Steudlton

Mattheius Jozef Steudl was sitting in his office in the Council Building on New Wichita Boulevard. He turned around and looked out the large bullet proof windows. A mere five blocks away was Embassy Square. A nice panoramic of the city was the benefit of his office. From the naval facility to the parks on the western edge of the city and everything in between.
He had just sent a fax to the leader of the Free United States. It was short, but got the point across. Steudlton thought it was about time to host the crew of the Battle Horn and their country's president. It had been about a month and a half since that incident had occurred. The crew were safely back and the Responder was just finishing up the MkII upgrade.
To: Steven Vincent Galindo III, Premier, Commonwealth Supreme Soviet
From: Mattheius Jozef Steudl, President, Firefighting Republic of Steudlton.
Mr Galindo,
It has been a few weeks since our two countries have had communication. In our last trade-off we had mentioned the crew of your Battle Horn recieving some very high honors. We feel that the time is near for these men to attend the ceremony in New Wichita which honors them. You and your family are invited to attend as well. Proposed date is four weeks from today. We can accomodate the Battle Horn with berthing at Naval Base New Wichita if needed.
Sincerely,
- Mattheius Jozef Steudl
Matt sat back and watched a large airliner lazily fly along the traffic pattern on approach to New Wichita International. A rather large airport just outside of town to the west. He wondered silently what the response would be. Such a ceremony would be a great way for Steudlton to officially enter into the international scene.
