Official Mandalorian Merc. Statement

Mandalorian Merc. forces are pulling out of the region due to the destruction of the oil fields. We urge all loyal allies to follow the 2nd Mandalorian Merc. Expeditionary Fleet. Any foolish vessels wishing to pursue allied fleets will be dealt with accordingly. Be warned, RyanDurm; you are on The List.

2nd Mandalorian. Merc. Expeditionary Force Message to Otagian Navy in the General Vicinity

We highly urge you and your sailors to leave our allied ships alone. A boarding action upon one such ship is a blatant invasion of national sovereignty and although we may be pulling back, do not think that we will hestiate to defend our comrades. Do not tempt us.

Supertankers currently being boarded by Otagian forces are suspected of piracy. After being cleared of suspicion, any and all vessels will be released. If evidence of piracy is found, the vessels will be commandeered and all crew will be brought to trial before an impartial court. Interference with Otagian anti-piracy measures will be met with appropriate force.Valar Morghulis,

Official Mandalorian Message
http://www.bobafettfanclub.com/manual/iconography/shoulder-symbol.jpg

It has come to our attention that one of our largest and most powerful corporations in Mandalore Prime has been ruthlessly mocked by the nation of RyanDrum. The Tyrannical Mandalorian Empire has recently passed a trade deal with Mandalorian Merc. in which they supply us with oil and we offer them protection against foreign aggressors. Mandalorian Merc. recently purchased your ten (10) oil fields for a fair price. However, being the senseless people they were, they decided on destroying the fields. Not only does this produce much environmental problems, but they just lost more money from the destruction of the oil fields than they did if they accepted the fact that Mandalorian Merc. legally acquired the oil fields.

Due to your unjust action indirectly committed against our nation, we only find it suiting that you send us a few hundred barrels of oil. If you wish to refuse this, then you will be faced with very heavy economical difficulties in times to come.

That is all

~The Mandalore.

Good sir, I would like to file a complaint. I have been informed of your aiding the Maldorian Mercinaries Corporation, a CA linked state, and a puppet of Griffincrest Corporation. Given the current stance on the CA, I would like to know why the hell you helped these pirates attack and destroy a legitimate nation's oil fields.

This act has shown your traitorous attitude, and your betrayal of the Hegemony. I hope for your sake, acts like this do not continue.

The ralkovian carriers move in closer to the maldorian fleet and keep on moving with them. The ralkovian commander turns on his radio and openly broadcasts that, "We are Maldorian military vessels and an attack on us would result in a war between Otagia and Maldorians."

"Sir, tankers are not stopping."

The admiral sighed, rubbing his forehead. "Fire a warning shot across their bow. If they don't stop, sink them."

"Yes sir."

_____________________

The Banshees pulled up as Hel's fore turret elevated slightly. With a deafening blast, the three twelve inchers launching a salvo ten meters above the bow of the farthest tanker, splashing harmless in the water kilometers away. The Banshees returned to hovering over the bridges of the tankers, super-amplified voices booming across the few dozen meters between the aircraft and the crews of the ships.

"This is the Otagian Sixth Fleet. Cut engines and prepare to be boarded now. This is your final warning. Fail to comply and we will open fire. I repeat, this is the Otagian Sixth Fleet. Cut engines and prepare to be boarded now."

___________________

The pair of destroyers following the supposed hospital ship moved into flanking positions alongside their prey. Releasing their Banshees, each let a burst from its five inchers fly across the bow of the vessel. The aircraft again moved into position facing the bridge, gunpods trained on the pilots.

"This is the Otagian Sixth Fleet. You will cut engines and prepare to be boarded. This is your only warning. Fail to comply and you will be sunk."

Admiral Zahir was shocked. The Otagian fleet is really going to attack our ally's ships? "Get me on the line with Captain Tuipa.

"Yes Zahir, what is it?"

"Captain, the Otagians aren't stopping. They are going to sink the Ralkovia ships. Tell them to lay off and get the fleet battleready..."

"Tankers still aren't moving. They've self identified as Maldorian vessels, but it doesn't jibe with what the MMC fleet told us. They're bitching about environmental impact to boot. Still trying to flee, of course. Not very effectively, mind you, given they're tankers, and fully laden to boot. Orders?"

