Crimean Republic

Yalta Observer

On the fortieth anniversary of the Ukrainian Rebellion, Ukrainian and Russian leaders in Yalta organized a peaceful march through the streets of the capital in order to promote the cause of Russian rights within Crimea. The four thousand person march included Russians, Ukrainians and Tartars alike, all demanding that Russians receive equal treatment under the laws of the Republic.

One Russian told our reporters that "Until my people receive civl equality with the Ukrainians and the Tartars, our nation will never be a true republic." This sentiment is widely held in the Russian communities--communities that are growing even more influential as of late thanks to the rapid industrialization of the country.

Tartar authorities expect this to be an isolated incident, and have yet to hold a press conference at the time of this article.

Vantanian businesses have, since industrialization of the Crimean started, been a major employer on the Crimean. Despite general Vantanian principles of equality, for maximum profit and acceptance in the Republic, the employment standards largely mimicked the general discriminatory feel of the society. However, when news of the civil rights movement hit the ears of Tucker Boot, CEO of Buy & Sell as well as general leader of the Vantanian World Corporation, he quickly put into motion a series of events that changed Vantanian policy. All of a sudden, all Crimeans, Russians, Ukrainians, and Tartars had their wages averaged out, resulting in a fall in the wages of Crimeans, but a rise in the wages of the other other ethnic groups.

In addition, in minority communities such as those of the Ukrainians, Tartars, and Russians, an advertizing campaign began. This campaign strongly identified Vantanian businesses and goods with the cause of the Civil Rights Movement, and with equality in general. In addition, it advertized promotions such as ten percent of profits on fridays going to the Civil Rights Movement, or similiar schemes.

To: Tucker Boot
From: Pavel Grooben, Director of the Association for the Advancement of Tartars (AAT)

SIR:

It seems that you have forgotten some of the past events in the lives of regular Crimeans. Back during the Second World War, our two sides fought valiantly together against fascism, despite the dangers. The Russians on the other hand sided with the Nazis and their cronies, and enacted one of the worst human slaughter in the history of the earth. They killed 12 million Ukrainians, Crimeans, and Tartars simply for resisting their despotic rule and defending their oath to the Tzar.

You and your corporations ought to be ashamed of yourselves. Do not expect your actions to go unnoticed by the greater Crimean/Tartar community.

TO: Tucker Boot
FROM: Mikhal Brezno, President of the Council on Ethnic Equality (C2E)

SIR:

Mr. Tucker Boot, as the President of the EEC, I salute you in your courageous actions that have brought your corporations to the forefront of the equalism movement. Thanks to you, the first steps of the Russian equalism movement have lead the greatest achievement in civil rights since the Ukrainian Rebellion in 1968, without firing a single round.

We can only hope that others follow your noble lead.

For your services to the equalist movement, I would like to extend a personal invitation for you to join the Council.
