National Radio News 1

After an hour long debate, the Government announced it has authorized the Military to invade the neighboring nation of Adjikstan to secure the border and to open up a route to the ocean. It is believed that they intend to annex Adjikstan because of its strategic location near a different ocean. Top officials in the military expect this to be a short campaign, due to Adjikstan's almost nonexistent military.

The 76th Guards Chernobyl airborne division stood in formation, prepping for their mission which was to be assigned by General Zhukov. When he arrived, the area fell silent as he fumbled with the sound system.

"Comrades!" he began, "In six hours time you will participate in "Operation Mad Jackal". You, the 76th, will be the spearhead of this operation. In the beginning hours of the operation, you will be airdropped in three strategic areas; Baghram Airport, the Adjikstani capital of Kandahar, and the Krasnyj Valley on the border. Once the gorge and the valley are secured, we will begin deploying the remaining forces. Once we have these, you will be relieved by regular Army forces, and assigned in keeping the heights to protect our supply columns. Special Forces will assist you in these operations, having deployed some time ago as shock troopers. The Kolgujevska forces will be joining you shortly, and are tasked with occupying the capital. Dismissed."

Several hours later the heavy transport craft were loaded up. It was early morning on a sunday, people were more then likely still sleeping. No one in Adjikstan knew of what would unfold in the coming hour.

The jump light in the AN-124 went green. "time to go." a paratrooper thought. All 90 para's in this aircraft stood and waited for the command. they were 6,000 feet off the ground, heading towards the airport. When hey were at the designated area they began piling out of the small door near the front of the plane, while the rear cargo door launched out their armor; two BMD-3's and a Sprut gun. It was mid-October, so it was relatively chilly here. When the troopers landed, about half mile off target, they regrouped along with the armor and advanced on the airfield. On the tarmac was several "bombers", which were really just Cessna's with two 150lbs bombs strapped to the wings and a M60 machine gun pintle-mounted on the side door. These, judging by their condition hadn't been flown in years and were falling apart in their own weight. The para's ran up to each one and threw a White Phosphorus grenade inside, causing them to go up in a nice ball of fire. Suddenly a burst of fire was heard from the control tower; an old man with a sub-machine gun that was older then him. His gun was able to get off a few shots before it stovepiped, and before a marksman put a round through his head.

Ranakin looked around as he was handed the telegram from USSCP about the current situation. He looked over the cliff face as he watched the seagulls feed off the dead rebels below them at the rocks.

"We can't send a military force but maybe the Lynion Assassin's can do something about it," started Ranakin as Woff and Jian appeared next to him.

"Why not send 500 Lynion Assassin's with orders to aid the USSCP. However, if its discretness you're after, why not the Black Hand Mercenary Company?" suggested Woff.

Ranakin sat down as he couldn't really risk sending many troops overseas but the mercenaries were after work so it all seem to have fitted in.

"Have the Black Hand go to USSCP and settle the troubled nations however they see fit," ordered Ranakin.

Lavakhan studied the telegram as Hawkeye checked his high-powered sniper rifle. He switched to his PDA as they crossed over into northern Adjikstan where they were supposed to have gone to. Ion and Harris formed up the rear as they treck over in their camo gear as the distanct sound of gun fire could be heard.

"Six heads they want alive," started Lavakhan as he turned into a werewolf. "Don't take the job too easy,"

Hawkeye nodded his head as he scanned the mountains quickly before the group vanished into the dense jungle.

The airfield was captured in less then 20 minutes; most of it walking between buildings. The only occupant was the old man who was in charge of security. The Paratroopers at the gorge were already in place, with military convoys beginning to roll through. The airport would be the forward command base.
The forces that were deployed to the capital faced moderate resistance from the police forces, who surrendered after loosing several hundred officers in wave attacks. The Presidents palace was the sight of a large battle. The Presidential Guards were much better armed then the police and had entrenched themselves inside the building. because of the mortar shells the VDV fired at the palace, parts of the roof were caving in. The Adjikstani army had sent out a few T-34-85 tanks, hoping to force the VDV forces in the capital to retreat. many of the tanks broke down before they even reached the city. The ones that did had trouble getting to the city center, which was congested from the early morning traffic. This made it easy for a Hunter-Killer team to wipe them out.

By nightfall, the VDV had been reinforced by ground troops and many T-72BM tanks. While the people of Adjikstan had a deep hatred for the USSCP, they weren't willing to start an insurgency immediately. The former President had the vision of a peaceful country, banning firearms in the cities and disarming the military. They would need the help of the warlords in the mountains, and other militant groups worldwide. The supplies they would need would now be hard to get since the supply depots were bombed, so they were limited to what they could steal. Many thought leaving the country was their best option, and began to flee the country. A few dyed-in-the-wool patriots had formed a resistance group in a basement. They constantly bickered over the situation at hand.

In the mountains there are large numbers, however you will usually encounter small groups. They know these mountains like the back of their hands, and know how to hide in them effectively. Should you follow them into caves, I recomend throwing in a stun grenade or frag first.

A convoy going through the mountains had been ambushed by militants, killing dozens of soldiers. and allowing the militants to supply themselves with various weapons; much better then the ones they had before. They had fled to a nearby mountain top village.

One of the Squads from a detachment stationed around the bend crawled up the mountainside. They wold reach the village by nightfall and take their revenge. It was a small village, of roughly 100 people. The majority of them were elderly people or children. They didn't know this, though. All they knew was the militant forces retreated to this village.

"Alfansi, Volodya and Khokol flank left. Me, Stas and Sasha will go right. The rest of you straight ahead. Be as quite a humanly possible."

One of the soldiers creeped up behind a farmer, who was on his midnight smoke break and slit his throat. Another villager got a bayonet in the back.
A soldier had tripped over a corpse and accidentally fire a round, which had hit once of his friends in the shoulder. After that hell broke loose. Startled by the noise, everyone in the village woke up and went outside, and the soldiers thinking they fell into a trap began to open on the crowd. After the massacre, the soldiers went around looking for the weapons cache; only finding a few bolt action rifles, a rusty shotgun and a old Uzi submachine gun. They deemed this as enough evidence to bring back to the Captain, and proceeded to loot the place, taking non-perishables, CD-Players, a guitar, a goat..

When they were done, they began throwing white phosphorus grenades in the huts. Anyone left inside would have been killed by those. They patched up the wounded soldier and proceeded back to camp, with the goat carrying the stolen goods.

Late last night the occupying forces razed a small peaceful village in the Khost province, killing all 105 residents, many of them children. It is unknown why they did this horrible act, but I personally call it ethnic cleansing. In other news, the super highway construction has finished, despite obvious obstructions. Today there is a 60% chance of rain, with snow in the mountains...

"Comrade, we currently have 15,000 troops in-country, all volunteer. Supply columns are proceeding smoothly."

"What about other conflicts?"

"We have an NKVD detachment supported by a Spetsnaz company in a small country far off on a peacekeeping mission, and the force that was assigned to protect those researchers is now under the control of the Kolgujev Military. Overall, we are capable of participating in international issues."

"And the viral outbreak?"

Adjikstan

Just another routine supply convoy. A large number of ZIL-131 trucks moved slowly up the hill, lead by two T-64MV tanks and several BMP-2's. Inside the column were a few BM-21 launcher trucks, headed to the northern part of the country to assist in wiping out rebels. A pair of Mi-24P gunships flew overhead, watching the mountainside.

The battle for the mountains would be a long one. Adjikstan's remaining army had retreated into the mountains supported by hundreds of thousands of insurgents. Worst yet, it made it so the USSCP forces wouldn't have armor to back them. Ground forces would have artillery at their disposal, along with helicopter support however nothing to protect them from small arms fire. Many soldiers ditched their body armor because of its heavy weight, exchanging the difference for extra ammunition. The Adjikstani forces have dug into the mountain well enough as to make heavy air strikes useless, in addition to making several tanks into pill boxes.

"Guys! Enemies at 12'oclock!"

"Get PKP fire over there! they're trying to flank us!"

"They got Nikolai! hold back, I'm gonna fire an RPG!"

