The Two Fires (Sign ups, FT, really rather open)

Void Templar

After thousands of years of tension, the Empire of the Void Templar has finally fell into civil war. The aliens under the thumb of the empire have rebelled, some joining together, others trying to go at it alone. On one side, the Loyalists, led by the Grand Commander Redwater, have secured the center of the empire, protecting the home world of Karas. The other main faction, the Crimson Guard, led by Lord Shipmaster Rok'atan, have steadily ate their way through the outlying colonies of the Empire, killing all Templarian humans they find. As the Void rallies its elite troops, will they be able to stand up to the tide of former allies? And, more importantly, the millions of new enemies?

OOC: So, heres whats going on. Void Templar, evil cunniving bastards they be, conquered a bunch of planets, forcibly abosrbing the natives. Over the years the aliens have served, albeit unwillingly, and now, finally, the majority of the aliens have rebelled. There are five factions which you can ally yourself with, or you can be super evil and move in while the empire is weak for your own empire (if you actually want to conquer me, send me a TG and we'll talk from there.). Here are the factions and their leaders. Leader: Grand Commander Eric Redwater.

The Loyalists: The humans of the Void, most of the Asari (http://xbox360media.ign.com/xbox360/image/article/820/820810/MEexclusive_AUG13_embed_1190151095.jpg) and a few of the Kuvo (http://www.gamepro.com/screens/avatars/custom/BountyHunter9.jpg) have fortified themselves in the Local Cluster and are readying for the Crimson Guard attack.

The Crimson Guard: The majority of the aliens in the Void, the Crimson Guard is comprised mainly of Asari, Krogan (http://galactichub.vault.ign.com/Fanart/Elrolly/Mass_effect_fan_art__krogan_by_Elrolly.jpg) and the Strogg, (http://www.shooterplanet.de/Shooter-Archiv/Enemy_Territory_Quake_Wars/Enemy_Territory_Quake_Wars_Cover_gross.jpg) they aim for the destruction of the Void Empire and are slowly clawing their way back to Karas. They aim to forge a new allied empire. Leader: Shipmaster Roka'tan

The Freelancers: The races of the Kuvo and the Kroot (http://fr.games-workshop.com/40k/tau/jeu/tactiques/kroots/img/krootPic.jpg) make up the Freelancers. Their main objective is to completely take down the Empire and bring the empire back to what it was before the arrival of the Templars. Leader: Shas'o Montky'r

The Fiends: Aiming for total destruction of every living thing in the Empire, a horrible experiment gone wrong, now unleashed with a vengance. The new Hive Mind, conisiting of Flood, (http://www.the-junkyard.net/images/characters/halo/Flood_Human.jpg) Tyrannids (http://www.cloudmover.net/images/gamcardillos/cardswarhammer40k/pictures/tyranidgargoyles.jpg) and Xenoforms (http://www.3dvf.com/DATA/PUBLISH/1344/images/queen_AlienPress_still01.jpg), the Fiends tear across the outer reaches of the empire, the death of the Templar's their only thought. Leader: The Tomb Mind

The Corrupted: Kalism was the only allowed religion in the Void, yes, but faith is stronger than any law. A number of underground religions, ranging from the likes of Christianity and Judaism to worship of the Chaos Gods and the God's of Death have banded together, seeing their chance for victory, and steadily move to eliminate all those who oppose it. Leader: Disciple Grund

Map: Work in Progress, bear with me.

So, anybody interested?

Nation.

What happened to the other necro thread? Has it died?
No, no, it's still going. Just haven't done a large scale conflict RP in a while.

I am itching to do something with my Shade Lords. They devour the life forces of those they attack, so they could ally with the Fiends in their quest to destroy every living thing, offering assistance in return for plenty of souls.

Sorry that was my other account. But yes, the Shade Lords would help the Fiends in return for plenty of captives to devour souls from.

Sure, sounds good. Can always use more heartless soul eating monsters. ;)

Just a warning, the Shades are incredibly powerful, so would you like it if I only had a small presence with the Fiends? I don't want to ruin your rp.

