Preface:

At the decision of the Grand Duchy of Kleve-Berg's Foreign Ministry, its parliament and in the name of Engelbert III, Grand Duke of Kleve-Berg by the Grace of God and the poeple's will, I have the honor to compile a small gazette to educate the masses about the Grand Duchy.

This is done in the hope of making Kleve-Berg better known abroad, to create stable international relations and to provide hard facts and fine informations to the interested citizens and tourist alike.

Geography and Climate

While the Western part of Kleve-Berg consists of plain, the Eastern part sports rigged hills.

The soil consists of loess (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loess) at the plains and clay soil in the hills.

Kleve-Berg is located in the temperate zone and has a result of being the first elevation South-Eastern of the sea a well above average rainfall. This results in an over-abundance of mid to large sized brooks and rivers in the area.

Important cities are Düsseldorf (capital), Kleve, Wuppertal, Wesel, Siegburg, Essen and Duisburg.

The Grand Duchy of Kleve-Berg is divided into 4 Départements, which are subsequently devided into 12 Arrondissements and 78 Cantons.