Tanaka turned to the Samurai officer, his handheld display of the fleet's disposition dropping to his side. "Hold fire with naval artillery. Begin boarding procedures, orders are to treat the crew as hostile. Try to keep casualties down, but don't take any unnecessary risks. Once they're secured and heading out of the Maldorian fleet, get a forensics crew over there, see what you can dig up."

The Samurai bowed, blades clicking against his red lacquered armor, before turning to relay orders to the Banshees.
________________

Hovering over the tankers, the Banshees closed to within a half dozen meters of the surface. In the lead Banshee's belly, a red-armored sergeant Hikaru gestured quickly to his squad, stylized demon mask at his hip.

Right boys, IR shows the crew clustering in these rooms here. From their movements, we're assuming it's an armory. We'd prefer to take as many alive as possible, so air quality is going to be HOT. Masks on, zippers shut. We hit the deck as soon as the birds pop clouds. For the love of god, don't make me smack any of you idiots for napping on the job.

Clicking his mask into place, the sergeant stood, M26 dangling at his side. Hearing the dull thump of the Banshees grenade launcher, he grinned invisibly, slamming the side door open and locking his line onto a hook.

You heard the birdy, boys! MOVE!

Sliding quickly down his line, the sergeant saw the rain of grenades airburst across the deck, focused around the superstructure and any hatches. Roiling black smoke engulfed the ship, and Hitori plunged down into it. As his feet hit the deck, he flicked on his thermoptics, the oily fog vanishing as the ship blinked into view again. Sucking air through his filters, he was glad of his sealed armor. Without it, he'd have been out cold within a second of entering the Kolokol-laced smoke. With any luck- and without a full NBC space-suit- the crew would be sleeping nicely as the gas permeated the ship.

As his men touched down around him, he moved quickly and quietly forward, signalling his Samurai to follow.

Below the water, Captain Mulland of the Challenger Deep waited. He had orders to only open fire if a fight broke out up above, but things were looking grim for a peaceful conclusion. Sitting restlessly in his seat, he watched his crew at work. They were eight hundred meters down, out of range of most antisubmarine weapons and wired to their sister ship the Mariana, but it was still nerve-wracking.

Feth it. Turning to his weapons officer, he spoke quietly. "Flood tubes one through six. God forbid they start shooting, but we might not have much choice. I want fish in the water if the Maldorians decide they want a fight. Relay the same orders to Mariana."

The officer nodded, and passed a note to the comms officer, who quietly tapped out the message.

Now it was up to the Maldorians...

Sir, targets just dropped off our scopes. Some weird artifacts popping up once in a while, but nothing solid.

Great. Thermal camo. Nice of them to tip their hands by activating it before any fights start, saves us time. I want everyone on 'sonics now. No surprises.

Toggling to ultrasonics, Hikaru watched the vibrant colors of his IR scope resolve into a bleak greyscale landscape, faint forms visible behind ethereal walls. He could see the tanker's crew moving about the ship a couple walls back, weapons clutched in their hands.

Still got movers, so they've either got the place buttoned up good or have space suits. Either way, they've got gear civvies have no business with. Command said no unnecessary risks, so engage on sight. Anything that's still walking after we breach, shoot to kill.

A chorus of affirmatives echoed over the radio, as a pair of soldiers flanked a door, pressing their backs against the wall. A third knelt to the side, wiring a breaching charge. Moving back, he lifted his gun, and signaled he was clear. Nodding, the sergeant lifted his hand.

Three, two one...

The explosion ripped the door off its hinges, sending shards of metal flying into the corridor beyond, quickly followed by the squad of Samurai.

Striding to the next door, Sergeant Hikaru adjusted his goggles, bringing the enemy into sharper focus. A small group, taking cover three rooms over. Nodding to his squad, they moved forward, silently clearing the next two rooms, again flanking the door and quietly applying a breaching charge. Nodding, the grenadier moved back, detonater clasped in his hand.

Flicking the fire selector on their rifles, the two flanking soldiers waited as Hikaru counted down, turning their faces away from the blast of the charges on the door, and followed the hail of former door with grenades to the opposite corners of the room. Two more detonations, nearly simultaneous, and the squad charged, rifles ready.

