Geography
Gibber Land is located on an archipelago in the Arctic Ocean. The island in which the Gibberish Americans live on exists is roughly 40,000 sq miles, the sixe of the state of Pennsylvania.
Climate
The climate is freezing since it is in the Arctic. Harsh weather patterns include regular sub-zero freezes and ice storms. The average temperature is usually 25 degrees Fahrenheit for most of the year, but in sine coastal cities, the weather can turn subtropical and make the ideal tropical vacation destination.
Power and Water Sources
The majority of electricity in Gibberish America is produced by hydrogen and fusion plants. However, nuclear, hydroelectric, wind, solar, tidal, and microwave power is common since these sources are cheaper than and just as environmentally-friendly as hydrogen/fusion. Much of the water in the nation is extracted from the sea via desalinization plants, since lake, river, and glacier water is considered precious in these areas.
AK-47 USA, Liberty City
The capital and largest city in Gibberish America, AK-47 USA is based on New York City, home to neighborhoods like Chinatown, Industrial Estate, Little Italy, Hove Beach, and South Bohan.The architecture is based on New York City's along with its layout (4 boroughs: Algonquin=Manhattan, Bohan=Bronx, Broker=Brooklyn, Dukes=Queens). The Rotterdam Tower, GetaLife Building, Corporate Ground Zero Plaza, and Kong Tower have their roots in New York, along with the residents' New York English dialect and the dislike of their neighbor across the West River, Alderney City. On the outer boroughs of the city are the hi-tech factories that produce all of the goods and food that are needed and suburbs. The city's navy yard serves as a seaport; AK-47 USA brings in goods from all over the world and ships out products such as vehicles, computers, clothes, and other everyday items. It is home to over 2 million people and is bases a military force of 50,000 soldiers at Fort Le Army Base, Mikoyan AFB, and the AK-47 USA Navy Yard. Being the capital city of the country means that Liberty City houses the Capitol and White House, the center of the country's power.
M4A1 USA, Gibberish America's L.A.-San Francisco hybrid
The second largest city in Gibberish America, M4A1 USA is AK-47 USA's huge neighbor. Once home to brutal gang activity in the South Central end of the city, crime has dropped significantly since the 1990s. The city is home to nieghborhoods and buildings based on that of Los Angeles and San Francisco, including the Gant Bridge(Golden Gate Bridge), Vinewood (Hollywood), Mulholland, Ganton, Kings, and Chinatown. M4A1 USA is the "Silicon Valley" of Gibberish America, since it is home to one of the world's largest computer-manufacturing industries, and also uses high-tech manufacturing for everyday items. M4A1 USA is also home to the city's film industry. As a major city, M4A1 USA is home to Ft. Evans National Guard Armory and Fort Sukhoi Army Proving Ground which base 50,000 soldiers in case of enemy attack. The city's 1.7 million people uses the city's transportation system, consisting of elevated rail, subway, railroads, monorails, freeways, bus, and tram systems. Like AK-47 USA, there is a prominent Chinese population and the city is a magnet to hi-tech industry.
M4A1A1, Gibberish America's Las Vegas, AKA "Las Venturas"
The third largest city in Gibberish America, M4A1A1 is located in the northwestern part of the island. It is home to many hotels, casinos, amusement parks, and retailers. Like the other large cities, the city's 1.5 million residents use skyscrapers to use space efficiently and the public transit like elevated rail, subways, railroads, monorails, buses, and trams. Much of the work done here is involved with tourism or banking, since the area has no raw materials of its own. Because of the city's location on a plateau situated on a heavily forested mountain where snow falls all year round, ski resorts provide visitors and citizens alike with winter fun and big-time gambling.

The White House
The White House is a giant complex and home of the president and his family. It is guarded by the best soldiers in the military and nobody has ever infiltrated it. The White House is also where diplomats and foreign dignitaries are greeted and stay on their visits to the nation. It is relatively easy to protect the building. The president keeps with him a videophone with a top secret code to launch nuclear missiles. There are 10,000 pound titanium barriers to keep out any known ground vehicle. The house is surrounded by a 100-foot steel crashproof fence. Any person entering the building must be searched for any harmful items and the entire house is guarded by tiny security drones with tranquilisers strong enough to stun an elephant. There are thermal imaging/ infrared sighting/ pressure sensors every 2 feet on the foors and sides of the building to prevent bombings. There is a military base on top of the White House and guided missiles to shoot down any vehicle. There also GPS satellites powerful enough to see someone's eyebrow all the way from space which is used to detect nuclear missiles and an AMDS system is hidden in the bushes. If the system does not work, there is a bomb shelter. Though it looks much like a military base because of high security, it resembles a five-star-hotel. In the backyard, there is a 25-yard and 50-yard pool, a Jacuzzi, a barbeque, a lounge/arcade, and a mini-marina. Inside, there is a bowling alley, a state dinner room, a map room, the Oval Office, a barbershop/salon, a snack bar, movie theater, a video game room, a TV room, and state-of-the-art bathrooms, bedrooms, and kitchen.

