For many years, the Griffincrest Corporation was in need of a long range missile that was not the massively long ranged Khan. Engineers went to work trying to find a solution to the anti-shipping missile problem that Griffincrest was faced with, and soon, a Confederate aircraft company by the name of Riverstone Aeronautics found the answer in the Cormorant missile. The Cormorant is a massive step forward for the Confederate and the Griffincrest navies, as now they are able to home produce a powerful, long ranged missile capable of engaging targets at ranges farther than all other missiles in their arsenals, aside from the Khan.
