OOC: in regard to timescales it varies hugely and all depends on what you need it to be. the convenient choice is a general 1 RL day=1 NS year but many do cosndier that a bit wanky.

Oh and on the mecha tanky thing, do you have any more details on it? Although I would generally go with Confed's advice to ignore things like that unless it has a central RP usage.