Well... Use your best judgement. If they are superuber powerful, please only bring a few. Especially as the fiends are already ridiculously overpowered.

The Shades themselves will only be a handful, if even, and the ships will only be a couple, or one for that matter.

These shades sound like something that will serve as a good test for my Drones. Drones are by all means probably not as powerful, but they are a bitch to deal with.

I'll consider jumping in on this at some point, since the Imperium has devoted themselves to destroying anything that even remotely resembles the Outbreak (http://leonheart86.altervista.org/regs/immagini/resh_resurvivor_criatura_licker.jpg), which is what they would probably identify your Fiends as.
Telros
10-06-2008, 21:34
*smiles* Greywatch, you can do so. I warn you, the Shades are powerful because of what they can do and how only a few things can even hurt them. That's why I only have one or two in any battle or rp at a time, and I only use them against those who will live and run away or can fight them.

Well, since theres so many people joined up already, I reckon I should start the RP and leave this open for more people to join.

Well Telros, I might as well tell this to you now instead of in the RP, Drones have no souls or emotions. They have no flesh or blood, the best way of describing them is this: They are ghosts that have an actual physical presence. They are hive minded and cold, they possess many inhuman abilities, and when set to 'Genocide Protocol Rank 3,' they become just about anyone's worse nightmare to deal with.

Nice. My Shades are beings of negative energy whom everything living aroudn them dies. They cause the air to lose heat and get cold (can see breath, ice forms, etc etc), lights flicker and die when they're around, they're heavily psionic (attacking minds, throwing things, crushing things, etc), and can only be hurt by starvation, magic and holy things.

11-06-2008, 02:58
Nice, so they are essentially demons in every sense... or grim reapers... or... ooh, they sound like the Dementors from Harry Potter!! XD
Sorry, that just had to come out.
Telros
11-06-2008, 03:18
I get that a lot, don't worry.

Also, I don't mind toning them down for rp purposes normally. I am not out to try and LOL PWN everyone, just that is my idea for them. As I said, only one or two of them appear at one time anyways.

My Drones and your Shades need to have a battle royal at some point, I'm gonna hold you to that. XD
Telros

I am sure it would end with either the Shades getting bored and leaving, or with a stalemate of some kind. But sure, it'd be fun. ^^

Hmmmmm. Holey things as in crucifix or holey things as in blessed?
Telros

Yes. Not many people have them and I'd like if people didn't suddenly develop them. It's rather annoying.

Yes. Not many people have them and I'd like if people didn't suddenly develop them. It's rather annoying.

Yes as in Christian holy or yes as in anything considered blessed? I find that this might prove interesting, since my whole reasoning for jumping in on this is my nation's crusade to put down anything they considered damned. Not trying to jump under this Not many people have them and I'd like if people didn't suddenly develop them. demograph, but the Knights of Silverhammer (http://www.brokenfrontier.com/img/2007/jul/THOR_2_dellotto.jpg) are essentially palidans who wield powers that they consider to be holy and sacred as part of the Lorkhai faith. Would a few of them be fit to square up in a triple threat with the Drones and Shades?

More about their predecessors can be read about in the story link in my sig.
Telros
11-06-2008, 15:56
Oh no no, I don't mean I don't want people to HAVE them, just I don't want this.

Me: My Shade comes from the shadow on the wall and attacks

PLayer: My soldier pulls out a holy blade and-

Me: Wait, WHAT? Since when did your Turians have holy blades.

Player: *insert blatantly obvious reason for just adding it now*

Me: GRRR

Anyways, yes they would work To be fair, since not many are Christian, those who can prove to me that their mythology allows things to be blessed and work like Christian stuff in some way will be okay to hurt the Shades. And I do not mind if they enter a battle with the Shade and Drones. The more the merrier. ^^

Also, again, no one sudden developing mythologies, gods, and blessed things. Thank you.

Yes. Not many people have them and I'd like if people didn't suddenly develop them. It's rather annoying.

The onlt people who carry blessed weapons are my priests, who don't fight much, and regimental commanders, so your guys'll be fine there.

