Mere minutes passed after the event, before world news agencies began to report a Nuclear weapon being detonated within the Bevenian City of Jackalope City. These reports come on the heels of reports of riots and followed suit by the complete loss of communication. Over Night the new burgeoning city descended into violence, anding in its destruction just before dawn. The Bevenian Government has declined to speak on or off camera whether it was an act of terrorism, But during the night all flowing water has been shut down, and the Military Reserves have been activated within every city on Bevenian soil. By morning various local new outlets began to direct locals on how to retrieve fresh water, as Martial Law Begins to set in.

Papillion was underground when the bomb went off, when she awoke she was in total darkness and covered in dust in what had once been parts of the building she was in at the time. The last thing she remembered was that she had been looking for shelter from total anarchy out in the streets. Her part of town had never been a good part, her line of work really didn't flourish much elsewhere, but things had become total chaos...then the flash

She was trapped, she didn't think she was hurt though. She called out, hopefully someone would her it. She didn't even care who found her anymore she just wanted some to hear her cries for help.

All David Remembered Was a Loud Rumble and Ash Everywhere. He Woke Up Under alot of Broken Wood and Rock, He Couldn't Feel His Left Leg and Right arm. He Used his Free Arm to push the rubble out of the way for air but all he got was dirty air filled with ash. He Needed To Get out of here so he started to get up but his left leg wouldnt hold him so he crawled with what limbs he could still use, and thats all he did... Just Crawling... Until He Heard Cries for Help. He Came Upon a Collapsed Building and started to yell for who was there.

It was loud, at first I thought it was a storm. But then the flash. I woke up lying in the bomb shelter my paranoid dad had built into the house when i was a kid, not remembering how i got there. The upper portion of the house was gone, rubble. I looked outside and saw the dissapating mushroom cloud. "Oh God"

David Rolled Onto His Back and Saw the Mushroom Cloud itself and Started Screaming at the highest pitch he could manage for help. He Looked at His Right arm And Saw That It Was Covered in Blood to the point you thought it was a bunch of solid blood in the shape of an arm. He Then Rolled Over and Started To Pull Pieces of stone and wood away from the site where he heard screams for help. He Kept Asking if anyone was there as he digged.

I heard a scream, I looked over a few doors down and saw a person lying in their driveway screaming for help. I tried standing but fell. I grabbed the crutches my cousin left last time he came from Altairan.

David Stopped Digging, He Lay there Crying Thinking he was going to die and he never got to go home to his wife and kids back in Razorl. He Thought About His Situation and how the Radiation was Slowly Killing Him and Anyone Near The Blast Radius. He Started To Lose His sight in his left eye... it was bleeding. "Dam" David Muttered under his breath as he tore his shirt trying to make a makeshift eyepatch.

As I hobbled over to the spot where i heard the man I started to look at the damage the the city. I was amazed at what that weapon could do. Then i wondered, "what bastard uses this"

"Ah Get Use To It Because These Moments Might be Our Last If We Dont Get away from the City" Spoke David as He Kind of Stood Up. "Do you Live here? Do You Know How to Get Out of Here?" David Said With Fear in His Eyes and Voice. David Looked around Then Stared at The Person In Front of Him.

"Yeah, I live just down the block, though I'm not much for navigation. Anyway I am a doctor so I know how to get to the hospital but it may have been destroyed. My car won't work anyway."

"Ok If My Compass still works we are facing north and the mushroom cloud is to the east of us so we need to head west." Spoke David as He Started To Limp Westward. "You Comming or are you gonna die from radiation poisining?" Spoke David with a Grave Look on His Face. Meanwhile Razorl Was Sending Some of Its Reserve Soldiers To The Bomb Site to help in retriving people.

"Today in Bevenia a nuclear device was detonated in the cities Government building center. Unknown numbers have died and many more may have been injured. The device has created a fallout cloud that is heading north of the city. If you live in the area shown please evacuate, Altairan troops have been dispatched to aid evacuations."

David Heard This Broadcast on his radio which was tuned to International News Broadcasts. "So Someones Coming to Help" David Said with a Smirk
A Building To The Left of The Two Collapsed Which sent a shiver down David's Spine.

