Malbalsi Test Site, 400 Miles east of the Comoros Islands.
the Military Officals watched Area of Ocean. in the middle of the area was a concreate Island.
"Blast in 10, 9, 8." the Countdown started, "7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1"
BOOM!!!!
The blast as over 50 Megatons, a Large Nuclear blast, Destroying the concreate Island and the old Cargoships around it.

Daily Briefing for the Ryouese Unit of the Glorious Republican Intelligence Agency

The following satellite images, and video released by Ryouese press confirm what our seismologists have told us. The blast, in the 47-52 megaton range, they're calling it 50 megatons, was tested at the Malbalsi Test Site, about 640 kilometers east of the Comoros Islands.
From our limited space based RADAR coverage, bad alignment at the time, we can guess that it was deployed via tall tower typical of such tests and not airdropped. Regardless at the 30 tonne range it requires either a large cargo plane that can be sighted by our OTH RADAR and our satellites, but there is a chance it was deployed from an aerial platform and parachute retarded from a high altitude which explains why our satellite didn't pick up activity at the test site in the air.
Our guess of the design, which we are now calling "Wicker", is a three stage thermonuclear weapon weighing in at 25-30 tonnes. A fission bomb primary compresses a thermonuclear secondary then the enormous amount of energy from that is used to compress either one or a multitude, and from our seismic data it is probably a multitude, of third stages.
From our fallout projections that are just coming it, we are still unsure of the tamper. If the fallout projection comes in heavy, then it's a Uranium-238 tamper, which means the Ryouese love spewing fallout on their brothers. However if it's light that means that Wicker is a lead tampered device, and it's fast fission neutrons are inhibited and it's a cleaner bomb in terms of fallout.
Of course our strategic analysis, barring some sort of proof of anything different, is that this is a show of force, and obviously we'll condemn such large saber rattling tests. The bomb is ultimately, strategically worthless in a military sense, mildly amusing in a political sense, and a poor economic indicator of how things are going in Ryou.
Wicker is tactically a powerful weapon, but being able to sneak such a large and obvious vehicle toward our forces would be amazing, and the advantage to a group of smaller strategic devices would do so much more with overlapping shockwaves. Suspected delivery vehicle for that would be a ship or a submarine on a suicide mission, or even an oversized torpedo.