History of the Nation
In 1965, a volcano off the coast of Greenland erupted and spewed hundreds of square miles of lava at an underwater plateau. By 1973, the island had given way to a rich polar ecosystem. In 1974, thousands of refugees and immigrants settled in the islands, spurring the growth of cities. The island became a U.S. territory in 1975, and in 2000, the United States of Gibberish America was declared independent after a vote in Congress. When the new government had been established, a constitution was modeled. The island's population doubled in 2001 after the 9/11 attacks caused many Americans to move to Gibberish America. The new nation's economy had a fresh start. Sales, housing starts, stocks, and profits were high. The nation was abundant in resources and military strength. The nation had advanced technology such as AMDS systems and fusion power plants. The government was liberal, approval ratings were high, and crime was very low. By January 2005, Gibberish America was able to give 10% of its surplus resources to Indonesia after the great tsunami. It seemed a new era of peace was at hand.
However, on January 28, 2005, the Russian Embassy in M4A1 Klow was bombed by a rogue force based in the communist breakaway state of Stavolnoye Rossiya in Northern Russian. After a conference at the UN headquarters in New York City, the NATO and Russian forces declared war on the Russian Communist Party of Northern Russia. On February 18, Russian-NATO forces, supported by pro-Moscow rebels, launched a guerilla campaign inside Stavolnoye Rossiya. Many important cities were captured, and the oblast was eventually liberated. After the war, Gibberish America found itself a protector for capitalist, liberal nations, fighting communist dictatorships and sent troops to aid the U.S. for 2 months in Iraq in Operation Desert Hammer during the U.S. troop surge.
As of January 2007, Northwestern Serbia was hit by tornadoes, floods, tsunamis, and most of all blizzards. After relief was sent to Serbia, renegade military forces seized Quran in Iran and Equatorial Kundu in Zaire. With a military that could mobilize quicker than ever, the nation overthrew the forces in Zaire and Iran under Operations Nile and Gold Strike. Later, under the leadership of General Moore, the rebels were quelled. Peace had finally come to the once constantly-at-war superpower island of Gibberish America. Then, in Novistrana, things were looking different. Novistranian President Vasily Karasov ad formed a new USSR set up client states in Eastern European settlements in Russia. The U.S.G.A., in turn responded with other client states ready to attack the others. With both countries reaching for their nukes, a new Cold War seemed to arise. After Operation Sugar Cane in Panama and Operation Panda in North Korea, in the presidential election of 2006 former Vice President Lai became president. He currently faces issues of the threat of Soviet invasion and economic decline, but with the enactment of the National Defense Act and Free Trade Act in December 2006, military enlistments rose and Gibberish America rose from its economic plateau.
Though Northwestern Serbia was given relief, the state forces quarreled over resources and civil war broke out, causing President Boris Tadic to declare martial law. The Eruseans headed for State City yet were stopped by Yuktobanian, Osean, and US forces at State City Airport and were pushed back to Hac. In retaliation, a SerbAir 747 crashed into the Belkan Capitol Building killing the Belkan President and Senate. Meanwhile, "re-education" camps were raided and a secret weapon believed to be a CSS-4 ICBM arrived at US Camp Los Canas. As coalition forces surrounded Alendai, Erusea, Serbia, the Erusean forces aimed SCUDs at Belgrade in an all-out ditch attempt. However, an unknown nuclear missile strike believed to be from the Americans and Russians hit Alendai, killing 67,345 people. The Eruseans surrendered to the capitalists, but a "peacekeeping" force from Novistrana made a hostile takeover of the country and some its neighbors. Yuktobania, Osea, Ustio, Syldavia, and Emmeria became U.S. client states, while Erusea, Leasath, Aurelia, Estovakia, Molvania, and Krakozhia sided with the Novistranans.
In Latin America, the pro-Soviet government of San Esperito was overthrown by pro-American elements. With a new ally at its side, the USGA obtained trade, later ownership rights to the island. The country later participated in a hostile takeover of San Theodoros, Nuevo Rico and Palombia after the 3 had attempted to take over Gibberish America's claim to ownership in San Esperito. (a reference to the Falklands War in 1982)
In late 2008, communist North Sahrani was involved in a terrorist attack on USGA soil. After a revolution in the North, the South and USGA came in to Westernize the country. However, rogue military forces battled with revoutionary government, preventing peace. Only after another strike force was sent that the Sahranis could be united as Lesser Korea.