Harvey Wells was flicking through the news websites on the internet with Vladimir Burte, something they done regularly, when they cam across news of a nuclear attack in Altairan.
"Christ! We have to do something Burte"
"Agreed, ready $500,000 worth of aid,alon with a battalion of soldiers and helicopters to go in and aid rescue operations."

David Saw a Sewer Entrance and started to Climb down it. "God Dam im Gonna Regret This." He Spoke With Disgust.

"Why do we have to use the sewers!" I exclaimed. The thought scared me, i had heard the rumors of large crocodiles living in the system.

"What? Don't Tell Me You Believe the Croc Rumor? I've Been In Every Passage in The Sewers For Weeks so im positive there are no crocs" David Said as He Used The Flashlight that was taped to the ladder. They Heard another Rumble and Ash Flew Down The Opening into the sewers. "Shit Not Another One" David Said as He Started To Limp Run.

With clearance from Altairan, 600 Burtilanian troops, 20 M113 APCs and 20 Iron heart ambulances left in C-130 hercules' and 12 H-92 Superhawk helicopters followed suit, all were imbound for an airport just outside the radiation zone, their mission, search and rescue.

(OOC: I will pick up a character or two from the battalion once it has landed)

Jason stared as the flash died, another cloud now expandig upward. Then an extreme wave of heat hit. Then, as the buildings crumbled, the explosion set forward vaporizing whatever was aboveground.

The Cieling Of The Sewer Was Starting To Crumble as David Grabbed Jason and Screamed. "C'Mon We Are LEAVING!" he Started To Run Down The Passage as The Sewer Started To Collapse.

One Of The Helicopters In The Area Crashed Right Into The Entrance Of The Sewer David and Jason Had Entered.

Sarah Donnelly was outside, jogging, she was off work today. She looked at her iPod, changed the song to Love in This Club by Usher. She looked up, there was a white light, a sudden flash of heat destroyed her. She died instantly.

OOC: Its a nuclear bomb blast. Someone has to die.

Papillion had had enough of being stuck. Her cries had not been heard by anyone else, so she began to move around where she could. Slowly she began taking off pieces of rubble that she could move, after a half hour her leg was free. There was still a long way to go.

Reports of another blast reached the 352nd Battalion as they neared the country.
"Oh shit, I hope thats the last of them." exclaimed Lieutenant-Captain Benny to his Sergeant Major.
The Sergeant Major replied "So do I, I don't want my men dying in another nation during a rescue mission. There are potentially thousands of civilians down there in a large city, I want to be out within a fortnight."
The fleet of planes and helicopters neared th nearest airport to the radiation zone.
"Come in Command tower, this is Burtilana Search and Rescue Battalion, requesting permission for touch down."

OOC: I dunno if i should just send in military troops or not...

A Razorl Soldier Named Jack Started Digging Through odd fate the Building Papillion was in. He Signeld His Comrades to Dig Through the Rubble in search of survivors.

There was a light...was she dead? was she alive? Papillion had no idea by this time, she was delirious from lack of rest, movement, and light. The rocks and rubble were moved, and she felt herself being moved and felt the tender caress of fresh air.

Almost immediatly after the battalion had landed 2 sections of 8 men steamed off in their jeeps towards the city centre, the rest set up camp in a field outside the airport. Amongst the 2 sections was LC Benny, he was in charge of the first search party. He ordered them to split up into their respective sections.
After about 10mins driving to the centre Benny's section came across Razorl troops surrounding a female body.
"Ahoy" he called, "do you need a hand?"

Papillion now hear other voices, others had arrived. "Are they speaking another language"? she thought to herself. It didn't matter she couldn't hear what they were saying anyways. She was dehydrated and saw that she was covered in cuts and bruises. She remained awake for a few minutes and then lost consciousness.

Benny jumped off the jeep, and walked over to who appeared to be in charge,
"This woman needs urgent medical help, do you hav anyway of transporting her to a hospital? If not patch her up and we shall tak her aboard one of our jeeps."
Meanwhile, Pvt Santus was radioing in to their command centre outside the airport, she was requesting another 2 sections be sent to their locale, she then radioed the other section and called them to their location also.