23-06-2008, 08:00
Standing was their first mistake: If they had taken cover, cowering behind some object, their lives might have been prolonged. As it was, the Samurai wouldn't offer them the chance for a second. Between razor shards of the door from their front, and the detonating grenades to their rear, their exposed forms stood little chance of survival. Even if they somehow lived through the barrage, any tears in their armor would quickly render them unconscious as kolokol-tainted smoke poured through the door, plunging the room into darkness. Unfazed by the smoke, the flanking Samurai followed up, firing from the cover of the doorway at anything unfortunate enough to still be standing.
Ralkovia
23-06-2008, 17:29
The tubes were oil tubes. The men screaming, screaming for help. The commander went on radio and began yelling,"WE ARE UNDER ATTACK, I REPEAT THEY ARE KILLING US, WE ARE TAKING UP WEAPONS TO DEFEND OURSELVES, PLEASE HELP!!!!!!" The soldiers readied their weapons and took aim at the door. They activated their own thermals and switched to full automatic.

One of the men was smiling waiting for them to burst through the door. He had in his hand a special weapon. It was dangerous to carry around especially on a ship like this but it would be worth it.
Otagia
23-06-2008, 19:18
Hikaru stepped through the door, boots splashing in the pool of blood and oil covering the floor. Stooping by one of the corpses, he held up the shattered remains of one of the tubes.

Idiots. Giving unarmed men thermal camo and wielding samples like weapons... Tell the birds to broadcast our footage to Fleet Command, should bite this idiotic propaganda in the ass.

Yes sir... Sir, orders from above. We're to continue clearing the ship. Second squad is approaching from the other side, and Third and Fourth are preparing to breach the vessel's bridge.

Good to see there's progress. Carry on.

The grenadier knelt by the door. Oil coating the floor. My charges will likely ignite the stuff... Good thing we're fireproof, ne? Get ready for some hotfoot, boys.

Behind his demon mempo, Hikaru rolled his eyes. As if it weren't uncomfortable enough in these damned suits without sweating like a dog... Let's get this over with. Switch over to canned air and blow the damned door. Thumbing the toggle on his chin, he felt the cool hiss of compressed air flowing over his face. Nodding at the demolitionist, he stepped back, pressing his back against the wall as he let his men do their job.

On canned! Detonating now!

With a thud, the door blew in, this time following the hail of shrapnel with a burst of fire as the oil-coated floor ignited, flames following the outrush of air into the next room. Backed by the inferno, the Samurai followed again with a salvo of grenades, before rushing into the room guns blazing in short controlled bursts, heat signatures invisible against the background of the oil fire.
Ralkovia
23-06-2008, 19:30
When the door blasted open it didn't matter if their was heat or no, a hail of bullets passed out of the room. BAM!! A bullet passed straight the metal...straight through the armor of the enemy soldier. A few of the men had armor piercing rounds in their guns. The men had the advantage when it came to firepower inside the ship. The bullets passed through the otagian armor into them they kept going hitting more men. They had tungsten and titanium and sodium. As the bullet hit the armor it would explode inside the man as the sodium mixed with the wetness of the blood. It would be very painful as you insides turned to jello.

Shit!

The lead Samurai stumbled back, ducking out of the doorway as he fell. The sergeant leaned down, checking the gasping soldier, a spray of bullets ripping through the bulkhead in the space he had just vacated, prompting the rest of the squad to hit the deck.

It's.. I'm okay... Gorget... stopped it... Fuck that hurt!

Looks like you caught one in the chest too. Armor stopped it, you're good. Lemme see if I can get the slug, you'll have a souvenir... Crap.

The Samurai looked up, a crown flames licking around his head. What? I'm okay, right?