"Lieutenant, more of the bastards higher up on the ridge!"

"Radio, call artillery, everyone pull back, they'll get it from the air"

The infantry squad pulled back into a crevice, and not too far away several BM-21 launchers began to fire upon the mountainside. The rockets have penetrated a man made cave, catching an ammunition dump and a field hospital. When the shelling was over, the squad went back up to where the insurgents were and finished off the wounded and ones who wanted to surrender.

Lavakhan and Hawkeye flanked into the mountains while the other flanked thier left. The ground was smooth and the distant artillery sounds echoed in the background. Hawkeye lay low in an excellent position as a rebel partol was sighted.

"Hawkeye, shoot the rearguard to the front and try and cover them with the artillery explosions," whispered Lavakhan as he signaled the other two to lay low for awhile.

Hawkeye poked his sniper rifle's barrel through the bushes as he peered through the scope. He quietly waited as the first explosion ecohed before another explosion. He prepare to pull the trigger and fired his first shot as another artillery round exploded. Lavakhan peered through as he watched one by one the partol was falling until the front three suddenly stopped and turned around.

'Crap,' Hawkeye thought to himself as he changed position and fired another perfect round.

Lavakhan suddenly popped up and blasted a handful rounds into the remaining before the pair went to the peek of the mountain.

"Alright, we should be close," detailed Lavakhan as he studied the map.

Lavakhan, Hawkeye, Harris and Ion steathly passed through the mountains sliting any guards they come across. They patiently sat down on one of the peeks as Hawkeye peered through his scope and notice a convory of men with donkey's carrying muntions and explosives.

"One anti-tank round can solve that problem," smiled Hawkeye as he removed the cartage, pulled out the bolt and placed an anti-tank piecing bullet into it before reloading.

"Make a clean short," whispered Lavakhan as he ordered the other two to take points.

Hawkeye peered through the scope and studied the group of people before finding his target. He squeezed the trigger gently as an explosion occured which deafened the shot however, it didn't deafen the chain reaction of explosions occuring.

"Piece of cake," smiled Hawkeye as they re-located steathly.

"Falcon this is mountain top, do you copy?"

"This is Falcon, what do you see?"

A Spetsnaz recon team has been watching a small town for the past five days. They can confirm that there are weapons caches here, and that many of the wounded rebels are taken here for medical treatment. Not skipping the opportunity for striking a heavy blow upon the rebels, they called in a pair of Hinds to take out the town. About an hour ago, a meeting was called in the town hall, which included many key rebel leaders.

"town at V01A04 is your target, engage at will."

"Copy, Falcon out."

The Hinds circled the town a few times before dropping their FAE munitions. Most of the town was in a panic after this, when the gunships began to fire rocket salvos at buildings and houses. The gunners were busy at work targeting anyone on the ground with the Yak-12.7mm vulcan cannon, with the AP-I rounds setting fire to structures and people alike. A few trucks attempted to get away, but got ambushed by the Spetsnaz down the road. When the Hinds were out of ammo, another pair came in and mined the town and the surrounding area.

The paper seemed to hold in it nothing but bad news for ‘ole Yuri, Russians marching in the streets of Yalta, a lack of success for his great building projects in Sevastopol and the interior, hell, even the growth that he promised during his election campaign was slowing, it just seemed that Crimeans weren’t buying up enough goods to keep the 8% growth up. If only there was a way to keep the growth up artificially, at least until after the Duma elections, that way, Hegemony would stay in power, and Yuri Shanin would have a job.

So Yuri flipped to the international section of his Yalta Observer, and there it was, the invasion of Adjikstan by a communist nation! Who could ask for anything more? Not only would this development help Yuri to cultivate a hardliner’s stance against Communism—a position always popular with the passionately capitalist Crimean masses—but would also—if it came to war—help to boost the economy by setting it on a war footing. Perhaps the Hegemons would prevail after all, Yuri thought as he began to call in his aids for a emergency meeting on the situation.

One Hour Later…

The meeting had assembled, the six seats filled, at the head, President Shanin, next to him stood the Minister of War Peter Rost, and Joseph Gamov, the head of the Diplomacy Department. Rounding out the table was Admiral Michael Witte of the navy, General Joseph Muhudin, commander of the army and air corps, and Boris Segriv, the President’s chief of staff and head speechwriter.

After an exchange of pleasantries, Shanin stood up and spoke, “Gentlemen, it has come to my attention that the communists from the USSCP has invaded a sovereign nation, without causus belli. It is the opinion of this administration that such an act cannot and will not go on without retaliation, and so I wish to issue a statement condemning the actions of this government and announcing Crimea’s intentions of protecting the sovereignty of nations in the face of hardship. I have brought you fellows here today to inform you of my intentions, and to be briefed on what are military options are at this time…”

Later on that night…

Word spread quickly that the President was to make a speech, on what, the news media did not know, all they were told was that it would be a very important address, possibly the most important of this Presidency so far. At 18:00, the television sets of the nation tuned in to see their gentle leader on the screen.
“Freemen and women of the Crimean Republic, you may have seen recent coverage of the atrocities in nearby Adjikstan by Communist armies from Chernobyl-Pripyat, and you may have looked the other way, ignoring these people and their wars like they were simply an act of youthful indiscretion. Well, that is not the Crimean way. The Crimean way is to fight against the infringement of liberty, it is to fight the invasion of free nations by those who wish to crush them. We should not, and will not ignore their actions as if they did not apply to us, because they apply to us and every other free nation on the planet.

Tonight I will give the USSCP one chance to stand down, one chance to take the high road and leave the people of Adjikstan without further molestation, before I will send the great force that is the Armies and Navies of Crimea against them. They have one week to remove their troops from within Adjikstan before retaliation, one week before war. I would like to thank you all for tuning in, good night, and god bless.”

"Kostya, did you get anything out of those prisoners?"

"No, they don't even speak Russian. Alfansi tried speaking to them in English, but nothing. All I know is that they are foreign fighters, equipped with foreign equipment, thus they don't speak any local languages."

"Lets put them where their buddies will find them, eh?"

The three soldiers drove the truck full of captives near the mountains. Corporal Kostya put an F1 hand grenade in the cabin of the truck, so that if the rebels were to occupy it, the safety would flip, and boom. Many of the captives were hooked up to dead-man-leavers, along with enough Semtex to take out a large building. When one of the captives would be moved, it would set off the explosives.

They left the truck in the shade; they weren't THAT evil. Since they were quite a way from their camp, the three hitched a ride with a farmer who was heading that way to the nearby town.

The soldiers were right; late that night some rebels came down from the mountain, tried to take the truck, the grenade went off killing several standing near it, and the resulting shrapnel made one of the booby trapped rebels slump over enough to fall off his switch. Many other checkpoints didn't know what the blast was, thinking it was a supply convoy being ambushed. a T-80UM1 followed by two BTR-80's went to check out the blast, finding what used to be a truck, and remains of about 20 rebels. The group reported back that the rebels had an accident with some explosives.

At the underground GHQ in Chelyabinsk, satellite images of a fleet on the eastern shore of Adjikstan were on the large screen. A high ranking Officer examined them, thinking of his options. He went to confront the General about this.

"Comrade General, there is a foreign naval fleet off the coast of Adjikstan. Orders?"

"Increase our military forces to 600,000 in Adjikstan, have the rest of the military on secondary alert. We will wait for a message from the fleet, and if they're hostile, conduct a preliminary strike via aircraft. If they're already on land, strike with tactical missiles to destroy as much of their expeditionary force as possible. Their only way into our country is through Adjikstan, so it will act as a buffer zone."

shortly after, transport aircraft began to drop forces in Adjikstan, setting up defensive positions. The military then waited for a message from the fleet. Helicopters and fighter craft began mining operations along the defense line, which was decided to be a ridge that extended across the country. The munitions were a mix of AP and AT mines. By the end of the day, they would have over 9000 MBT's and Aircraft in Adjikstan.

By invading, and replacing the unstable-ineffective government which is still currently in power, we will increase international security. We also believe there is no reason for this to turn into a conflict with your nation, which would surely be bad for both of our nations. Should your forces become hostile, however, we will retaliate accordingly.