In fall of 2008, riots broke out in the city of San Fierro-Los Santos due to the mistrial of corrupt LSPD officer Frank Tenpenny. After National Guard troops and Lynion Special Forces were able to surpress the riots and verify the gang leaders involved along with Officer Tenpenny.
In early 2009, the Republic of Vertana invaded the USGA in San Esperito only to be repelled by Lynion, USGA, and Mexilando forces, leading on to a direct assault on the mainland of Vertana to bring Vertanan dictator Roberta Granuja to justice. After a mutiny in the VPA government, Granuja was overthrown and a peace treaty was signed between the Vertanan and USGA governments on the beginning of Tet, Vietnamese New Year.
For four years, the USGA lived in peace alongside the Novistranians until September 2012, when the Soviets were running out of money due to its downclimbing economy. After many riots, the Soviet government resorted to declaring martial law. Though the rebellion was put down, rebel factions managed to assassinate President Vasily Karasov, a former KGB hardliner, in a drive-by shooting. His successor Nicholai Vladekov, a former Red Army General, took control and decided to invade Western Europe. The Soviets attacked West Belka, American Monaco, Yuktobania, and Osea in an attempt to gain resources. In October, the French Army and the U.S. Army 5th Battalion led by Lt. Col. Jeremiah Sawyer and Commandant Jean-Baptiste Sabatier drove out the Soviets from American Monaco while the Estovakians, Eruseans, East Belkans were being held off from the other conflict places. The battallion later gathered intel from a crashed B-2 that crash-landed in Greiyev, Novistrana, regarding several Typhoon SSBNs that were about to attack the USGA naval ports in Abrams and M270 MLRS, while Novistranan Spetsnaz attempting to invade Liberty City were stopped again by 5th Battallion and the mainland's Army 75th Airborne Rangers. Facing risk of losing office, Vladekov invaded Vostok, Gibberish America's version of Seattle and the home of the country's Russian population, in November. Thinking the Russians there would help them, the Novistranians snuck in by disguised cargo ships, surprising the troops there. However, the local police force, law enforcement agencies, Vostok National Guard, Russian Army elements protecting the Russian Embassy, and 5th Battallion (all had a significant number of Russians in them) retreated and evacuated 60,000 civilians, only to hurt the Soviets with devastating losses. After they made a stand at Pine Valley, 5th Battallion forced the Soviets back to Vostok. In December, the Soviets headed east for Fort Teller, the headquarters of the Gibberish American AMDS system. It had actually been a bluff, so it was imperative for 5th Battallion and its reinforcements from Timberland to stop the Novistranians from reaching it or armageddon would be in its wake. As a desperate attempt to keep the Soviets from discovering American secrets, a B-83 nuclear-tipped cruise missile detonated over Cascade Falls, killing off 3 Soviet battallions and an American tank company who sacrificed themselves to keep Fort Teller safe. In January 2013, a rogue PLA division led by General Chang Jie Wang headed east to reinforce the Soviets at M4A1 Klow, causing President Peter Szendrenyi to order a nuclear strike to wipe out the Chinese fleet. To keep this from happening, 5th Battallion broke through Clearwater Creek and saved Vostok from nuclear destruction. The Chinese surrendered, and the American war was over.
Meanwhile, in Europe, the Gibberish Americans were keeping the Novistranians at bay. Estovakia invaded Emmeria in an attempt to annex it while the Soviets and East Belkans attacked NATO II in Belka. Borduria attacked Syldavia, and rebel factions in Krakozhia, Aurelia and Erusea supported by governments in Osea, Yuktobania and Ustio overthrew the socialist hardliners in power. For three months, both sides were at a standstill, with neither side gaining ground from the other as more soldiers and civilians were dying. The breaking point came when, in April 2013, Severnaya Rossiya joined the war on NATO II's side and invaded Novistrana and its Soviet republics with the help of Gibberish American and local rebel forces. The USSN was dissolved and the Warsaw Pact II members collapsed (with the exception for Leasath, who willingly changed from socialist to democratic government), joining NATO II in an effort to save their nations.
