A Brief History of the Alliance Star Confederation:
SPACEThe Alliance Star Confederation started as a blood bought battle between the Spanish Empire and the Kingdom of Great Britain, during the Anglo–Spanish War (1585) between the dispute with the King of Spain and the successor of England, Elizabeth I. The Victory was that of the Spanish, but not for long, as the English Victory over the Spanish Armada pushed Spain back to their boarders and then would allow England to colonize the island chain for the Crown. Over the following years, a few hundred colonists would depart for the nation time and time again for the sole purpose of gathering resources, establishing light colonies, and a strict military presences as a many of Military ports and forts were erected.
Not much more occurred until the Seven Years War whereas the population of the islands known as "Constellation" were called to serve and deployed along with British Forces, in mostly the North American front. There they encountered the spirit of America, and it's urge to make a mark on the world, and representation to its mother country. After the war, taxes were squarely leveed upon the 13 Colonies in North America, whereas the people of the Constellation islands sympathized with the British Empire. They had just conducted a war for the security of the North American frontier, whereas it was the duty for the Colonies to support the government. With the outbreak of conflict in 1775, the people of the Constellation Islands quickly rallied to the support of the Crown, and a many of people begged to deploy to North America to help 'police' the colonies.
Many were not allowed to go, due to the hostilities of France, and as such, were asked to stay home and protect the homeland. Militias formed into Regular Units, and were coined the "King's Watchmen." They built ships, military academies, and forts around their island, and began to train along with the British Military and Army. The King, honored by their gesture, supported this move, with equipment and officers to better train the military as it was needed. A year before the French Revolution, the unit was officially accepted into all the branches of the Military. Following the outbreak of conflict between France and other nations, the people responded hastily in a means of Military deployment to the European Mainland they would be in conflict with the French Military for both the Napoleonic Wars and following escalation at Waterloo, as their forces composed of the right of all infantry formations for the Crown.
A many of years passed as the United States grew, along with a many of nations, the Spanish diminishing in power, the rise of the Germans, and the internal power struggles of Great Britain. The island group also grew, as it garnered a population of a million, and ideas of freedom and independence swelled and spread throughout the nation. With the aggression of Germany during the outbreak of the First World War, the island group was host to the United States when they deployed in 1917. With their influence, the islands began to consider succession from the Commonwealth, and to become an independent nation under their own banner and constitution.
The islands remained with the Commonwealth, as they struggled throughout the 1920-30's as the small group of islands, as Great Britain refused them aid, as they were also recovering from the First World War. Upon the beginning of the 1940's and the introduction of the Second World War, the island group was attacked for the first time by a foreign party since the Anglo-Spanish War. German Paratroopers, Air Force, and Naval Vessels nearly destroyed two coastal cities before they were repelled by the Free French and the Constellation's militia. They held off a multitude of attacks, while being supplied by the United States, whereas until their entry. The United States then deployed several elements of their Army and Navy to the island group to use as a staging point in their counter-attack against the Nazi Empire.
At the immediate end of World War II, and with the stationing of the American Military in the Constellation Islands, the entirety of the Island Group, ceded from Great Britain. They formed a constitution and a basis of a Democratic-Republic modeled thereafter by the United States. They formed an elected government, and divided the nation into states, and set new laws and rights among the people. The new nation quickly fell under the wing of the United States, as they supported them with resources and political influence.
The nation would fall to political isolation, solely communicating with the United States and re-opening of diplomacies in the newly settled United Kingdom. The nation would build its infrastructure, as cities birthed from towns, forts into military facilities, and a Democratic-Republic from that of a colonial state. The United States withdrew in 1991, from the nation, in a mutual agreement, whereas the nations are still in high regard of each other, and practice a mutual friendship. With the new nations appearing throughout the world, the Alliance Star Confederation would seek out new diplomacy, and remove itself from isolationism.