The Company moved down a cave nearby as they gunned down each rebel they came across. It was like a massive maze full of tunnels but it was all largely compacted in which meant explosives were going to do the most damage so they left a tracking device behind in the cavens. The company retreated to the outside world as they hurried themselves to nearby peek where they could watch the fireworks display.

"Black Knights to Shiny Knightm requesting bomber support at these corridents," radio Hawkeye into the intercom.

"Copy that but it'll be guided to the tracking device," came a voice.

"Black Knights to allied forces, you better get some space between you and the mountain," suggested Hawkeye into the intercom.

The squad of troops began to retreat, defending themselves from rebel forces. The PKM gunner kept a group of rebels pinned behind some rocks, while the rest of the squad kept moving. When he was reloading, the marksman began to pick off any rebel who poked his head up from behind the rocks.

To the government of the USSCP,
It seems then that we have some to an impasse. If neither is willing to make a move then I suggest that my troops be allowed to occupy the unconquered sectors of Adjikstan and that those in the conquered zones be allowed to relocate to the "free-sectors." This will allow for family and friends to reunite and give both of our nations a good name in the eyes of the locals. Thus, they will not foster terrorist tendencies.
As for our involvement in this conflict. We were founded on christian values and morals. Our democracy is therefore pure and flawless. We spit upon atheist communist dogs. Back in our old homeland we were allied with the Muslim brothers against the Puritans in the struggle for our freedom. We therefore demonstrate our many-fold reasons for joining in this conflict.

The infantry squad ha jus barely made it from the blast. When the missile had hit, it caused tons of smoke to spew from the rebels secret tunnels, probably having hit an ammunition dump.

The squad retraced their steps back to the tunnels, taking magazines and ammunition belts off of dead rebels. Their task was now to clear the tunnels, once backup arrived.

"It's a positive sir, its a rebel leader one of the six we were after and the other is another rebel from the six we were sent to kill," reported Hawkeye to Lavakhan.

The Company took the two bodies and carried them outside where they found the USSCP Forces about to venture inside.

"We haven't got an indentifcation just yet but they are two of the six rebel leaders we were sent to find," stated Lavakhan as the rebel bodies were placed on the ground.

The Crimean People were a predominately Tartar ruled society, but in fact many men of slavic descent had found themselves in the Crimean ancestry. Wanderjarians as well could trace themselves back to Prussia as well as Russia, and as such any slavic race were distant ethnic kin to them. To deny them support would be to deny the ethnic ties which they were bound to protect and honour.

Chancellor Tobias Kircher, Führer of the Wanderjarian people, saw not only this duty to the Crimean Republic, but also opportunity. He thumbed through the intelligence dossier compiled for him by his Schutzstaffel (SS) agents. The reports were scattered and difficult to comprehend as the situation itself was rather clouded by uncertainty, but to the best of their knowledge the Lynion Government had begun a series of invasions of neighboring nations. He smiled and beckoned for his secretary to allow him to dictate a personal memorandum for her to pass on to the Foreign Minister to forward to the leadership of the Crimean Republic.

"Frau Inga," he began, "Tell them, and quote: "Our comrades in the Crimean Republic. We would be honoured to assist you in this noble endeavour which you have been so inclined to request our assistance from. After assisting in the creation of your military, and the establishment of you as a nation, we feel it only fitting that we support you in any way which you find yourself needing. Make your incursion and secure an airstrip by which we may enter the region, and we shall send an Armee Korps to assist in this conflict.""

With that, Secretary Inga concluded the message, tore it from the type writer, and retreated to another room where it would be forwarded to the proper authorities. Prussian intervention would soon begin.

Seven day’s had passed since the address by President Shanin, and so the time had come for action. The Privyatites had been warned of their impending fate, but had chosen to ignore the warnings, so now the time had come for the payment of their transgressions. It was just the way of the world, or at least the Crimean way.

The massive armada assembled in the grand port of Sevastopol, ready for the operation to begin. Not since the Rimneyv years had a fleet of this magnitude been sent out to sea, sent outside of the Crimean maritime borders, and not in recent memory had Crimea involved itself in a ground war on distant shores. Today would surely mark a new era in Crimean military history, the era of internationalism---and glory.

The fleet disembarked from their port flying the blue and white of Crimea, with streamers pluming from their nine inch guns and twelve inch hulls. Celebrations of the immenant fight were widespread throughout the nation, as Crimeans, Tartar, Turkish, Russain and Ukrainian alike all celebrated the beginning of a renewed prestige for Crimea, a renewed swagger that had been all but lost since the early days, but had been rediscovered by the great President Shanin and his Hegemony Party.

The Fleet consists of the following:

2 Carriers
12 Battleships
12 Battlecruisers
5 Air Defense Cruisers
10 Destroyers
10 Submarines
25 Armed Troop Carriers
50 Supply Barges (donated by Crimean merchants)

Admiral Witte heard the transmission and a pang of self-doubt bubbled up in his stomach. It must have been last night's chili he thought as he mulled over how to respond to the transmission.

He looked at his subordinates, "Boys, lets get all men to battle stations and prepare for a fight, just to be on the safe side of things." His men stood in front of him for a moment, before snapping into action.

Pavel heard the alarms, and the call for all hands to report to their battle stations and prepare for possible hostilities, and peeked at the fellow in the bunk below him, "Shit mate, looks like all that training might actually be worth something afterall! Let's go!" He hopped down onto the floor and ran up to his station, a shell battery, in just his boxer shorts and a tee. He did not have time to put any clothes on, but that did not prevent one of his superiors from giving him a scowl as he walked by. What fun this would be, to be in a real live shootout, Pavel decided.

IC: Rain poured down on the seas, and wind began to kick up whitecaps. Many men had hunkered down for the night, and many of the men had already gone inside, some of them to sleep, others to eat and play cards.

But on the deck of the R.N.S Scion, men moved about in furious fashion, making their final preparations before the departure of a fleet of fifteen F-22 Raptors, inbound for attacks upon the nearby USSCP fleet.

The F-22's would be the first wave if the attack, followed by a variety of other aircraft, mostly MiG's, and Su-47's, but the key to strike would be surprise, and what can better achieve such an effect than a grouping of stealthy fighters, the deadliest weapon in the the Crimean arsenal.

Aboard the bridge of the KMS Amerika, a Foxbury Class Assault Carrier, Admiral Klaus Richtof of the 3rd Kriegsmarine Flotilla paced anxiously. He was not nervous; he'd fought many operations infinitely more difficult than this one would be against foes which consisted of millions. No, he was not in the least bit nervous about this operation. He was merely excited.

The Command Crew was abuzz, scurrying about their posts and exchanging information critical to the continued operation of the vessel and battle group. Oberleutnant zer See Kristophe Blanch, Flotilla Operations Officer, stood before a Tactical Operations map showing a virtual layout map of the region they were inserting themselves into. He studied it carefully, eyes squinted and brow furrowed. Richtof approached him.

“What do you make of the situation, Oberleutnant?” he asked.

“It shall not be a problem. The enemy is heavily entrenched and bringing up reinforcements, but after a prolonged shelling and series of missile strikes against their positions they’ll certainly break. And if they don’t they can continue to be bombed, and shelled, and missile’d until our troops land and take the position from them. It isn’t especially complicated.” The Admiral smiled.

“Very good lad,” patting the Lieutenant on the shoulder. The Admiral returned to the helm and waited. The order was soon given. Numerous Blackburn Battle Fighters would launch momentarily, scanning for any enemy air units and downing them to defend the Blackburn Blackadder Maritime Strike Bombers, which would drop ordinance on the entrenched enemies. The fighter craft were also loaded with some Air-to-Surface weaponry to engage enemy radar units and anything which was deemed to potentially harm the bombers. Battlecruisers and Battleships opened fire with their main guns, precision striking the enemy trenches with heavy naval gunfire. They would commence the bombing and shelling of enemy positions for at least two days before landing troops to seize control of the beach head, and missiles would be launched by the Type 32 Guided Missile Cruisers. These warheads would be destined to engage enemy airfields, hampering their ability to launch cohesive air superiority operations, enemy logistical centers known by satellite location, and other such locales deemed appropriate.

