At last week's elections in the Grand Duchy of Kleve-Berg, the Christian Democrat Party has suffered mild losses, which however made it loose its status as largest faction in the he Lower Chamber of Kleve-Berg's parliament, the 'Bergische Volksversammlung'.

Profit from this loss has mostly the Liberal Democrat Party and to a lesser amount the Social Democrats.

The seat distribution now as following:

Social Democrats: 37
Christian Democrats: 32
Liberal Democrats: 22
Greens: 6
Republican Democrats: 4

After tough negotiations a governing Coalition between the SDP and the LDP has been formed and Dr. Kurt Scharwächter was appointed as new Staatsminister, Kleve-Berg's Head of Government.

As aims of this new administration Dr.Scharwächter stated:

Building strong international relations
Improving Kleve-Berg's economy
Reducing the Grand Duchy's unemployment
Gaining WA membership