In 2016, the EF and USGA signed the historic Self-Lanuch Anit-Missile System (SLAMS) Treaty, creating a joint missile defense. In the meantime, the USGA's Arab allies and trading partners went to war with their Islamic fundamentalist neighbors, resulting in a nuclear exchange and the crippling of the world's oil supply. In 2017, Novistrana had become the world's number one supplier of petroleum and rebuilt its military from its billions of petrodollars. In 2018, both the EF and USGA declared energy independence from fossil fuels. In response to the lack of oil demand, Novistrana funded several terrorist attacks at the Freedom Star in the USGA (which was bound to be scrapped), the Rozenburg Refinery in the Netherlands, and a false attack in Dukovany, Belarus. Initially, the USGA believed the EF was behind the attacks after the Novistranians had uploaded the Stiletto Virus into Europe's missile defense system and destroyed the Freedom IV lifter. After the capture of GRU Colonel Pavel Doletskaya, the world learned Novistrana was responsible for the attacks. In response, Novistranian President Vsevelod Kapalkin invaded Western Europe and China, along with an attempted invasion of the USGA.
The Presidents
Ryan Lai Ming Le (R)
Originally a native of San Francisco, Le was a Chinese-Irish who later joined the army, rising up to the rank of major in the Army 1st Special Operations Detachment Delta, AKA Delta Force. After marrying his high school sweetheart Erin Schmidt at age 20, he joined the corporate world and became a sales executive at Lockheed-Martin, also secretly in charge of the company's PMC (private military company program), first at Ammu-Nation then at Universal Petroleum. In 2000, he moved to the island and settled there with his wife and twin boy and girl, Michael Schmidt Le and Stephanie Chu Le. Eventually, he became the first president of the country on June 4, 2000 as a Republican. As, president he created new economic and trade policies which brought in more money to the nation's treasury, which he used to fund government projects like widespread Wi-Fi connections, hydrogen power plants, the USGA's Pentagon, and nuclear weapons development. But what he was remembered for most was his excellent leadership during the war in Severnaya Russia, which was considered a triumph over communism. He was succeeded by VP Aloysius Lai and is currently the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Aloysius Chi Kiu Lai (R)
Lai, the country's first non-American president, was from Hong Kong and moved to the United States as a child. Recommended by his friend Ryan Le, he joined the Delta Force as well, becoming a captain. Lai, however, did not leave the army. He decided to stay and became a hero in the second Gulf War. Despite his achievements as a soldier, Lai was fed up with army life and decided to become a politician, starting with being the mayor of M4A1 USA, the country's 2nd largest city. In 2000, he became Ryan Le's running mate and eventually Vice President. In 2006, he was elected Vice President in a landslide victory, promising economic rise from the current plateau and protection from invasion. He passed the Free Trade Act and National Defense Act in January 2007, resulting in an unexpected economic boom and an increase in enlistments in the Army Reserve and the National Guard. Lai created NATO II, a collection of the USGA's allies to protect against what has been called "Warsaw Pact II", the country's alliance of rivals. He was succeeded by Le's brother-in-law Derek Schmidt in 2009.
Derek Opeka Schmidt (R)
A German-American from San Francisco, Schmidt was the country's first white president. He went to school with Le but instead of joining the army with his friend, he became a Marine. Schmidt rose the rank of Captain and became a highly decorated officer not just because of his leadership, but also his courage to fight alongside with his men. After years of military service, Schmidt moved the USGA where he became engaged with local politics rising from being a city councilman to the Secretary of National Security. He saw politics as not just a living, but some time with his friends and family in the government. (His twin sister Erin married former president and JCS head Ryan Le.) However, he wanted to make a lasting difference on the country, by becoming president. He got his wish in 2009, when he won the presidential election. He increased foreign relations yet help curb domestic issues by increasing education and health funding. But what he was remembered most for was the Universal Health Care program, enacted in 2010. Despite being criticized by other Republicans as "an act of socialism," the Universal Health Care program was successful. Schmidt resigned when World War III broke out "to give the nation the most capable man that could handle a large-scale war." His successor was Peter Mikhailovich Szendrenyi, the Secretary of Defense.
Peter Mikhailovich Szendrenyi (R)
Peter Szendrenyi was the second foreign president of the USGA. Born in Budapest, Hungary to a Russian father and Magyar mother, Peter moved to Moscow after the collapse of communism at age 6. There, he studied physics in at the State University and became an aircraft designer at Mikoyan Aerospace, Inc. He later joined the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Special Forces (MVD Spetsnaz), serving in Chechnya, Ukraine, Belarus, and South Ossetia alongside Delta Force major Ryan Le, who he came to be friends with. After his military career, Szendrenyi moved to the USGA to raise a family with his wife Ekaterina. He entered politics as a last-minute job before he acquired his green card and became a citizen, starting as mayor of M4A1 Klow. Szendrenyi then became the Secretary of Defense, getting the armed forces the best equipment and weapons money could buy. In an emergency resignation, President Schmidt handed over the presidency to Szendrenyi as World War III began with Novistrana. As president, he led the USGA forces to victory not only in the NATO II states, but in the country itself where the country's fighting men and women held off against an attempted Novistranian occupation of his home in Vostok Oblast. After the war, he rebuilt the nation and traveled around to new CIS states as a diplomat using his Russian language skills as an advantage, making relations with more countries. After his term, he was succeeded by Democrat Robert James Bennett.