Almost one hundred aircraft were launched from the [I]Gaff Spee[/I ]Unicorn Class Carrier, while the Amerika held its air composition in reserve. The enemy would be battered this day, all Prussian forces in the region knew it.

The enemy interceptors, ancient MiG 31 type aircraft, were of no match for the Wanderjarian Blackburns. From beyond visual range they targetted the enemy fighters and let loose their ordinance. The enemy would have little chance for survival even in the first wave, and those few who remain would certainly be killed in the second volley. The enemy air fleet would not survive the hour.

As the first of the fleets reached Pripyatian airspace after flying silently over Crossian controlled areas, the radar warning receivers began to alert them of radio emissions, emissions that could compromise their stealth.

Immediately, they moved to take out those dangerous enemies, for the good of the rest of the fleet, despite the risk to themselves.

One of the fighters located a radar station, and after gaining a lock on the target, fired a GBU-39 SDB at the target.

"So," He thought aloud, "They want to play that way. Have the Mogamis take care of those missiles and then lets really put the hurt on them. Switch ordinance on the next run, use White Phosporhous bombs." As they spoke the Mogamis activated their advanced anti-missile defense systems and targetted the enemy ordinance, blasting them easily out of the sky. Meanwhile, the Blackadder strike bombers dropped tons of heavy ordiance bombs onto the enemy trench lines, exploding brilliantly against the ridgeline. Upon their return home, they would refit with the WP bombs, which would unleash a cloud of white hot gas, literally melting the USSCP soldiers where they stood, and unleash this horror upon them. Since there was little for the surviving infantry to do, they began pulling back to a second line. as they were helpless against these air strikes, it was their only choice. The last surviving S400 unit fired it's missiles at an F22, hitting due to the direction it was flying. Seconds later, the launcher was hit by a missile and exploded.

As a column formation of Su-27's began to zoom in behind Xavier's wing-man Vlad, the front man utilized his flight vectoring feature to send his nimble craft into a loop that would tear any lesser aircraft apart, landing right behind the two enemies. But his maneuver was still not quick enough, for as soon as he reached clicked the trigger to his machine gun he saw Vlad's craft spiraling downward, to the ground to death.

The Admiral smiled. Reports from their bomber wings indicated that the enemy forces were pulling back to secondary trenchlines, and thus were soon to be the near breaking point. Though the shelling and bombings had only been occuring for nearly an hour. He beckoned for his Chief Weapons Officer to alter the firing solutions to compensate for the USSCP pull back. He acknowledged with a haughty "Aye!" and saluted by raising his arm, which was retured by the Admiral.

As the dozens of ships continued firing their shells at the enemy trenches, fighter craft continued hunting their techologically inferior foes MiGs. The MiG-31, while a great aircraft, was no match for the pride of the Prussian Kriegsmarine, the Blackburn F1. It was faster, more manuverable, and had more modern flight control, weapons guidance, and sensor systems in every respect. They also suffered from being inexperianced when compared against the Prussian Luft-Marine pilots. Having fought in innumerable conflicts prior, these Wanderjarians were battle hardened to beyond any USSCP man could boast. The MiG pilots, for all their courage, stood not a chance against their Prussian adversaries.

The Gruppes, consisting of forty eight aircraft each, divided up into their twelve man Schwarm teams and began positioning themselves to engage the USSCP aircraft. Having cleared many from Beyond Visual Range using BVR ATA Missiles, the remaining pilots would be defeated using dog fighting manuverse. While this was unusual, considering that many engagements that Wanderjarian pilots found themselves in ended from beyond visual range with the utter annihilation of their foes, they felt confident that they could defeat their adversaries in a dog fight.

"This Gruppe Bolt-6," the Group Leader said, positioning his F-1 to engage a MiG, "Schwarm-1 is to engage the enemy from the left. Swing in and hit them from their flank and Schwarm-2 will hit from the right. Lets use a pincer movement to tighten these fellows in. Schwarm-3, led by myself, will hit them head on. Lets execute comrades!" And with that each of the Twelve man Schwarm teams mobilised to execute their orders. Schwarm-4, consisting of Maritime Strike Bombers, waited behind for the enemy fighter craft to be cleared. Having been loaded up with the White Phosporous ordinance, they were ready to deploy their respective bomb loads onto the enemy trenchlines. The great clouds of white hot death would consume anything and all whom were caught within its extent, and would continue to smolder as the sticky gelatonous residue that was formed attached itself to firing steps, bunkers, and corpses. The heat produced would exceed five thousand degrees, and quite literally melt anything it touched, and cause fires to spread throughout the lines. It was not only effective, but horrifying and demoralising for the enemy it was deployed against. This is precisely why it was a favourite of the Wanderjarian military.

Meanwhile, in the Tactical Operations Center of the KMS Amerika, Generalmajor Hans Ludendorf of the Wanderjarian Marine Sturm Division was planning the invasion. His Division, some thirty thousand men strong, consisted of five Regiments, each containing six thousand men. Two infantry Regiments, an Artillery Battery, two Panzer Regiments (100x Panzerkampfwagon XIs, 120x LY219 "Ironheart" (IFV/Command/etc) each), and a Support Regiment. These would make landfall under the cover of their fighter wings, providing close air support. The Panzer Regiments would advance first, followed by the infantry utilising their LY219 "Ironheart" IFVs and APCs to protect the exposed infantry. From there, they would engage the surviving enemy, if any, and advance into the surrounding countryside to secure any coastal towns or villages for use as a beach head command center for the respective Regimental HQs. From there, the Heer (Army) troops would be deployed, of which there was one Korps, and these would extend themselves to secure the rest of the region from the USSCP forces control. That was, loosely, the battle plan at this point. However until the landing was made and the enemy's willingness to fight made certain, nothing could be ascertained save speculation. The Wanderjarian Commanders were not stupid. They had each served in many wars and commanded men in numerous theaters of operation, and as such were far too experianced to believe that they could simply achieve victory by walking onto the stage and flashing their impressive Honour Roll. This mindset was exemplified by the rememberance of the tragic defeat at Beiraq, hammering that point to many of the Marines who would be landing within the next few hours.

The compiled dossier was given to all junior officers and NCOs, who gave individual talks to their respective units as was customary before going into battle. Soon enough the pride of the Wehrmacht, das Heeres, would be landing and show once again Prussian superiority in land warfare.

"We've been forced to fall back to the second line. They are more then likely to land on the shore, and will be forced to engage NTC forces. When they reach the DMZ, we can use tactical missiles to decimate their troop concentrations after they pass the mine fields. Our Raven missile was shot down before it could do any damage, so the next one will have decoy/jammer munitions, although it will cut the explosives down to 12. Through this, we should be able to hit their ships. Our armor devisions for the time being are camouflaged to prevent a counter attack with missiles."

The second defense point was closer the the Adjikstani capital, so it was within range of their main radar eliminating the need for radar trucks. This would allow the S400 to engage at full tracking capacity.

As more and more hostile fighters flew into the theatre of operations, the F-22's were forced to abandon their operations against USSCP radar and communication stations, just to help cover the Su-34's with their napalm payloads.

The three squadrons flew to within range of the dogfight, firing volley after volley of AIM-120 air-to-air missiles into the fray, in hopes of suppressing the Pripyatians long enough for the Su-34's to release their napalm payloads.

Meanwhile in the dogfight, Su-47's assembled into two man "killer" columns, zipping and zooming erratically in order to draw the attention of the fighters from the -34's as they rapidly approached the USSCP positions and dropped their payloads.

A two man tandem of Su-47's saw the plight of their Wanderjarian allies, as the majority of the USSCP fighters seemed to be focusing on them while the Su-34's left for their carriers after they dropped their napalm payload. The frontman set his sights on a lone MiG, and gained a lock for his AIM-120 missiles, firing as soon as he could click the trigger.

