This is my first voyage into the world of Nationstates forums. I’m basically looking for other sci-fi role-play nations and colonies to interact with!

This is the first colony to be established by my nation. It’s young and at the moment, vulnerable. The small contingent of military vessels attached to the colony could tip the balance in any existing conflicts or initiate trade with neighbouring powers. Unique technology includes the NCI (Neural Cluster Interface): a bio-engineered cluster of synthetic cells implanted in the brain, which increases brain function and allows for direct communication with compatible technology.

There’s no aid for the colony available from my home nation. It’s isolated by vast distance.

Fleet:

1 x Command Carrier ‘The Saint’:

Commander – Admiral Armstrong – shrewd tactical knowledge and experience.
Length – 9km
Girth – 9km
Crew compliment – 6000
Fighter compliment – 400
A massively heavy ship of the line.
Able to hold its own against other capital vessels.
Heavily armed and armoured.

2 x Colony Vessels:

Civilian commanders
No armaments
Size – City sized, disk shaped, diameter 80km
Crew compliment – 500,000 each
Resilient due to huge size, but not built to survive sustained attack

12 x BF-1401s:

Experienced Commanders
Length – 400m
Girth – 320m at widest point
Crew compliment – 7 each
Fast escort vessels with enough fire power to class themselves as medium cruisers.
Sleek and manoeuvrable, but wouldn’t go toe to toe with capital ships.
Dedicated hit-and-run or rapid response vessels.

I might be able to aid you in your search for fellow FT nations, although it wouldn't be my nation proper but another group I have in mind that I would like to develop. While my nation is Paranoid Isolationist/Expansionist state I intend to change that at some point in the future and would thus like to develop the catalyst that I shall use in the future. While this may not sound interesting, it's the perfect way to build a solid foundation for future endeavors.

Sorry for the wierd wording and any spelling mistakes, I kinda got carried away with my origanal thought process.

mm well i don't have planets in Known Space (NS space) but i do have wolf packs made of 62 ships dropping in and doing things you could meet one doing something

I feel honered to be the exception that proves the rule. Also Jolt has delayed one of my posts, which sucks alot.

they're mentally lacking too. you know that realistically my side woul win. we aren't averse to negotiations, though.

They know nothing about your race! Their reactions have been fairly predictable so far... feeling like they were safe and had the advantage... trying to scare you off...

when you have on three of your borders you have bigger empires who like to hack your ships bring war time yes and all so 62 ships are doing it

Well to be fair Deata, you did RP it as you're region after it started. So how could anyone have preped otherwise?

i know, not that part. but why were they so far from home in the first place? i would think that they'd start near their home planet, and gradually build up influence before they methodically spread, not pop up randomly way too far away for safety and claim some random system.

That's a practical consideration by me I'm afraid. It's my first RP... I didn't want to do 'lasting damage' to my main nation/region by srewing it up. I figure if this colony is lost... no harm done... they're out on their own!

Hey Blas fish, im sorry i missed out on this thread of yours i was really interested too and i feel saddened now that i missed out :( if its not to late we can throw in a twist if its ok with greywatch about you guys hitting something and your ships throw out the colony ones :P and you get a second chance to colonise heh.. this time i could find you/be nice and not rudly kick you out/ surrounding you with hundreds of ships, tho i perfectly understand if neither of you want this.

Well I'll prolly make a new thread or continue in this current one, kinda like a chapter 2 sort of thing, where I move him into another system and help him get set up. You can join that if you'd like, at te moment I'm just dealing with Deata 'cause if you haven't read what we've done so far, take my word, its gotten a little chaotic.

Yeah, sorry about this. You know, at first i was planning to make some sot of deal with you and let you colonize, but then your people wouldn't negotiate and it went in an entirely different direction. bad luck, that.

Deata and BF, I would like to suggest ceasing all comments until maybe tommorrow do to the issues. Isa, please post any further OOC stuff here so the IC thread doesn't become too cluttered with OOC comments.

heh.. sure i was aiming at something happens and Ole Blasfish getting off completely as in not being surrounded by greywatch(i know you will protect him :P) but like his own space and note playing out as a parasite(yes i know your not closet choice of words i can find) on the body of a large empire.

Well seeing where the story has gone it'd be weird to randomly drop him out somewhere, plus, he needs protecting from you if your gonna be playing the 'bad guy' so to speak.

I read somewhere in your post your looking for a star system for him to inhabit, so i propose that you choose a supposedlly "unnocupied" rregion of space and drop him off there with some of your ships for proetection. Now seeing as the space you dropped him of would be near me i would drop by and say hi with a few dozen vessels 1/4th the size of your worldstater/slayers anyhowsit, My race is very reasonable we dun go round attacking people for no reason hell i bet if you proposed iti n the right way we would agree to be help Blas Fish and stuff protection,help etting upp maybe etcetc list goes on.

For all kewen seek one thing. While others seek Wealth materials etc we seek knowledge the one true item that stands the test of time so offer us a libary and we will glady take care of Fish <---- simplication of what i said.

That and im kinda taking a liking to BlasFish's people and their ways. That and owing to my growing and large pile of bordom i wana RP with peoples and do stuff! namely BlasFish coz his people are cute/funny