The climate is freezing since it is in the Arctic. Harsh weather patterns include regular sub-zero freezes and ice storms. The average temperature is usually 25 degrees Fahrenheit for most of the year, but in sine coastal cities, the weather can turn subtropical and make the ideal tropical vacation destination.

The majority of electricity in Gibberish America is produced by hydrogen and fusion plants. The capital and largest city in Gibberish America, AK-47 USA is based on New York City, home to neighborhoods like Chinatown, Industrial Estate, Little Italy, Hove Beach, and South Bohan.The architecture is based on New York City's along with its layout (4 boroughs: Algonquin=Manhattan, Bohan=Bronx, Broker=Brooklyn, Dukes=Queens). The Rotterdam Tower, GetaLife Building, Corporate Ground Zero Plaza, and Kong Tower have their roots in New York, along with the residents' New York English dialect and the dislike of their neighbor across the West River, Alderney City. On the outer boroughs of the city are the hi-tech factories that produce all of the goods and food that are needed and suburbs. The city's navy yard serves as a seaport; AK-47 USA brings in goods from all over the world and ships out products such as vehicles, computers, clothes, and other everyday items. It is home to over 2 million people and is bases a military force of 50,000 soldiers at Fort Le Army Base, Mikoyan AFB, and the AK-47 USA Navy Yard. Being the capital city of the country means that Liberty City houses the Capitol and White House, the center of the country's power.
M4A1 USA, Gibberish America's L.A.-San Francisco hybrid
The second largest city in Gibberish America, M4A1 USA is AK-47 USA's huge neighbor. Once home to brutal gang activity in the South Central end of the city, crime has dropped significantly since the 1990s. The city is home to nieghborhoods and buildings based on that of Los Angeles and San Francisco, including the Gant Bridge(Golden Gate Bridge), Vinewood (Hollywood), Mulholland, Ganton, Kings, and Chinatown. M4A1 USA is the "Silicon Valley" of Gibberish America, since it is home to one of the world's largest computer-manufacturing industries, and also uses high-tech manufacturing for everyday items. M4A1 USA is also home to the city's film industry. As a major city, M4A1 USA is home to Ft. Evans National Guard Armory and Fort Sukhoi Army Proving Ground which base 50,000 soldiers in case of enemy attack. The city's 1.7 million people uses the city's transportation system, consisting of elevated rail, subway, railroads, monorails, freeways, bus, and tram systems. Like AK-47 USA, there is a prominent Chinese population and the city is a magnet to hi-tech industry.

The third largest city in Gibberish America, M4A1A1 is located in the northwestern part of the island. It is home to many hotels, casinos, amusement parks, and retailers. Like the other large cities, the city's 1.5 million residents use skyscrapers to use space efficiently and the public transit like elevated rail, subways, railroads, monorails, buses, and trams. Much of the work done here is involved with tourism or banking, since the area has no raw materials of its own. Because of the city's location on a plateau situated on a heavily forested mountain where snow falls all year round, ski resorts provide visitors and citizens alike with winter fun and big-time gambling.

The White House
The White House is a giant complex and home of the president and his family. It is guarded by the best soldiers in the military and nobody has ever infiltrated it. The White House is also where diplomats and foreign dignitaries are greeted and stay on their visits to the nation. It is relatively easy to protect the building. The president keeps with him a videophone with a top secret code to launch nuclear missiles. There are 10,000 pound titanium barriers to keep out any known ground vehicle. The house is surrounded by a 100-foot steel crashproof fence. Any person entering the building must be searched for any harmful items and the entire house is guarded by tiny security drones with tranquilisers strong enough to stun an elephant. There are thermal imaging/ infrared sighting/ pressure sensors every 2 feet on the foors and sides of the building to prevent bombings. There is a military base on top of the White House and guided missiles to shoot down any vehicle. There also GPS satellites powerful enough to see someone's eyebrow all the way from space which is used to detect nuclear missiles and an AMDS system is hidden in the bushes. If the system does not work, there is a bomb shelter. Though it looks much like a military base because of high security, it resembles a five-star-hotel. In the backyard, there is a 25-yard and 50-yard pool, a Jacuzzi, a barbeque, a lounge/arcade, and a mini-marina. Inside, there is a bowling alley, a state dinner room, a map room, the Oval Office, a barbershop/salon, a snack bar, movie theater, a video game room, a TV room, and state-of-the-art bathrooms, bedrooms, and kitchen.