Yeah, you're fine, but you caught an AP round. Nothing heavy enough to beat your ballistic plates, but be glad you didn't catch it in the kevlar. Slipping the slug into the prone Samurai's belt, the sergeant smiled, pulled a grenade off his own and yanked the pin, hesitating to grin at his downed squaddie. Thank god they're shooting blind though, or more of us than you'd be down right now. Rolling over to the side of the door, he tossed the grenade around the corner with a flick of his wrist towards the enemy position, while a Samurai on the other side of the door to fire a pair of carefully aimed bursts.
Ralkovia
23-06-2008, 22:08
The commanders smiled at the tight sealed bottom compartment of the ship. The battle would soon be over perhaps they would perhaps they would survive perhaps not.
The grenade didn't affect the soldiers much, water was pumped into the rooms to take out the fire. The soldiers fell back to another room closing the hatch. They began to barricade the hatch with equipment and weapons before falling back to another room. The only way from their was down to another chamber of rooms.

OOC:I'll try working on a map
Otagia
25-06-2008, 04:44
Seeing the retreating foe, the Samurai took the opportunity to storm the room, putting volleys of rifle fire into the backs of the fleeing enemy. The squad took positions in the room just as the hatch sealed.

Grinning, Hikaru walked quickly to the door, quickly setting yet another charge on it. They aren't getting away that easily! Fire in the hole!

The third door in as many minutes blew in, throwing the industrious crew about like ragdolls and skewering them with fragments of door and whatever else they were attempting to bar the way with. A fusillade of bullets slammed into them at point blank range, easily enough to penetrate even the hardest armor.

Watching the havoc, the sergeant noted flames rising up his shins. Puzzled, he looked down, and chuckled at the sight of the oil fire slowly floating higher on a layer of water, beginning to ignite items it couldn't reach a few moments ago. Fools are trying to put out the stuff with water? Well, at least their thermoptics will stay blinded...

Admiral Tanaka looked over the data streaming into his command center. Some quick research by his intelligence officer had isolated the tankers' class as belonging to the nation of Ralkovia, with little export internationally. Bodies retrieved by the PRA teams that were spearheading the boarding operation were of the same ethnicity, their armor and weapons only serving to further build their case for a Ralkovian perpetrator. The bulkheads were 4 feet thick and made of a special blend of reinforced steel, kevlar, and titanium. Behind each bulkhead was 60 tons of pressure, the samurai were effectively stuck in the ship.

The otagian communication grid went down as Admiral Tanaka had just told his comm officer to alert his government. The reason was that while they had surrounded the slow tanker ships, while the fast ships(speedboats and such) had gotten away. Those fast ships had dropped plenty of those little beacons(ICD) that intercepted and stopped communication and those little suckers were doing their job.

20 rockets smashed into the overhead banshees. The Anti-aircraft system had activated and it was in full force as the boxes on deck opened up revealing intelligent anti-aircraft rocket systems.(IARS) The systems had a field day with the aircrafts overhead. Best of all those aircrafts were way to close to try and get away from the ships that they were supposed to surround.

More defensive systems that were once quiet began to howl. Turret systems had activated killing any soldiers unlucky enough to be on the ships deck at the time. Steel nets shot out the side

This was happening all over the tanker fleets. The ships weren't just tankers, they were full fledged headquarter ships. Each ship could lead a theatre against an enemy, it had its own communications and defense network. They were literally floating fortresses when it came to personnel combat.

The otagian soldiers on each ship were stuck. The only way to win was to fight through the ships and hopefully find the person or persons in control.

Shit! Shit shit shit!

Lieutenant Jacob Asher's Banshee juked wildly, a missile streaked within a few meters of its wing. A second aircraft detonated nearby as a rocket caught it in the belly, showering the ships deck in metal and fire. Inverting his engines, Asher plunged his craft nearly straight down, barely missing the deck in a storm of chaff and flares. Pulling up a scant four meters from the waves, he saw a third Banshee do the same, its quick thinking pilot firing off a barrage of frag grenades, destroying the missiles streaking towards his craft.

Hearing only static from his radio, he switched LOS based comms, running lights blinking rapidly.

Command, this is Assault Alpha One Alpha. Targets have opened fire with concealed weaponry, Alpha One Bravo is down all hands. Have been forced to ground, Assault Bravo is stranded inside. Please advise.

"Sir, message from the birds. Looks like the Ralkovians were hiding some anti-aircraft weaponry on board, took out a few of our Banshees. The rest are holding below the Ralkovians' field of fire, under pretty heavy jamming. Orders?"

