The QPM was a small, nearly invisible mine to be deployed in emergency situations. Whilst not heavily damaging, it would disable any car that tried to leave the garage whilst dazing the occupants and bystanders for 10m in any direction.

It armed itself just as the sound of engines were heard.



Ranna got a message on his voice-com.

"Sir, they're trying to get away by vehicle. They must have had another escape route. Also Beatus troops moving to your position"

The car was very suspicious moving that fast, just after the raid on the subjects location. Agent Gregor quickly made a decision, "turn around, after that red car," he shouted. Agent Adams, the driver, pulled a quick u-turn and opened up the after market engine that was in the old looking van, moving in pursuit of the red car.

The QPM had fallen short.

Then Byrd looked at the van, no doubt carrying Beatus troopers, heading straight for the mine.

"Oh shit."



Ranna was in a fast-moving jeep turning onto the road. The red car was in front, and his sniper team and the new aggressors behind.

"Hold on... Hawk, were did that mine go?" asked Ranna?

The QPM had fallen short.

Then Byrd looked at the van, no doubt carrying Beatus troopers, heading straight for the mine.

As the Red car attempted to get out of the Garage a mine exploded disabling both the red evo and the painters van across from it. All three figures immediately bailed from the car and moved to get under cover behind it. Within the Garage Omara had just popped out of the hatch as the mine went off and she immediately tumbled back behind the trapdoor. Swearing she popped back out of the door and jumped into the drivers seat of the Volkswagen as the Sargent riding shotgun rolled under the car.

OOC : No, they were throwing towards the garage, not away from it. So if fell short would fall into road.

Within moments the agents realized the van was disabled, but even more interesting was the fact that it was disable right in front of the subject. There were two men in the front of the van, and three in the back, the two in the front readied they're P90s, while two of the three in the back, cooked two of the M84 stun grenades, just before they were set to go off, the third man opened the sliding door on the side of the van, the other two tossed the grenades, and the man closed the sliding door again, the flash of the explosion was just barely visible as the door was still open a bit when it happened.

All Cyberverse forces, retreat. I repeat, retreat!

The men in the front of the vehicle, got out just after the flash grenades went off. The men in the rear were exiting the vehicle, when the AT round penetrated the front windshield, being design to penetrate thick tank armor and then explode, the round went through the windshield, impacted into the rear doors of the van, and the shape charge explode mainly behind the van. The three men in the back were on the pavement when the round exploded. The force of the shaped charge cause the van to lurch forward, rolling towards the garage. Meanwhile, the two men who had originally exited the front of the van, opened fire with they're P90s on the man who had fired the AT shell. All five men were on constant look out for the girl. The chief had ducked down behind the evo again as the men opened up. the van rolling forward offerd some cover to the private and corporal who retreated blindly back behind the evo. underneath the Volkswagen the Sargent opened fire with his SABR firing three air bursting grenades towards the men that were now uncovered by the truck and triggering 7.62 rounds towards them as well. Omara bailed out of the front of the Volkswagen and joined him in opening up on the enemies walking five grenades across the enemy positions then switching to 7.62 rounds as well. In the back seat the girl had ducked behind steel reinforce seats and was huddled there. The cheif had taken a single round to the chest but it was stopped by the armor and he activated camouflage and began to slowly and quietly move round the left side of the vehicle while brining his SABR to his shoulder.

All were equipped with powered exoskeletons, a prototype system which not only protects the user but grants them incredible physical prowess. Also, all carried UMMS compatible M468 assault rifles, frag and flash grenades, and thermal vision goggles.

They were on route to the site in 2 spec-ops, minigun-armed Humvees, smuggled in through lax port authorities. They came from both directions. As they neared the site, they started their barrels spinning.