"Gentlement," Admiral Richtof stated affirmatively, never taking his harsh gaze from the view presented by his Command Bridge of the air battle being waged about them. Mogami Air Defense Cruisers, interspersing fire between the various Raven Missiles which were being haphazardly thrown at them and the enemy aircraft buzzing about. So far the Wanderjarians had reported five pilots downed, all fighters, as of yet no bomber casualties. This was unacceptable in his mind and he was certain that Kapitan zer See Studstill, Kommandant der Luftmarine of the battle-group, would be very harsh in his review of each pilot for his sloppiness. The long pause in between him opening his mouth and finishing his statement was filled with more than just a sigh. He contemplatively concluded, "By chance do we have the source of those pesky missiles?" The Radar Operator nodded confirmingly.

"Jawohl herr Admiral," He showed the Admiral the position on the tactical map from where it was coming. Each time a missile was fired, its position was being tracked by Wanderjarian sattelites, relaying this information back to the Amerika, and allowing them exact confirmation of the locale of the silo. It would soon be obliterated.

"Excellent Leutnant," The Admiral smiled. "Tactical Officer, have them taken care of." With a "Jawohl", the man hurried off to do just that. Within moments, numerous Guided Missile Destroyers and Submarines launched salvo after salvo of ship-borne cruisemissiles homing in on exactly those positions. The silos, once eliminated, would be the last credible threat to the Wanderjarian and Crimean mission and would enable the Coalition troops to land safely and securely upon the beaches of Adjikistan. The NTC Forces would certainly pitch a fit, and the Government would raise a serious cry, but the Wanderjarian troops had no interest in that region save kicking the USSCP troops out, and then on to the real prize: the USSCP itself.

Meanwhile, in the transport ships all soldiers were making final preparations before going ashore. Though many were veterans of conflicts, some were still recently conscripted and fresh from infantry basic. These men clung to veteran corporals and privates like babes at a mothers breast, and sought their advice and promise of safe return. However, even the most experiance soldiers in the landing force felt the same twinge of fear they felt before every war. Fear: It never went away. And so they prepped for combat. Cleaning rifles, writing letters then re-writing them. Reading the bible, Qu'ran, Torah. Some prayed to some ominpotent being which they in normal times scoffed the very existence of. Others sat alone, simply thinking. Every man had his own way of preparing himself for what was to come, and each ritual was held sacred by their comrades in arms. It was something everyone underwent and performed.

Soon enough, they'd be going to war.

What'll we'll do is head for the coast and call for a Lynion warship to pick us up and get home,"

"So that'll mean we'll have to go here," stated Hawkeye as he pointed to a harbour on the map. "We haven't heard any activity there so we might be lucky and call for the navy,"

The others argeed with him as Lavakhan lock and loaded his assault rifle.

"Alright, it seems we'll be going bush until we get to the harbour. Radio USSCP and tell them we're evacuating mainly because we're deep behind enemy lines and we can't be saved," ordered Lavakhan to Harris.

Harris opened the frequencies and tried his best to find a signal to contact the USSCP Forces. He tried all frequencies only to get nothing from them.

The Raven wasn't a naval type missile to begin with. When loaded with it's original munitions, it was capable of leveling cities, or obliterating tank legions.

The military was waiting for the enemy forces to land on the shore and reach the DMZ. Once the ground war began several Air Force Guards squadrons would be deployed the engage enemy aircraft. The enemy would not breach the USSCP border.

The napalm attack the Crimean forces had done had caused minimal casualties; most of the trenches were evacuated prior to that, and the only ones who remained were ZU-23-2 operators, and support soldiers.

"So whose on the other end of the radio?" asked the captain as the radio was taken off Harris' back.

"USSCP Commander by the sounds of it," replied Lavakhan as he was handcuffed.

The Company was taken into the holding cells below the engines as the captain took the radio controls.

"Hello," he started. "This is Captain Mitchell of the Imperial Aerial Cruiser Atlantis, if you're looking for the Black Hand Company, then you're too late. As of two seconds ago, they've being charged as rouge Lynion's and will be sent home to stand a Court Martial. To who are you?"

In the mountains of central Adjikstan a Kolgujev Mercenary company was hired by the USSCP, and armed by the USSK government to do some wet work. They were mostly armed with AKM's, and were dressed for the most part in civilian clothing. Their operations consisted of kidnapping known rebels, and killing them. They had now engaged in full combat with militants from a small town inside the NTC part of the DMZ. The group had tracked them for days through the mountains, leading here. The battle lasted several hours, and resulted in a victory by the Mercs, who had suffered many casualties. Much of the town was burning as a result of the fighting, and a cloud of black smoke could be seen for miles.

"Right boys, you heard the man this is TW, rack em' and stack, I want bodies in the dirt by the end of the evening. No prisoners, no questions, no hesitations. If it moves shoot it. The eleven man squad filed into the 4 M256-08 Rangers (http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc172/iancostello/M256-08Ranger.gif). The three front vehicles were equipped with .50 caliber machine guns. They traveled in a delta formation with the fourth command vehicle in the core. Their hybrid engines made them nearly silent. They approached the village along the road to the southeast. When they were two klicks out they pulled off the road and split into their four groups. The two man teams carried one LMW-3SR.png (http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc172/iancostello/LMW-3SR.png), one LMW-3AC (http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc172/iancostello/LMW-3AC.png), and two LMW-SA1s (http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc172/iancostello/LMW-SA1opentoggle-2.png). They were most effective in the woodlands, but they also proved deadly in the small villages of the Adjikstani desert. They were astute at discerning an ambush and could detect an approach at 150 yards.

OOC: I have been told by Wanderjar to request a pause of major hostilies until he has time to get back into the game, or at the very least a promise to not attack his ships or soldiers in any shape or form until he returns.

IC: The F-22 and Su-47 pilots groaned as they heard of they're assignments.

"Not again, haven't we already destroyed enough of their fucking supply lines, when can we attack some cities, lets make those Red bastards burn!" moaned Pavel Petrovic as he heard of yet another raid upon the USSCP rear positions.

"Petrovic, shape up soldier, these missions now are what is going to keep our men alive when we put them on the ground. Now unless you have any real complaints, you all need to get into your planes and head out to kick some ass."

With that the pilots departed to get into their stealthy machines, ready for a battle that would take them into the skies on the border of Adjikstan and the USSCP, to knock out supply lines and help initiate the starvation of the USSCP army.

The formation of 25 F-22s, and 30 Su-47's flew overhead, streaking tirelessly towards their targets from high altitudes, in order to resist radar detection even better than they could with their stealthy designs alone.

"Fires are out, Petran, Sashka and some locals are repairing the power station. The rebels hit it pretty hard, they must like living in the dark ages."

"Hah. That typical of extremists. Local police operational?"

"We got them out of the jail cells. they're restoring order to the town. Apparently the rebels had a torture chamber in the basement of the Police Station."

"Couldn't it possible be USSCP forces?"

"No, they haven't touched this area, save for mining that mountain pass."

The mercs continued to assist the town folks in repairing utilities, like the water pump, power station. Giving the local police the arms of their fallen comrades, along with the guns from the dead rebels, the Police would patrol the parameter of the town. They were instructed by the Village Leader to shoot anyone that was armed, or that looked suspicious. The mercs would back them up when needed.

"Foxtrot Sixer, this is Foxtrot One. We have one company of organized armed combatants and roaming groups of armed locals."
"Copy One, this is Foxtrot Sixer to all Foxtrots, Teams One, Three, and Five use silence and move into the outskirts, tag em' and bag em'.Teams Two and Four provide sniper coverage." Three teams moved in to start securing outlying buildings. The other two teams and the squad leader remained in the dunes to provide sniper fire where needed. The snipers watched the teams systematically kill the police patrols and then drag the bodies into secured buildings. What little blood there was, was covered over with sand. Soon the teams had secured four buildings on the south side of the village, and killed three patrols worth of police men. A group of officers climbed up onto the roof of a nearby building. "Foxtrot Three, you have four armed locals at your 10, rooftop, second building down." But it was to late. One of the officers saw as the desert seemingly came alive and began dragging one of his dead comrades towards a building across the street. "Hey! Get em'." he yelled as his fellow officers came over to investigate what he had seen. Soon they were shooting willy-nilly in the direction of the first sighting. Three of them dropped to the floor they had been sniped. The sounds from their sucking chest wounds was enough for the fourth to dive for cover. One of the soldiers from Foxtrot three threw a white phosphorus grenade onto the roof and soon the fourth officer was writhing in agony as his flesh melted off the bone. Where the grenade had exploded had melted through the floor and the phosphorus was dripping down into the building below. A pillar of smoke began to rise and soon flames were leaping up from hole in the roof.