History of the Nation
In 1965, a volcano off the coast of Greenland erupted and spewed hundreds of square miles of lava at an underwater plateau. By 1973, the island had given way to a rich polar ecosystem. In 1974, thousands of refugees and immigrants settled in the islands, spurring the growth of cities. The island became a U.S. territory in 1975, and in 2000, the United States of Gibberish America was declared independent after a vote in Congress. When the new government had been established, a constitution was modeled. The island's population doubled in 2001 after the 9/11 attacks caused many Americans to move to Gibberish America. The new nation's economy had a fresh start. Sales, housing starts, stocks, and profits were high. The nation was abundant in resources and military strength. The nation had advanced technology such as AMDS systems and fusion power plants. The government was liberal, approval ratings were high, and crime was very low. By January 2005, Gibberish America was able to give 10% of its surplus resources to Indonesia after the great tsunami. It seemed a new era of peace was at hand.
However, on January 28, 2005, the Russian Embassy in M4A1 Klow was bombed by a rogue force based in the communist breakaway state of Stavolnoye Rossiya in Northern Russian. After a conference at the UN headquarters in New York City, the NATO and Russian forces declared war on the Russian Communist Party of Northern Russia. On February 18, Russian-NATO forces, supported by pro-Moscow rebels, launched a guerilla campaign inside Stavolnoye Rossiya. Many important cities were captured, and the oblast was eventually liberated. After the war, Gibberish America found itself a protector for capitalist, liberal nations, fighting communist dictatorships and sent troops to aid the U.S. for 2 months in Iraq in Operation Desert Hammer during the U.S. troop surge.
As of January 2007, Northwestern Serbia was hit by tornadoes, floods, tsunamis, and most of all blizzards. After relief was sent to Serbia, renegade military forces seized Quran in Iran and Equatorial Kundu in Zaire. With a military that could mobilize quicker than ever, the nation overthrew the forces in Zaire and Iran under Operations Nile and Gold Strike. Later, under the leadership of General Moore, the rebels were quelled. Peace had finally come to the once constantly-at-war superpower island of Gibberish America. Then, in Novistrana, things were looking different. Novistranian President Vasily Karasov ad formed a new USSR set up client states in Eastern European settlements in Russia. The U.S.G.A., in turn responded with other client states ready to attack the others. With both countries reaching for their nukes, a new Cold War seemed to arise. After Operation Sugar Cane in Panama and Operation Panda in North Korea, in the presidential election of 2006 former Vice President Lai became president. He currently faces issues of the threat of Soviet invasion and economic decline, but with the enactment of the National Defense Act and Free Trade Act in December 2006, military enlistments rose and Gibberish America rose from its economic plateau.
Though Northwestern Serbia was given relief, the state forces quarreled over resources and civil war broke out, causing President Boris Tadic to declare martial law. The Eruseans headed for State City yet were stopped by Yuktobanian, Osean, and US forces at State City Airport and were pushed back to Hac. In retaliation, a SerbAir 747 crashed into the Belkan Capitol Building killing the Belkan President and Senate. Meanwhile, "re-education" camps were raided and a secret weapon believed to be a CSS-4 ICBM arrived at US Camp Los Canas. As coalition forces surrounded Alendai, Erusea, Serbia, the Erusean forces aimed SCUDs at Belgrade in an all-out ditch attempt. However, an unknown nuclear missile strike believed to be from the Americans and Russians hit Alendai, killing 67,345 people. The Eruseans surrendered to the capitalists, but a "peacekeeping" force from Novistrana made a hostile takeover of the country and some its neighbors. Yuktobania, Osea, Ustio, Syldavia, and Emmeria became U.S. client states, while Erusea, Leasath, Aurelia, Estovakia, Molvania, and Krakozhia sided with the Novistranans.
In Latin America, the pro-Soviet government of San Esperito was overthrown by pro-American elements. With a new ally at its side, the USGA obtained trade, later ownership rights to the island. The country later participated in a hostile takeover of San Theodoros, Nuevo Rico and Palombia after the 3 had attempted to take over Gibberish America's claim to ownership in San Esperito. (a reference to the Falklands War in 1982)
In late 2008, communist North Sahrani was involved in a terrorist attack on USGA soil. After a revolution in the North, the South and USGA came in to Westernize the country. However, rogue military forces battled with revoutionary government, preventing peace. Only after another strike force was sent that the Sahranis could be united as Lesser Korea.
