Uranium Trade!

Tucker Island
18-06-2008, 22:27
The great land of Tucker Island has discovered Uranium, and now has about 15 mines. That is too much for us to handle so we are willing to trade 5 mines for something of value.

We would be willing to purchase either the mines, or the raw uranium for use in our Kingdom. We request to know what you would feel to be a fair price for the mines. If purchased we would use the existing labour force so that none of your citizens are made unhappy. Uranium would then be exported back to Rabbid for processing. We look forward to hearing your proposal so that we can begin negotiations.

Message

Dear Tucker Island,

The Youtron Corporation would be willing to purchase five of those uranium mines for ₤10.9295 billion Navts (five billion Universal Standard Dollars), for private purposes. We assume that you could use the five billion USD for something beneficial for your country in replacement of a trade. Or you can view this as a trade: five uranium mines for five billion USD. Thank you for this offer.

That is a very good price. I'm willing to take that unless anybody is willing to bid higher.

I was on *gasp* Maldorian's side. Yes. That's right. You heard me correctly.

I only fought on RyanBrum's side because I had bought some of that oil and it was being taken from me.

I regret to inform you that we will be withdrawing from the the bidding. $10 billion is not a price that is affordable to the company.

With regrets,

Dear Sir,

In response to your offer to sell any number up to and including 5 of your newly-founded uranium mines, the Confederacy of Rafaellun would like to propose a new deal to you. We are interested in acquiring the materials that such an establishment produces, in this case raw uranium ore, in addition to furthering the company's status.

In this respect, we propose to provide a one-time grant of [2.5 Billion USD] to fund the project, in addition to a further loan of [450 Million USD] per annum. We can also provide up to 2000 trained employees to staff these establishments.

In return, we ask that 70% of their output be shipped to the Confederacy of Rafaellun per annum, for 8 years. Proceeds from remaining stock will go to the government of Tucker Island. At the end of the contract period, full ownership and responsibility for funding will revert to the Tucker Island government.

In short, after just 8 years you will have 5 more fully functional, fully-optimised and productive uranium mines.

Please, contact me as soon as possible with your decision.

Yours,
Gordon Harsgrad, State Economics Minister

FOUR THINGS!

1. We use Nuclear Power, this ain't for defense bud.

2. We're not.... Honest about our budget.;)

3. Even if we were, the funds we get from weapon sales and our mercenary group would be enough to fund a professional army. (Hm? No we didn't get any money from questionable weapon sales, why do you ask?:D)

4. Yeah, I got nothing else. BUT THE FIRST THREE IS ENOUGH!

1. My bad.

2. I'm pretty sure you have to be, that's the only way that people can guage your military.

3. I forgot about your storefront and I have not heard of your mercenary group. Sorry again.

But still, how much were you thinking of paying anyway?