"Some ones attacking the village, orders?"

"Take defensive positions, rally the remaining police and have them flank them. Sashka and Mija, get on the roof and cover the street."

The pair went up the hospital stairs, and took a good shooting position just under the roof. The Police were helpless against their enemies; they couldn't coordinate their worth, and were bad marksman.

"Sashka, muzzle flash on that dune over there, wait for a sec."

Another cop gets cut down.

"I got him."

He fired his SVU at the target, and then repositioned himself on a different floor.

The commander saw one of the targets in the town and fired a burst from his P90 at it, then taking cover. The local firefighters were attempting to put out the burning building with little success.

OOC: Did some research on the SVU and all I got for effective range was a referral to the SVD. Taking the accuracy at "up to 800m" I would have to say that you missed. My guys are storming the south side of the village, where your men don't seem to be. When my snipers took their shots lets say they were 800m out. Then add to that the distance between where the police where gunned down and the hospital. I will grant your sharp shooter a near miss. If you want to discuss this further TG me.

IC: The bullet zipped into the sand in front of Foxtrot Two. "Foxtrot Two re-locating to Hotel 3. Did anyone see the shooter?" They slide down the backside of the dune and moved to their next location. "Negative Two. Foxtrots One, Three and Five you have armed locals moving left to flank you. Foxtrot Two and Four I want you to find that sniper. Do not fire until you see one, repeat hold your fire until you have identified a sniper. Start with that hospital it is the tallest building in town."
"Roger." The three teams moved into an echelon left and maneuvered behind an low stone wall and one team into a building on the opposite side of the street. A loose column of police officers moved cautiously down the street. When they reached the ambush they were ruthlessly gunned down. One of the rovers was injured badly in the firefight. "Foxtrot Sixer this is Five, O'Hanlen is hit we need evac now!"
"Negative Five, I have radioed for backup. Get your masks and goggles ready, they are sending in a group of Xray Zulu drones, and an armored troop."
"Six, we need out now."
"Five get a hold of yourself! When the armor gets here they can take him out."

Everyone held their positions, Foxtrots Two and Four searched in vain for the sniper. Foxtrots One, Three, and Five prepared for another ambush. All of them had put on their gas masks and goggles.

Three minutes later four massive UAVs zipped over the horizon and headed towards the village. As they passed over a fine mist began to precipitate over the village. ZX gas rained began to play its fiddle of death.

The pair in the hospital got their masks on, and radioed anyone that wasnt affected yet. The commander, two rifleman, a machine gunner and the RPG man were able to get their masks on in time. The rest of the town perished, save for people in the hospital due to its over-pressure system. They regrouped inside the hospital, and were formulating a plan.

"We sealed off the side doors when we got here. We have the sewer as our fall back plan. They are forced to come through the front door. The back has claymore mines on the stairway, and the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floor doors are rigged with Semtex. They as much as nudge the doors, it will go off and probably cave the stairwell. I suspect they might show up with armor, so Zeitsev, Brzezinski and Vorobel will be on the 7th floor concealed until we confirm it. We have enough RPG's to hold out, and more then enough 5.56 rounds. 7.62x54R are running short, and we have about 400 rounds belted, and another 60 for Sashka's rifle. As for the AKM's, everyone take one. Eeveryone get into place, and I want radio silence until the battle starts."

The fleet of F-22's formed into two man "kill" columns and released chaff in order to shake off the missile locks of the enemy combatants before heading right towards they're target, the gateway to the USSCP, Kandahar. They lined up to drop their firebomb loads on the city, ready to reenact the terrors of Dresden, ready to show the Pripyatians the might of Crimea.

Out in the Sea

The crews made the final preparations for the launch of the AC-130. It was a valuable tool in this second stage of the invasion, the stage of insertion.

Inside the AC-130 sat the main attack force of Stage Two, Operation Cyanide Pill, the effort to destroy the USSCP forces. It consisted of fifty men, members of the 202nd Special, the elite covert fighting force of the Crimean Army. They were each equiped with AKM's, SMG's, RPG's and kevlar vests. They were scout snipers, and recon specialists, but on this mission they would be teaching, teaching the Adjikistanis to fight their enemies, and throw off the yoke of USSCP opression once and for all.

The AC-130 took off, with their soldiers and their quad bikes towards the mountains of Adjikistan, where they hoped to slip in between the cracks in the USSCP radar made by the previous attacks on them by the Crimean air force.

Around 05:00 yesterday, approximately 500 well armed rebels from the mountains staged an attack on a guard post near the road. This outpost had the 9th Company of the 76th Guards Air Assault Forces, and was assigned to watch the supply convoys. The 9th Company was made up of 30 soldiers, and the hill known by the Army as "3414" was on a ridge, with one side being a steep drop to the road. The battle took place for the next fifteen hours, with the rebels attacking in several waves. Our highly trained forces were able to decimate the rebels by the time gunship support arrived. The official government casualty count is 23, and the confirmed number of rebel casualties is 348, however the survivors of the battle reported that the rebels recovered a lot of their dead and wounded. The surviving soldiers will receive the Medal for Valor, the Order for Service to the Homeland in the Armed Forces 1st class, and the entire 9th company will receive the Hero of the Soviet Union title.

They Manticores deployed and began to pound the outer village with their thermobaric (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermobaric_weapon) munitions. Whole blocks where wiped out with each explosion. When the rockets were exhausted all that remained of the village was the hospital and a few other buildings in that square. The explosions had evaporated some of the heavier concentrations of the VX, but the residue was still in lethal quantities over most of the city. As the Manticores fell back to their fire base the Earth IIIs and the Werewolves moved in to begin shooting down the hosptial. They stopped about 300m away from the hospital to discuss how to destroy the structural supports to take the building down.

"Shit... There's no way we can fight them off like this, I was expecting troops to come in. We're gonna have to escape through the sewers. Bring the rest of the Semtex, we're gonna seal the entrance to the sewers."

Their preparations took less then 15 minutes. Everyone in the hospital was ready to go into the sewers via the B3 access room, and the explosives were rigged into the stairwell as to make following them impossible.

The PMC Commander was explaining to everyone what the escape plan was.

"These tunnels were built during the Cold War, they lead to a massive bomb shelter in the mountains. If we follow the tunnel, we'll end up on the friendly part of the DMZ. Zietsev, set the explosives to go off in 15 minutes. everyone get in that boat there, that will get us there fastest. Unless you want to travel in waist deep water, that is."

The boat started with a little trouble, but was workable. They sped down the narrow tunnel, and behind them they heard the deafening boom from the explosives caving in the entrance. Some time later, they reached the point where they met the mountain. It was something that resembled a dock, and a large steel door. They followed the stairs behind it, which lead to a small village on the USSCP side of the mountain.

The tank commanders had decided to blow the first floor and second floor out of the building and hope that the structure imploded. It was obvious that non of them had any experience in deconstruction. They postioned their tanks around the building, behind enough rubble to protect for any friendly fire. After a fifteen minute shitfest the building began to topple on its northeast corner. The tank in that area switched quickly out of idle and into reverse. Despite the fact that the majority of the building missed the tank, a large chunk of twisted concrete and rebar caught the rear of the tank smashing the engine block. As the NTC forces pulled out of the wasteland that was once a village, word spread across Adjistan and the DMZ of the ferocity of the NTC soldiers, and who they had proven their new military doctrine worked.

"CP MiG's are closing in on our positions, it is time to turn on the burners.

