Cazelia
02-07-2008, 19:00
Introduction
It all began with Cazelia's first mission to space. 60 Brave men and women aboard the DRAF Supreme ventured into the unknown. What they found was a habitable system of planets, which they dubbed the Synteris sytem, and settled on the planet of Syntera. It was the beginnings of an interstellar empire, the Free Republic of Cazelia

Species Information
Human: Not much to say about humans. They are the most common of the two races of the Free Union. They inhabit every planet and are the backbone of the FRC Military.
Humans make up 60% of the FRC, as they are the most efficient workers, scientists and thinkers.
Kal'Teth: Kal'Teth are evolved Kal'Har. They are known to live to 200-250 years on average; and are known to very wise. They are experts in the art of war. Their warriors are trained at a young age in close combat and shooting. They are the most brutal the FRC have to offer.
Kal'Teth worlds provide the FRC with most of it's food; the reason being they are amazing farmers and hunters. Kal'Teth worlds are almost pollution free due to their Spiritual belief that nature is alive
Seraphim: The Seraphim are a race of frail, but highly intelligent humanoids. Seraphim planets are heavily polluted, and produce most of the FRC's armaments, ships and vehicles. The Seraphim are heavily industrialized, and either export or clone their food.
The Seraphim's National Army does not use Synths, unlike the FRCM and the HNA. They prefer to use completely mechanical vehicles and weapons. The Seraphim economy is as stated before; based on arms manufacturing, although it has other
Military Information
The FRC's military is one to be reckoned with. Even the most basic infantry are considered elite by most who have seen them in action. The Military's training camps are often more brutal than most battlefields; they are taught to put their honor before their lives, and often do. The Military requires every citizen of age 18 to serve 6 months in the service. It is also required for every man wishing to study at an Officer's Academy to have two years of prior military service.
The FRC's Navy has not changed since the dawn of the nuclear age. (Well, other than the fact that the ships are in space now...) An FRC fleet is organized as so:
-1x Fleet Carrier
-1x Supercapital
-3x Heavy Battleships
-5x Battlecruisers
-7x Light Carriers
-10x Missile Cruisers
-12x Light Cruisers
-17x Frigates
-30x Escorts
-500x Fighters
-300x Bombers
Aircraft used by the fleets are F/A-19 Longsword Heavy fighters, F/A-43 Viper Light fighters, AV-14A Gunships, B-94 Strike Bombers and B-5B Supersonic strike aircraft.
The FRC's military is heavily supported by what are known as Synths; Half-organic, half-man made weapons of war. These awesome hybrids were created by taking animals that were found useful to the military, and upgraded with weaponry, armor and a computer. On some Syths, like the S-3 [url="http://images.wikia.com/half-life/en/images/7/7d/HL2Gunship.jpg"] (http://www.nationstates.net/images/flags/upload/cazelia__1.jpg)Gunship, a rotor blade was added into the Synth to allow it to maneuver like a helicopter gunship.
Synth ground units are also employed, and are known to inspire fear in those who have seen them. The standard ground attack Synth is the S-2 Mammoth (http://images.wikia.com/half-life/en/images/9/98/Episode2-strider.jpg). It is armed with an MG-2 Pulse Machine-Gun, just like all other combat Synths. Although the Synth is a highly efficient weapon of war, Synths are not used to transport
History
-2089: Cazelia sends first mission out of Solar sytem to Syntera
-2153: The ship arrives, and a colony is set up
-2190: All contact with earth is lost
-2218: First Contact is made with the Seraphim
-2251: The FRC is formed between the Cazelians and the Seraphim
-2296: The FRC spreads through 4 systems, encountering a group of Kal'Har Astronauts from a Cazelian-funded mission
-2301: DNA Samples are found on the Kal'Har ship, which contain DNA from multiple leaders of Cazelia through time
-2321: Cloning research proves hard and is abandoned for the time being
-2438: The FRC finds an abandoned alien world, with much of the technology still intact
-2455: Synth Technology is mastered, thanks to the alien artifacts found.
-2461: the FRC forms a standing army made of Humans and Synths
-2493: First successful human clone is created
-2499: FRC Scientists discover basic principles of slipstream technology
-2503: The first working slipstream engine is designed by Allen Mossman
-2509: Mossman's slipstream engine is put in storage
-2513: Seven of Cazelia's former leaders are cloned and genetically enhanced
-2529: After spending 19 years in a cryogenics chamber, the seven clones are taken to memory regeneration.
-2531: The FRC's first working Slipstream capable ship is created
Economy
The FRC's economy revolves heavily around arms manufacturing and farming. FRC Military Arms is responsible for selling vehicles, small arms and Synths to other races in and out of the FRC. The farming is undertaken mostly by the Kal'Teth, who are professionals at the trade. The Seraphim provide cheap labor due to their use of mechanical workers; allowing a greater income and therefor a richer economy.
The human's economy is based around everyday products such as clothing, computers and transportation. Munitions are also produced on planets with a large human majority.
In the early years of the Free Republic, paper was very scarce due to the lack of trees on Syntera, so the government issued the Universal Currency Card; a palm sized card which contained all of the said person's information and money. Over the years these cards have changed, and now a fingerprint and an eye scan is required to complete a monetary transaction; Meaning that if the card is stolen, it would be impossible to be used by the thief.
Technology
The FRC's technology is somewhat confusing. In certain areas, such as cloning and Synth creation, the FRC is more advanced. Cazelia lacks any form of teleportation, and is severely lacking in the areas of small faster than light drives. Smaller ships must be carried by a slipstream carrier, however, slipstream gates are being developed by scientists and are expected to be completed within five years.