The Admiral glanced at the data pouring through his handheld. "Jamming looks pretty weak. Boost our signal strength, it should cut through it just fine. Bring the fleet within weapons range of the tankers, destroyers closer. Do we have a location for the boarding teams? Good. Have them use cannon fire, aiming... Here. Banshees are to stay out of sight until they're inside Barachiel range of the destroyers, and stand by with the ropes. Broadcast the plan to the boarding teams as well. Thank God the weather's nice, or I'd be daft to try this..."

Pausing for a moment, he looked again at the tactical display, frowning. "Doesn't look like we're dealing with a corporate opponent anymore though. Materiel is too good for any corp that isn't a nation in its own right. Update that transmission, and bounce it off an eye in the sky to home. Looks like we might have a fight on our hands..."

The ships engines turned to life as they were activated from the service compter at the bottom of the ship. The ship took off as fast as a oil cargoship could at the Otagian destroyers. The men waited for the otagian boarders to come closer.

Underwater an SUUV(Stealth unmanned underwater vehicle) slowly made its way to the oil cargo ships. When it docked it attached a large equipment box to the hull of the ship. It backed away and headed off to a larger fleet of Ralkovian ships. A huge fleet had amassed less than 60 miles away from the otagians, it included:
10 Admiral Kuznetsov class aircraft carriers
20 Nimitz class aircraft carriers
50 typhoon-class submarines
50 virginia-class attack subs
80 Iowa-class Battleships
100 Wasp class amphibious assault ships
200 Kirov-class battlecruisers
500 Arleigh Burke-class destroyers

and over 2000 aircraft.

OOC: Right. A few problems. A) There's no possible way a nation your size could support a fleet that large. You're not even four times as large as the US, and yet you're claiming that this fleet of yours is ten times the size of the entire USN. Even if this were your entire Navy, you wouldn't be able to support such a huge amount of vessels. B) How the hell did your fleet get from your homeland in the five minutes or so that the boarding action has been going on? C) Even assuming your fleet DID get there that quickly, how exactly did a sub get through my fleet's ASW picket? For that matter, how did a fleet get within 60 miles of mine without being sunk?

So yeah, I'm gonna hafta call bullshit on that post, and ignore most of it outright.

OOC:
A.This is my original nation, it has almost 700 million people, it has a huge draft so almost 500 million can be put in the military immediately. I have a 2 trillion dollar defence budget, so yes I can support a huge naval fleet
B. I said quite a while ago that I was sending a fleet.
C. Fine 180 miles

OOC: A) Pardon my french, but no fucking way. First off, even North Korea can't manage a 70% draft, and it's already turned itself into a shithole by dumping everything into military spending. A rough rule of thumb is 1% of your population, 5% if you're on a war footing, with a draft running. As for your budget, again, it's about four times that of the US's entire military spending for 2007, not including nuclear weaponry, veteran's affairs, or actual war spending (see Wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_budget_of_the_United_States)). Taking those into account, you've got a bit over three times their budget. You still haven't considered the cost of these programs, your army, air force, etc. On a related note, there are reasons why I don't rely on calculators such as NSTracker for anything but GDP. For example, it quotes me as spending a measly 2% on defense, while my RP'd military is considerably more aggressive in its spending (albeit partially financed by corporate earnings).

B)No, you said some time ago you were BUILDING a fleet. You haven't posted anywhere in the thread any sort of fleet movements at all. Even taking this into consideration, it would take days, if not weeks, for a fleet to reach a given location, especially considering this is still taking place virtually inside of RyanBaum waters.

C) Still WAY too close. Carrier engagement ranges begin at over five hundred miles, and detection ranges are more than that. For a good example of proper deployment etiquette, see my previous posts when I was planning to engage the Maldorian fleet. You'll note that it took me a considerable amount of time to get there, with distinct posts announcing the mobilization of Overwatch/6th Fleet, and even when I arrived in the general area I was still over 500 knots out.

OOC:I'm going away so pretend my fleet post didn't happen and I really don't care, if you want to bitch around fine by me but honestly you have bored me for the longest time. I believe the maladorians have left as well since they aren't playing anymore. So in conclusion, Bye I don't care.