With that, the F-22's and Su-47's began to gain in speed ever rapidly, moving faster and faster, quicker and quicker, at velocities that the MiG's simply could not reach. They broke from their tight bombing formations so they did not collide into each other, and flew erratically in order to lose any locks that the MiG pilots could have made.

All of a sudden, the plays turned into the fray, coming up rapidly onto the MiG fighters while firing volley after volley of AIM-120's.

All major cities, and most towns had loudspeakers for which the government would broadcast information if they felt it was important enough. Earlier during the day, they had announced that NBC equipment was going to be distributed the following day. It had also said that things such as fuel would be rationed to civilians, and there would be mandatory blackouts to go with a curfew that began at sundown.

2 squads of scouts from the Order of Cúchulainn descended upon the Sadr Ridge in the cover of darkness with their para sails. They had deployed from a plane running a routine DMZ patrol as to not raise any suspicion. Satellite imaging had provided them with a deserted location they was high up in the ridge line. They set up a camp in a small cave and established communications with the ANFC high command. "This is Tirkit convoy zero zero niner we have arrived in Nova Paris, Over."
"Tirkit convoy zero zero niner we copy. You have go ahead to begin unloading."

Gibberish America, I am about to "heat" things up, notice the para-drop into the Sadr Ridge.

IC: The OC (Order of Cúchulainn) squads started the morning with the usual prayers and preparations. The ash of the fire was buried and they moved along the ridges. Every once and a while USSCP helicopters would fly over either on patrol or bringing equipment and personnel to the DMZ. The constant vigilance made the going slow but stealth was essential. They moved to within a kilometer from the rear elements of the USSCP DMZ forces. Still in the ridges they planted four separate small batches (the size of quarter, placed under the rocks to lift them out of the ground and to muffle the explosion to make appear as of nothing "unnatural" had occurred) of Semtex H under large boulders. Then the Squads moved in opposite directions when each was half a kilometer away from the rocks the Semtex exploded and the boulders began to fall towards the small rear supply camp. As they tumbled they dislodged other rocks and began a minor avalanche. The squads then moved to their next point of impact. 15 kilometers in the opposite directions from the avalanche site they began their next phase.

Group North (Squad Alpha):
As they neared the pass they could hear the convoy. They had a helicopter escort and the grinding of tanks could be made out. They pulled their local patterned keffiyahs over their heads. One of them moved out of cover and moved down towards the edge of the cliff over looking the pass where the convoy was traveling. He was clearly unarmed, dressed like a local.

Group South (Squad Bravo):
They maneuvered into position. The village was small and strategically unimportant but the filling station would be useful to the advancing ANFC. The village had nine buildings, seven residences that doubled as store fronts, a police station and the filling station. The squad split. Every man took a building, the police station got two men. They waited until midday when it was hottest and everyone was inside eating lunch. Then simultaneously they stormed the village. The residences went without a hitch as there were no guns in the houses. The filling station turned into a pitched battle. The cashier saw the man running towards the store and produced a shotgun. He assumed they were looters coming from the DMZ. He stuck the shotgun out of the service window and fired. The squadie charged with the station was wounded, but not badly. He dove behind a car parked out in front of the store. The cashier called the police. A man he did not recognize with a strange Adjikstani accent answered the phone. The cashier heard yelling in the background. He slammed the phone down. The squadie yelled in awkward Adjikstani, "Go home, I no want to hurt you." The cashier fired another shell, this time into the car. The squad radio crackled as the squadie called for backup. The residents had all been moved into the largest of the residences. Two stood guard while another ran through all the houses collecting food and clothing for the residents. Four came to his call. Two stood back at the closest building providing a clear shot if the man needed to be killed. The other two scaled the roof. The two on the roof planted a circle of Semtex A and when the hole was blown in the roof right over the cashiers head, the cashier dropped to the ground the two on the roof jumped in the one came out from behind the car and they rushed the cashier before he could come back to his senses. They bound him and brought him to the house with the rest of the residents.

"HQ, go ahead 1923"

"We had a small avalanche, no injuries, but it wrecked a small tool shed and a few trucks, over."

"Copy 1923, repair any damage possible, and stay alert, out."

Armor convoy

The armor convoy was doing routine escorts for a civilian owned water truck group. It wasn't real work, but the water company is frequently attacked by rebels, and they have been writing the command base for help.

The convoy was lead by two T-64MV, with four BMP-2 behind them. After those, the civilian trucks, which had three BTR-70 and an Adjikstani T-55.

"Hey, look over there."

"Where..never mind, I see him."

"Looks suspicious, fire at his feet. Fucking looters.."

One of the soldiers on top of the BMP fired a burst at the mans feet, to attempt to scare him away.

The squadie jumped back. "Fuck, these guys are tense." he yelled back to the rest of them. Yelling in bad Adjikstani he backed away from the cliff. He reported the number of armored and unarmored units to this mates. The squad leader laughed. "Thats what they are driving in this day and age, HA! Ok here are the weaknesses. BMP-2s are lightly armored and the soldiers are all sitting in the center, so if it runs over a mine they all die. Hell and RPG-7 can blow the hell out of that thing. The T-64s problem is the depression angle of the main gun is -6 degrees so if we get close enough it can't shoot us. They will need to store alot of their equipment outside because the inside is too cramped, making it hard to reload if the auto loader breaks, we are talking only 1 round per minute. They also breakdown a lot. If the troops try to exit the BTR-70 while it is in motion they will probably get something run over as the door is in between the wheels. The T-55s cannot shoot below -5 degrees so same thing with the T-64s, they cannot shoot accurately while driving and the ammo in not armored very well. So we shoot a few of the BMP-2s with the MANPADS, to clog up the front, same goes for the T-55 in the rear so they can't go anywhere in the vehicles then we nade their asses and get the hell out of here."

They ran just below the ridges until they came out ahead of the convoy. They set up the three MANPADS and then crested the ridgeline. Within five seconds the first two missiles were away and two seconds later the T-55 had a missile inbound. The other seven crested the ridge each throwing a grenade. Three concussion , two white phosphorous and two VX gas grenades hurtled down towards the convoy.

[ooc:MANPADS? you mean like stingers? maybe a T-55, but i dont think it would do anything to a modernized T-64. And on supply convoys, especially in mountainous regions, it's common to ride on top of the BMP/BTR. That allows you to watch the hills]

"ENEMY FIRE! PREPARE FOR BATTLE" yelled the commander of the group, after two of the BMP's had been hit by missiles, along with the Adjikstani T-55.

Several explosions went off near the road, and they had noticed the gas grenades go off. At first they thought it was smoke, however the driver of the Adjikstani water truck ran through the mist and began seizing. The soldiers, who were using the armor for cover put on their masks and used the auto-injectors before returning fire to both where the missiles came from and the grenades. The BTR-70's at the rear had a target in sight with the KPV and began firing.

"Falcon, we need support, unknown number of enemies in the mountains, we have taken casualties, over!"

The pair of Mi-28 turned back and began scanning the mountain top for threats.

OOC: I wasn't shooting the T-64, I shot what you said I hit.

BMP-2s with the MANPADS, to clog up the front, same goes for the T-55

As for the men on top of the BMPs, I understand that, hence the number of seconds before firing. However, since they don't know where to look it would be foolhardy to assume that they all would be looking in the right place. Anyhow, your post is perfectly in tune with what I had in mind so lets continue.

IC: The last man with MANPAD was torn apart by the 14.6mm rounds pouring into the crest. His arm was shot off at the elbow and then cut in half again before it hit the ground. His legs buckled as he took two rounds in his right thigh. He began to yell, "For Christ I die!" but was cut short when a bullet ripped open his throat. His head exploded as he finally hit the ground. The other nine ran along the crags and rocks getting straffed by the Mi-28s. A stream of rockets caught the last three before they were able to make it to cover. Their bloody stumps flew through the air in an elegant arc that betrayed their origin. The final six locked and loaded their battle rifles and began to ascend the chasm. When they got to the top they waited for the helicopters to make a pass before they opened up. Another two where blown away as the choppers flew over. The other four poured their entire clip into the air at the enemy.