In fall of 2008, riots broke out in the city of San Fierro-Los Santos due to the mistrial of corrupt LSPD officer Frank Tenpenny. After National Guard troops and Lynion Special Forces were able to surpress the riots and verify the gang leaders involved along with Officer Tenpenny.
In early 2009, the Republic of Vertana invaded the USGA in San Esperito only to be repelled by Lynion, USGA, and Mexilando forces, leading on to a direct assault on the mainland of Vertana to bring Vertanan dictator Roberta Granuja to justice. After a mutiny in the VPA government, Granuja was overthrown and a peace treaty was signed between the Vertanan and USGA governments on the beginning of Tet, Vietnamese New Year.
For four years, the USGA lived in peace alongside the Novistranians until September 2012, when the Soviets were running out of money due to its downclimbing economy. After many riots, the Soviet government resorted to declaring martial law. Though the rebellion was put down, rebel factions managed to assassinate President Vasily Karasov, a former KGB hardliner, in a drive-by shooting. His successor Nicholai Vladekov, a former Red Army General, took control and decided to invade Western Europe. The Soviets attacked West Belka, American Monaco, Yuktobania, and Osea in an attempt to gain resources. In October, the French Army and the U.S. Army 5th Battalion led by Lt. Col. Jeremiah Sawyer and Commandant Jean-Baptiste Sabatier drove out the Soviets from American Monaco while the Estovakians, Eruseans, East Belkans were being held off from the other conflict places. The battallion later gathered intel from a crashed B-2 that crash-landed in Greiyev, Novistrana, regarding several Typhoon SSBNs that were about to attack the USGA naval ports in Abrams and M270 MLRS, while Novistranan Spetsnaz attempting to invade Liberty City were stopped again by 5th Battallion and the mainland's Army 75th Airborne Rangers. Facing risk of losing office, Vladekov invaded Vostok, Gibberish America's version of Seattle and the home of the country's Russian population, in November. Thinking the Russians there would help them, the Novistranians snuck in by disguised cargo ships, surprising the troops there. However, the local police force, law enforcement agencies, Vostok National Guard, Russian Army elements protecting the Russian Embassy, and 5th Battallion (all had a significant number of Russians in them) retreated and evacuated 60,000 civilians, only to hurt the Soviets with devastating losses. After they made a stand at Pine Valley, 5th Battallion forced the Soviets back to Vostok. In December, the Soviets headed east for Fort Teller, the headquarters of the Gibberish American AMDS system. It had actually been a bluff, so it was imperative for 5th Battallion and its reinforcements from Timberland to stop the Novistranians from reaching it or armageddon would be in its wake. As a desperate attempt to keep the Soviets from discovering American secrets, a B-83 nuclear-tipped cruise missile detonated over Cascade Falls, killing off 3 Soviet battallions and an American tank company who sacrificed themselves to keep Fort Teller safe. In January 2013, a rogue PLA division led by General Chang Jie Wang headed east to reinforce the Soviets at M4A1 Klow, causing President Peter Szendrenyi to order a nuclear strike to wipe out the Chinese fleet. To keep this from happening, 5th Battallion broke through Clearwater Creek and saved Vostok from nuclear destruction. The Chinese surrendered, and the American war was over.
Meanwhile, in Europe, the Gibberish Americans were keeping the Novistranians at bay. Estovakia invaded Emmeria in an attempt to annex it while the Soviets and East Belkans attacked NATO II in Belka. Borduria attacked Syldavia, and rebel factions in Krakozhia, Aurelia and Erusea supported by governments in Osea, Yuktobania and Ustio overthrew the socialist hardliners in power. For three months, both sides were at a standstill, with neither side gaining ground from the other as more soldiers and civilians were dying. The breaking point came when, in April 2013, Severnaya Rossiya joined the war on NATO II's side and invaded Novistrana and its Soviet republics with the help of Gibberish American and local rebel forces. The USSN was dissolved and the Warsaw Pact II members collapsed (with the exception for Leasath, who willingly changed from socialist to democratic government), joining NATO II in an effort to save their nations.
In 2016, the EF and USGA signed the historic Self-Lanuch Anit-Missile System (SLAMS) Treaty, creating a joint missile defense. In the meantime, the USGA's Arab allies and trading partners went to war with their Islamic fundamentalist neighbors, resulting in a nuclear exchange and the crippling of the world's oil supply. In 2017, Novistrana had become the world's number one supplier of petroleum and rebuilt its military from its billions of petrodollars. In 2018, both the EF and USGA declared energy independence from fossil fuels. In response to the lack of oil demand, Novistrana funded several terrorist attacks at the Freedom Star in the USGA (which was bound to be scrapped), the Rozenburg Refinery in the Netherlands, and a false attack in Dukovany, Belarus. Initially, the USGA believed the EF was behind the attacks after the Novistranians had uploaded the Stiletto Virus into Europe's missile defense system and destroyed the Freedom IV lifter. After the capture of GRU Colonel Pavel Doletskaya, the world learned Novistrana was responsible for the attacks. In response, Novistranian President Vsevelod Kapalkin invaded Western Europe and China, along with an attempted invasion of the USGA.
