The Royal Federal Republic of Tree Hugging Lesbians

-Overview:

As it's colorful name suggests, the nation of Tree Hugging Lesbians is a unique nation. Proudly boasting not only a 100% female population, but a 100% homosexual population as well. Obviously it's society is much different with the removal of an entire gender from the equation. Fundamental parts of any society such as the family unit have had to compensate for the lack of an suitable male role model for children. This has been (somewhat) solved by encouraging both participants of a marriage to take on traditional traits of both genders. One woman is encouraged to care for the children, cook, clean and stay at home while the other is typically asked to take on masculine traits, such as working full time and becoming the soul bread-winner.

The development of advanced genetic medical procedures involving DNA extraction & insertion into the ovum has lead to a fast, reliable and safe method of reproduction for the population at large. This means that problems that typically effect many countries, such as teenage pregnancy are completely unheard of within the Republic. Of course there is the usual detraction that what should be a natural process of reproduction has become heavily if not completely Dependant on medical science and a business niche for medical corporations that perform the procedure for couples. However exploited and controversial the process is, however, the nation is complete dependent and devoted to it's continued practice.

The nation of Tree Hugging Lesbians is also a far more politically & socially diverse nation than one would first guess judging by it's name. Though leftist views make up the majority in the latest consensus, THL is a nation that welcomes and encourages the stimulation and presence of all ideals. Conservatism, Socialism, and even Communism and Fascism have all taken on new forms within the country. The reigning Government remains a staunch limited monarchy in which an Empress remains the head-of-state, but has little actual political power. The true power lies with the President, an official elected by the people to rule the Executive branch of the Government.

Demographically the population of THL is as diverse as its politics. Though, similarly to many nations on Earth Caucasians make up the majority of the population, all races have been well assimilated within the nation. Though the diversity of the nations races has been theorized to be the cause of the high crime rates in lower-income Urban areas, the population as a whole gets along with each other extremely well.

.-Geography

The geography of Tree Hugging Lesbians has reflected by it's massive size. Bordered north and south by vast stretches of desert wasteland, whose inhabitants are savage aboriginal peoples the continent of Tree Hugging Lesbians it self stretches for many square million miles East and West, with large coastal areas on two separate oceans. Between these oceans, almost every climate type is represented. Frozen arctic tundras, vast deserts and green plains. The coastal areas contain the majority of the population, but there of course several dozen major cities in the central area of the nation.

Due to heavy environmental damage caused by the nations industry in the previous two decades, extreme weather conditions such as hurricanes and electric storms an are common and ocean levels have risen two whole meters. However, recent advances in technology are leading to possible solutions of the problems the environment of THL faces. Still, over tree thousand types of flora and fauna are listed as endangered at the moment. National parks and private DNA collections insure that species will not become extinct whatever the case, however.