Alright I need to list this then:

Elden: Very very few of 'em, they possess 'magical' abilites aka Cryption. Essentially elemtal and universal manipulation, I'll explain that later.

Humans: Tech based, they use many different warriors, typical soldiers, machines, and demons of their own (Drones are sub demon). Humans are decendants of the Elden and some (very few) possess cryptic abilites. Light-Heavy armor.

Leanorian: Also Elden decendants, demon hunters, they're like humans 'cept where we evolved from apes, they evolved from 'lions' or lion like beings. SO their kinda like anthro lions/lionesses that have more cryptic abilites (Light based) and 'holy-ish' weapons. Light armor.

Kiixori: Insectoid race, aggressive, various sizes and classes, they like light (as in weight wise) weapons which fire quickly and they attack en masse. They have hard exoskeletons and wear little to no armor.

Dragon-kin: Bioweapon created by humans, they are komoto dragon/human hybrids and they come with all the lovely traits. Stronger, poisonous saliva (at lest the warrior one's have that), they eat corpses, their aggressive in battle, they aren't cold-blooded (for whatever reason), and they're a little slower. They love heavy armor and heavy weapons, gatling guns, plasma cannon, AP rifles... all that good stuff.

Xarniosi: Believed to once be human, they are now flesh underneath but their skin is a thick and dense armor. They build weapons onto their bodies and are exceptionally strong in combat, they love heavy weapons and are like walking tanks amoung men. Young ones have flesh but as they grow their skin begins absorbing minerals around them and slowly becomes armored.

That's all the races of my Empire so far in a nutshell. Took me some time to come up with all of 'em.

Right, well the only holey items i can really justify brinding in are generaly just phykikly charged weapons with ammo blessed by priests of Sha'ur, that do?

If you want a full list of my 'Gods' then look at this linky (http://www.freewebs.com/isisalliance/forums.htm?forumID=2057185&page=1&topicID=1129630)!!! Oh an I tend to have heavy weapons that fire solid rounds with energy around them, theres a special deamon fighting substance called the breath of Deces. Its mentioned in the link above and when they see the shadow apearance of your people they will proboly comision it 'cause, well, they ARE kinda deamonic in apearnace.

I'll be joining the loyalists with the New Tyranians. This comprises of Chupakabras and Ramnai. Basicly, most of their weapons are from dead enemys or given in exchange for mercinary work, although they have started to make their own weapons with the dawn of space travel within the last few 100 years.
Also, because i love aliens, im gonna post their basic apperence, but you don't have to read it if ya dont wanna, but you may get shocked if you cut a Ramnai and he heals it in my post so, dont say i didnt warn ya!

Ramnai:The Ramnas can quickly heal themselves, and if a limb is lost it can be re-grown after about 20-70 minutes. They have very thin and strong bones, which can re-grow and repair very quickly. Because of this, Ramnai are very agile. Their hands have 3 fingers and 2 thumbs, one on either side of the hand; their feet have 3 toes in the middle and a large one facing out to the side, on the side of the foot. All toes and fingers can push out sharp and thick bones to act as claw [this does not hinder toe and finger re-growth as the claw part is re-grown after]. Number of limbs for their race varies, as the more time and more well cared for during their life in the womb allows more time and energy to grow. On a typical Ramnai, they have 4 arms and 3 legs [two at the font in the middle back], one head [few children are born with more as it takes many years for extra to grow].

Their body is like a human’s for the torso but the lower part curves backwards [like a centaur] for room of extra legs. They have 2 hearts and 6 lungs all other organs are like a humans. A tail that acts like a dogs, only they have more control over it [again more tails can exist but generally one or two, length may also vary, generally only 6 inches].

There running speed is 45 mph and can do so for a good few hours in need be. They have the average strength of 3 average men. They stand 6 foot tall on average.

Chupakabras: four legs, the front two are like claws while back two more like hooves. Two arms, normal, while generally rather musceled. A finally a longish strong tail [like an Aliens but not black]. Wings with spikes on their tips just incase with a wingspan of about 6 foot. On all fours they stand about 6 and a half feet, on hide legs that is nearly doubled. (I have lost my original decribtion for these guys so, this will that to do)