The Presidents
Ryan Lai Ming Le (R)
Originally a native of San Francisco, Le was a Chinese-Irish who later joined the army, rising up to the rank of major in the Army 1st Special Operations Detachment Delta, AKA Delta Force. After marrying his high school sweetheart Erin Schmidt at age 20, he joined the corporate world and became a sales executive at Lockheed-Martin, also secretly in charge of the company's PMC (private military company program), first at Ammu-Nation then at Universal Petroleum. In 2000, he moved to the island and settled there with his wife and twin boy and girl, Michael Schmidt Le and Stephanie Chu Le. Eventually, he became the first president of the country on June 4, 2000 as a Republican. As, president he created new economic and trade policies which brought in more money to the nation's treasury, which he used to fund government projects like widespread Wi-Fi connections, hydrogen power plants, the USGA's Pentagon, and nuclear weapons development. But what he was remembered for most was his excellent leadership during the war in Severnaya Russia, which was considered a triumph over communism. He was succeeded by VP Aloysius Lai and is currently the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Aloysius Chi Kiu Lai (R)
Lai, the country's first non-American president, was from Hong Kong and moved to the United States as a child. Recommended by his friend Ryan Le, he joined the Delta Force as well, becoming a captain. Lai, however, did not leave the army. He decided to stay and became a hero in the second Gulf War. Despite his achievements as a soldier, Lai was fed up with army life and decided to become a politician, starting with being the mayor of M4A1 USA, the country's 2nd largest city. In 2000, he became Ryan Le's running mate and eventually Vice President. In 2006, he was elected Vice President in a landslide victory, promising economic rise from the current plateau and protection from invasion. He passed the Free Trade Act and National Defense Act in January 2007, resulting in an unexpected economic boom and an increase in enlistments in the Army Reserve and the National Guard. Lai created NATO II, a collection of the USGA's allies to protect against what has been called "Warsaw Pact II", the country's alliance of rivals. He was succeeded by Le's brother-in-law Derek Schmidt in 2009.
Derek Opeka Schmidt (R)
A German-American from San Francisco, Schmidt was the country's first white president. He went to school with Le but instead of joining the army with his friend, he became a Marine. Schmidt rose the rank of Captain and became a highly decorated officer not just because of his leadership, but also his courage to fight alongside with his men. After years of military service, Schmidt moved the USGA where he became engaged with local politics rising from being a city councilman to the Secretary of National Security. He saw politics as not just a living, but some time with his friends and family in the government. (His twin sister Erin married former president and JCS head Ryan Le.) However, he wanted to make a lasting difference on the country, by becoming president. He got his wish in 2009, when he won the presidential election. He increased foreign relations yet help curb domestic issues by increasing education and health funding. But what he was remembered most for was the Universal Health Care program, enacted in 2010. Despite being criticized by other Republicans as "an act of socialism," the Universal Health Care program was successful. Schmidt resigned when World War III broke out "to give the nation the most capable man that could handle a large-scale war." His successor was Peter Mikhailovich Szendrenyi, the Secretary of Defense.

Peter Szendrenyi was the second foreign president of the USGA. Born in Budapest, Hungary to a Russian father and Magyar mother, Peter moved to Moscow after the collapse of communism at age 6. There, he studied physics in at the State University and became an aircraft designer at Mikoyan Aerospace, Inc. He later joined the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Special Forces (MVD Spetsnaz), serving in Chechnya, Ukraine, Belarus, and South Ossetia alongside Delta Force major Ryan Le, who he came to be friends with. After his military career, Szendrenyi moved to the USGA to raise a family with his wife Ekaterina. He entered politics as a last-minute job before he acquired his green card and became a citizen, starting as mayor of M4A1 Klow. Szendrenyi then became the Secretary of Defense, getting the armed forces the best equipment and weapons money could buy. In an emergency resignation, President Schmidt handed over the presidency to Szendrenyi as World War III began with Novistrana. As president, he led the USGA forces to victory not only in the NATO II states, but in the country itself where the country's fighting men and women held off against an attempted Novistranian occupation of his home in Vostok Oblast. After the war, he rebuilt the nation and traveled around to new CIS states as a diplomat using his Russian language skills as an advantage, making relations with more countries. After his term, he was succeeded by Democrat Robert James Bennett.