"Copy. Falcon 2, continue fire support. Medevac chopper is inbound for our wounded guys."

"This is Falcon 2, enemy targets inside the crevices, I cant get a clear shot..."

"This is HQ, try another angle..". the airbase commander was laughing inside at this obvious solution to the problem at hand. The pilot was new, and wasn't trained extensively for that kind of fighting.

"This is Stark-1 [Medevac copters are called "Starks", as attack ones are "Falcons"], enroute to location, over."

"This is Falcon 2, I'm taking fire from that crevice..there. gunner, use HEI rounds."

The gunner of the Mi-28 began firing at the assumed area, while firing another salvo of 80mm rockets.

"E-Squad, advance up the hill, check for traps on the way up. Bring back any bodies if you find any. They were probably just rebels, but that attack was too coordinated.."

"Enemy force have gone hostile, orders?"

"Open fire. Once they are out in the open use a Raven on them."

Knowing what purpose the NTC UAV's served, the SRCP forces used their auto injectors and put on their NBC protective gear, and braced for combat. An artillery battery in the mountains began to fire upon a group of forces they had detected via a listening post, and all forces in Adjikstan were put on full alert.

At the DMZ line, soldiers were using Kornet launchers priority targeting tanks, while RPG forces would close the gap when they were in range

The 10 tanks that didn't have their countermeasures online were destroyed as the incoming missile hit home. Soon the massive invasion was engaged all across the border. The USSCP fortifications were being bombarded and the NTC armed forces pressed their massive numerical advantage. They used their momentum to push the tiny USSCP force back in a direct mushroom form.

"Colonel, the NTC forces have begun an assault, they out number our forces on the DMZ largely. Orders?"

"Tell them they are on direct orders to hold their ground. Once the NTC forces are past the first defense line, or radio contact is lost, use tactical missiles on the area. After that, standard attack operation will ensue. All units are now put on maximum alert."

The smaller forces at the DMZ were pushed back, but held their ground to a certain point. The infantry were bogged down by artillery, however the tanks took defensive-offensive positions against the attacking force, targeting enemy tanks and IFV's. They would coordinate their attacks along with artillery. Several Su-25's were inbound, while bieng covered by 5 X-02 Wyvern craft.

OOC: I would agree with everything you said but flanking my troops? I have sent a human and machine wall at you, 200,000 men versus your
7th Motor Rifle Battalion, supported by an Artillery company located further back. There's also a tank division mainly consisting of T-64MV's, and a number of T-90 and supporting infantry
Flanking would not be possible, I would carry every position due to sheer fire supremacy and inertia. You could only engage me in troop concentrations, I am assuming around arty, and there you couldn't outflank without traveling far out from the arty bases. In so doing I would rout the arty, and repulse the flanking maneuver with little effort. You have less then 50,000 men along the border, all unit types accounted for. The NTC outnumbers you on the border 4:1 with another 300,000 in reserve in eastern Adjikstan.

The NTC forces soon broke the front lines and began their thrust toward the second line of defense. They killed every USSCP soldier they came across screaming, "NO PRISONERS!" When the southern section finally crested the Sadr Ridge they allowed the logistical section to come up. Batteries of anti-aircraft and anti-airborne object missiles were set up to defend the southern advance.

A request for more troops was requested immediately. The reserves began to mobilize traveling 50 miles behind the advancing armies. They secured the villages they passed through.

As the first defense line crumbled, an offensive operation was being prepared. Twelve R400 tactical missile launchers, firing the maximum nuclear payload the missiles could carry, fired their payloads in a line at the advancing enemy formations, intending to take out the larger concentrations and armor. Once the missile hit their targets, a combined SRCP-Adjikstani armor assault would commence, with full air support via CAS aircraft and helicopter gunships. They would be supported by a squadron of Su-35 on call, and several mobile artillery companies.

ooc: considering the fact that this NS I assumed your nuke was big enough to make Hiroshima and Nagasaki like a joke and you are shooting a number from twelve launch vehicles, my response would be to die, not much I can do. My southern army is covered as far as destroying the missiles before they detonate. Even then depending on how many are launched some might get through the net. It only takes one. The northern and central armies are totally susceptible. My reserves are not far enough behind to avoid serious damage. On top of that physics dictates that if you detonate that many nukes in that close of a proximity the world will end, so I guess we are both doomed. :p

As the Adjikstani army advanced, they were already feeling the effects of the radiation. The Geiger Counters inside the T-55's that they possessed were constantly going off, due to the wind blowing fallout. Because they weren't expected to survive long against the NTC forces, they weren't given things such as body armor, but they did have antirad meds. Their equipment varied; Most of their weapons were from rebel caches, or things captured at port from when the ALF would purchase things from arms companies. The SRCP forces had SKAT-10M suits on, which would protect them from N.B.C., along with good protection from small arms.

"The Adjikstani forces have begun their advance. We're expecting a 60% casualty rate among them, but they should be able to weaken their defensive line. One they make contact, we will hit them hard and fast. Make sure the forces are ready, we'll be moving shortly."

The USGA Air Force was closing in to the NTC forces, ready to unleash a storm of explosives. Meanwhile, the General in command in Kandahar sent a message to the SRCP operation commander.

[ENCRYPTION LEVEL:5]

TO:SRCP Operational Command
FROM: USGA Army Special Forces Command

We would like to send a squads of special forces to work with Spetsnaz and to help combat the NTC. They are some of the USGA's best soldiers and are former SWAT officers or Airborne Rangers. Theoretically, they do not exist to the public. We would like them to learn Spetsnaz fighting methods and to teach them some Western fighting methods as well.

The team is the Army Immersion and Cooperation Detachment Victor, or VICTOR squad.

Leader: Sgt. Major Mikhail Kamayshev (weapon of choice: AK-74M)
Sgt. Eric Schmidt (AK-74M)
Sgt. Michael Le (AK-74M)
Sgt. Gordon Chang (Saiga)
Cpl. Allen Daly (AKS-74U)
Cpl. David Silow (VSS Vintorez)
Cpl. Patrick Carroll (Dragunov SVD)
Cpl. Tim McAllen (PKM)

All team members are experts in firearms and foreign languages. Hopefully, they can make a deadly addition to your forces.

With best regards,
General Harry Forge

While a larger battle was set to commence elsewhere, another convoy had become under attack by rebels near the SRCP border. The column had been trapped when the T-64 at the front's engine was taken out, and several Kamaz trucks had been blown up. The rebels were shooting from dug-in positions on the high ground, and were inflicting heavy casualties on the newly arrived conscripts, as this would be their first battle. A BMP-2 gunner located one of their firing points, and fired several cannon shells which made quite a mess if the men in the crevice. From the opposite side of the canyon, a rebel fired an RPG at the BMP, obliterating it and taking a few soldiers with it. Since the rebels wanted to fight another day, they retreated into a nearby village.

Two squads from a different unit came to follow the rebels and kill them, and caught up with them quickly via helicopter. Along the way the helicopters tore up a group of rebels setting up another ambush, which probably would have targeted the medical units. When they were near the village, they dismounted from the helicopters, who would stay nearby. It wasn't uncommon for the rebels to hide among the civilian populations, sometimes they were even inside their homes. Because of this, random sweeping operations often targeted such places. Upon entry of a house, for example at dinner time, two soldiers would cover the family and ask them if there was anyone in the house other then them. After getting a response, the house would be searched thoroughly, and anyone found that wasn't directly named by the family would be shot on site. If the family is found to be a repeated shelter for rebels, they would be executed.

The village in question, was to be razed. Several times in the past weapons had been confiscated from here, and many militants resided as well. The squads moved in quietly, and checked their weapons. They were using the newest AP ammunition issued, which had no problems tearing through multiple objects, people and cover alike. All at once, they began spaying the huts and buildings with bullets, calling in the Hinds to take out the heavier buildings. The gunmen from the attack earlier rushed out to fight, but were cu down quickly. When the only thing left alive were the soldier, they were evacuated back to their unit. It was unlikely that there would be any repercussions from this, since the level of insurgent movement was down by 63% compared to when they had first invaded.
