The Most Serene Noble Republic of Santheres wishes to extend an invitation for all nations to establish an embassies within the Old City of Our capital, San Gianpiero. It is the safest and least crowded part of the city, located on an island in San Gianpiero harbor and completely lacking in any of the high-tech, skyscraping structures which make up much of the rest of Our cities. For those fond of a nostalgic atmosphere, the Old City holds to its six hundred-year-old heritage. It is a city of canals, broad squares, and narrow walking streets. Vehicles are restricted to the few main thoroughfares as the majority of the Old City was, understandably built for pedestrian traffic; vehicles are necessary should you cross into the metropolis, however. The Old City is an entity of its own and has all the shopping, medical, and academic resources one would need.

Across the bay, you will see a high sea wall, topped with many turrets and beyond this are several large clusters of skyscrapers, many of which are connected through large footbridges or by the public tram system. A well-maintained public tram system relieves much of the traffic on the ground -- in fact, you may find that automobiles are not nearly as common as our population would suggest they would be. Should you venture into any urban areas, we suggest you take inform the Office of State Affairs so they can arrange an escort of officials who are familiar with the city as it is very easy for foreigners to get lost, especially in the Sky City tower complexes.

Security should be of little concern due to the high ratio of civil police-stationed gendarme and reservists, though we still suggest not taking any risks and always being accompanied by at least one member of your security detail.

Now, for the relevant information: embassies come in two parts, one for a residence and one for official offices. On the island just north of the airport are estates which have no wheeled-vehicle access, but have a large canal and enough space for helicopters; they are also large with surrounding grounds for aesthetic appeal and added security. These are for the homes of ambassadors and their families You have two choices for location: inside along the canal or outside along the coast of the island.

Main offices will be established in the Piazza Basilica, the square in front of the Basilica, the official seat of government and where the Consiglia meets. They are converted guild houses, tightly packed, with ten on each of three sides. For your safety and comfort, We ask you do not place your embassy beside a current enemy of yours, should you have any. Guild houses have ground vehicle access, canal access on the three guild sides, but will not have space for helicopters, except in the case of an emergency.

Travel to and from the estate to the offices will generally be via water taxi, two of which will be assigned to each diplomatic entourage and may be operated either by our own personnel, or by yours following a brief training and testing period.

Weapon Limitations: We do not allow heavy weaponry or explosives anywhere within Old City limits. All weapons and equipment obtained through the MAC Heavy Industries storefront are banned from the country and may result in your application being rejected in its entirety. Any attempt to bring items of this nature into the country will result in their immediate confiscation and destruction.

Vehicle Limitations: Military-grade vehicles will not be allowed, vehicles with weapons will certainly result in your application being placed on hold until they are removed. You may wish to bring 1) a helicopter, 2) a small boat. Both may be provided for you if you cannot supply them, however. You are limited to five (5) vehicles, not counting the boat.

Diplomatic immunity will be in effect for civilian personnel for misdemeanors. Military personnel are not covered and must obey all laws. Any felonies committed by any member of a diplomatic mission will be prosecuted with all due haste. Military personnel are hereby defined as any member of the diplomatic mission who maintains possession of a firearm whether or not they are uniformed or ranked, or in any way have ties to the armed forces of their nation.

By establishing an embassy in Santheres, you are tacitly agreeing to restrict trade conducted with the nations of: Anghele.

We fail to see what such an "extreme emergency" would be and will not allow these weapons on the Old City island. However, they may remain at your residence on the estate island. They will be registered and may not be used without authorization. Usage is defined as brandishing them in public in any way. Be advised that your security forces are not covered by diplomatic immunity.

Your embassy will be prepared quickly provided you do not change your mind. We are afraid that your request didn't go through; though we ourselves had some misgivings about this "psi gate," the Giarelli Family was actively opposed to any such technology that is entirely unknown to us and could therefore be anything. If it even is what you say, then we have the concern that any kind of "teleportation" could easily result in the transfer of war materiel, which is illegal in public, civilian airports; for that matter, active weapons such as nuclear warheads could be transferred and set off in quick order after arriving in our territory.

Put simply, we don't trust it and we wonder how it even exists.

We wish to apoligise for the problems in our application. As we come from a military nation we somtimes forget that most nations are not used to seeing armoured vehicles on their roads. We apoligise for the problems and wonder if our un-armed versions of the Vixen Landrover would be aceptable or if not then our armoured Dodge Chargers. the reason for such vehicles is that we belive in protection to the higest degree and whilst we do belive your gendarme can provide protection we feel more secure with our own.

Also the MAC-303 rifle is a modified MAC-56 Rifle that fires a .303 round with a 15 round box clip.
