After speaking to her ministers, Arch Aristocra Melinda Vates turned to her Minister of Forieng Affairs. "I wish to reach out to other nations so we may proclaim the existensce of the Confederation and have them recognize our nation"
The Minister nods her head, knowing this is an important step in Juntastan's goal to secure it's position of neutrality in the world. "You are correct, your Excellency. How much should I tell them of us?". The Arch Aristocra's eyebrows crease as she ponders the Ministers question. "As long as we do not violate the Great Belief, we should be fine. We must not be so strict that we read more into the Scriptures then was revealed in them. I have always felt that Juntastan needed more trade and needed to secure important treaties of nuetralities with other nations. Besides, I just delivered my speech on the powandah's (note* Juntastanese for "unbeliever") sacreligious violation of our airspace.
The Minister nods her head. "Your correct, Your Excellency. What is your command?". Sitting silently, the Arch Aristocra says "Send out telegrams to all the worlds major embassys requesting official recognition of the existensce of Juntastan and also a nuetral country to act as arbiters in negotiating the removal of those damn blasphemous satelites!" The Minister of Forieng Affiars nods and goes to her office in the Palace of Nobility to send out telegrams requesting:

1) the official recognistion of Juntastan as a nation state
2) the assistance of a nuetral country to act as an arbiter for Juntastan to negotiate the removal of all satelitespresentlyin outer space over Juntastan and so defuse the situation.

Juntastan is a Democratic nation that has: The Assembly of Citizens (Our House), Assembly of Major Houses ( These consists of Major Houses which are the Founding Families of Juntastan and those whom have been adopted into the Major Houses) and the Office of The Arch Aristocra ( Our sort of "Prime minister")
Our elections for all the Assembly of Citizens and Assembly of the Major Houses is democratic and voted for by the population of Juntastan's seven Provinces, which in turn are administered by the Seven Major Houses.
Election to the position of Arch Aristocra is decided by a general election and the canidates performance in the Games-athletic and cultural competitions. After that, the winners have an Electoral War, where the various Houses that have canidates for the office of Arch Aristocra fight each other untill there is only one House, wether Major or Minor that, that eaither has gained the victory or all the other Houses have surrendered.

Right now were in the Electoral War process, with the House of Vates, The Minor House of Achilles, The Minor House of Agamnemnon and the Major House of Johnson fighting in the Straits a naval engagement to decide whom will be Arch Aristocra.

Our religion is The Great Belief, and it is forbidden by our religion to be seen by non-believers, to eat their food or for our buildings, ceremonies or holy sites to be photographed by non-Juntastanese. Our Scriptures our off bounds, allthough you wouldn;t understand them anyway since their written in Kindred, the language of Juntastan and our name for ourselves.

Our society is the direct descendant of the Mycanean and the survivors of the Trojan War. So were Greco-Roman in basic culture, in many ways. We practice a derivative of the traditional pre-Christian religion of Rome and Greece.

Our policy is strict nuetrality towards other nations. We do not support or oppose any nation and maintain our military solely for the purpose of self defense and security. They also protect the interior of Juntastan from non-believers, whereas all trade occurs on the West Coast of Juntastan in a couple cities open to non-Juntanese and non-believers.

The Ixanian Empire recognizes the nation of Juntastan to be a sovereign and independent state with all the rights and powers of other said states. However, we shall not get ourselves entangled in the satellite issue but rather hope that needless bloodshed may not occur.

We, after your blatant threats against international satellite traffic, and poor foreign relations habits, do not recognize the "Confederation of the Juntastan Ascendacy" as a soveriegn state.

We know that it has been said, but we are going to repeat it so you may get it through your head.

Space satellite traffic cannot be averted over a nation, as that would require repositioning the satellites at a great expense; a cost that is not worthy of such an insignificant nation.

Asgarnieu will not reposition our satellites, and should they happen to pass over Juntastan, high-resolution photographs, infrared photographs, or ground-penetrating infrared photographs may be taken as part of our world surviellance system. We would expect only the same from your nation if Juntastan had the capabilities to perform such surviellance.

We will not be moved on this issue.

The Great Belief teaches that since we are the direct descendants of those who fought at Troy (see the Illiad), that we are the Chosen People of the Gods.
So basically we have rules against being ritually poluted, because if we are we must endure a thorough cleansing which includes being scrubbed down, epidermal ebrasion, fasting and meditation.
As for our Gods, we worship them but we are monothesists in a way. It is taught that the Gods and Goddessess are merely different facets of the One whom is beyond human understanding or comprehension.
So we are polythesists in a way, but we believe all the Gods and Goddessess are simply different aspects of a Supreme Diety, whom we refer to as the One.
Also, we don't proselytize, but we do accept non native born people, as long as their willing to be adopted by one of the Houses. Family and blood ties are important to us.
Our religion requires that all young people, whom we calle ephebes, to spend one year before their Ascension rite to live outsdie the law. Basically, they must do whatever is necessary to feed, clothe and survive on the outskirts of society. The laws that apply to Citizens do not to them, so whatever they must do to survive they are allowed to do. If they make it that year and desire the benefits of Citizenship, the Rite of Ascension is celebrated and their made full Citizens of Juntastan.
Besides that, our religion studies DNA, genetics and biology as we see in it the writing of the Gods, and we also have Sages who are Philosophers who usually can be found in the mountains. These usually are young men and women who are seeking a closer relationship to The Gods and thereby a better understanding of the One.
Our Sages act as prophets, while the Pontiffs are simply preists of a local Temple. The Pontiffs officiate sacrafices of animals, prayers and services.
Each God has his Pontiffs and then a Supreme Pontiff, the Pontifix Maximus.
The Sages have their Schools where they expound on more Philisophical implications of the Scriptures, interpertations, e.t.c. Like I said, many of them stay in the mountains meditating and studying, but most eventually return to a city to begin teaching and setting up a School for students.

Many ASoGM ministers read this and had a good laugh. The Juntastani's didn't realize that this technology wouldn't stop any of the ASoGM's weather satellites from spotting them through the IR or Thermal imagers. Of course, nobody would be stupid enough to brag about this to the Juntastani's.

Under normal circumstances, we would consider aiding a nation in such a simple request that should have very little consequence on our part. While we would in another situation offer to mediate, we feel that the rest of the world is unlikely to have any desire to budge an inch and we will not put forth the effort in vain. However, we will formally recognize your nation as a legitimate country with legitimate leaders as long as you remain capable of accepting that you are not the only culture and nation in the world and are indeed but one bee in the hive.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for your religion, as we have fairly rigorous demands when accepting faith systems in our nation. Of course, we approve of it as long as it remains outside of our borders and does not trouble us, so there should be no problems in this respect. We warn that backhanded comments are recognized as hostile behavior, however. Despite this, we wish to offer meager help with a variety of things should you simply ask and they do not require us to defend you or otherwise destroy our relatively neutral stance.
