Official Statement to the World

The Theocratic Republic of Beatus is looking for people to go on an expedition to Thompson Island, an island long under Beatusian control, but never formally explored. Due to the current economic boom in the Beatus, we are unable to find persons with the proper background for this expedition that are not otherwise engaged. We currently have 3 team members from the Beatus. We have the following positions open,

2 Botanist
1 Geologist
1 Entomologist
1 Herbalist
1 Dendrologist

The three Beatusians who are going along will be fulfilling the positions of Expedition leader, and security. We do not know what we will find on this island. We could find a new species of plant, tree, insect, herb, animal, or something of that nature. Maybe a lost society, or interesting rock formations. Also, to give incentives to governments out there, we will be allowing every person on the expedition to claim one section of land on the island, for whoever is sponsoring them, they may sponsor themselves, in which case they will retain rights over the Colony. Rules for the Colonial possessions on the island will be discussed following the expedition, as will the division of the island. All persons will have to provide they're own equipment, and they're own transportation to the site from which the expedition will be leaving, The City of the Blessed, the capital of the Beatus.

The assistant would be one Jan Soren also of Federal University, joint first in Archeology three years ago, has been on two digs inside the Artic Republics and is now to be the Prof's assistant at the university. He's 26.

Yes you may bring your assistant, if he is necessary to complete your job. But remember, your assistant will not be counted towards an equal share of the colony rights.

We however, must insist that non non-Juntastanese boards Ascendacy ships. It would make us ritually unclean for any debris such as dust or even your shadow to fall on us.
Do not take this as an insult. The Juntastanese people are a very spiritual race with a highly evolved and superior culture to the more primitive, savage and Unclean nations outside the protection of the Ascendacy.
We also would wish to inform you that for you to contaminate our ships, particularly our Inner Sanctums, carries the penalty of instant death for the offender.
We offer all the supplies you need, support and also if you desire, security. We do this to show the superior culture of Juntastanese and bring an example of snlightenment to more savage races.
