OOC: nation species
Yes, species. i would have thought the answer was obvious- human- but other nations' examples have challenged that viewpoint, so I might as well see which group dominates your nation.

Mine are humans with unusual traits, through propoganda, they are visiously loyal to the government and support it no matter what it does, when it says jump, altogether, in one big chorus they reply how high?!
I have some 'normal' humans, but these tend to be in the far raches of my nation where propoganda has not yet reached!

Because I don't want to make Darwin and Mendel roll over in their graves, only humans exist in my nation.

My nation is mainly supposed to be a futuristic one that has four different species. Human, two could be considered 'anthro,' and the other one could be considered, 'human with unusual traits.' In modern time RPs, human.

'Dominant' isn't the right word to use for my civilization, since my mingled races are too dependant on each other now to consider the word 'dominant' at all. Such consideration of thoughts are too uncivilized for my citizens anyway. That plus trying to consider my ancient Terrans 'superior', compared to the Ascendants they are allied with, is just plain ridiculous.
My nation wouldn't have become so large, if such ancient anchors were adhered to anyway. If anything, mild of note to impart this, would be technology level, that would be of the same tone here, for my civilization. =^^=
Kellun is a mixed nation. Most of the population (over 99%) is made up of a roughly 50-50 split between run-of-the-mill humans and 'anthros'. Some unusual specimens exist within both groups, but make up a tiny minority of the nations citizens.
Humans and Homo neanderthalensis. Neanderthals make up about 15% of the total Urcean Imperial population.
They have the same physicals traits as real neanderthals but evolution has caused them to have about the same mental capacity as the normal human.

I have to give you Congratulations for your originality. Because it's very rare to find NSes where non-human doesn't mean something with fur and tail, or with Spock ears.
Even though, technically a Neanderthal could be classified as another type of human. Still it's quite different from the usual.

I sometimes RP abhumans though Romandeos is about 95% human dominated.
I don't see why some people get so upset about such ideas. If you don't like RPing abhumans in the nation you run, then, just don't, but don't bug players interested in doing so.
I would also like to compliment you, Urcea. That's refreshing.

We're obsessively Human. Anthros are slaughtered like pigs, and semi-humans are dehumanized and permitted to be killed without any legal punishment.
MT? Pure human. I generally either don't recognize the existence of any other sentients (the standard pretend it's a human approach), or if I do they're generally afforded the same rights as your average squirrel.
FTly, however, Otagia's composed primarily of humans, with the addition of Rhunate immigrants (think a four meter long psychic sadomasochistic man-eating lizard), Ripleys (sentient [albeit completely baseline otherwise] dogs), psychotic otter beings with an unhealthy fixation on practical jokes whose name I can't remember, and a variety of other minorities who immigrated from some ally or another. I have, however, transfered my xenophobia to cover anything that's not a Citizen instead of everything not a hunam.
I'd also like to just put in a mention that the most recent of non-humans of the homo genus, homo floresiensis, are sometimes spotted. Although uncontacted, these strange little creatures live, generally, outside of civilization.

It's mainly because of The Grand World Order that there is such a scattered non-human population. When the genocide started everyone was either
A: Trying to rescue the population
B: Looking the other way.
C: Trying to 'rescue' the population (To use as experiments or slaves)
D: killing off all of their Non Humans as well because it's the "In" thing to do.
E: Plotting invasion of the Genocider Nations in the name of Freedom.
F: Plotting rescue of the Genociders in the name of 'protecting sovergenity'.

You should have made multiple options possible. My nation has normal humans, humans that have reached the next step of human evolution (mainly psionic capability) and a sentient alien mammalianl race native to my lands called Lizasaurs.

My nation is entirely made up of super-evolved humans with 70 times the mental capacity of all currently living humans, all of whom have been genetically modified to support the government 100% no matter what, and who've also been altered to be stronger, faster, ad better than humans in all possible ways. And they have X-ray vision and can shoot heat-seeking missiles out of their rear ends! Moreover I have 15 billion of them because even though my population says only 1 billion I also beat and annexed two nations with 7 billion people so they're part of my population and if you accuse me of puppet wanking I'll throw large heavy objects at you. And my nation is entirely MT because all of this is technically possible in real life, just nobody's done it yet because RL nations are too small! P.S. I own you.
]disclaimer: not serious
My nation is comprised of both humans and anthro humans (neko kitsune etc)

Mostly humans, though non-humans are thought of as okay, too, as long as they don't throw their advantages/disadvantages in the faces of everyone around them... but hey, that's not a good idea for the humans, either.
All races are good as long as they're willing to fight to defend the protectorate and it's interests... though, being humanoid tends to help with handling Cerberan-made military stuff.

Humans are simple, weak, boring, unoriginal (even more so than 'furries' or 'anthos,' and personally just not interesting after their used in everything. Mixing it up is a good way to expand one's vision especially if you play FT RPs, not that humans aren't okay in those but seriously, if every other alien species in the universe was a 'human' more or less, that'd scare me shitless. For MT though, I don't mind using humans simply 'cause they're the designated norm.
And just 'cause you ignore something doesn't mean it's not there. ;)

In FT, anything goes.
In MT, humans ought to be the sole type. This is not lord of the rings. If someone insists on using nonhumans, I'll let them do it so long as it doesnt enhance their abilities. And "enhanced" humans gtfo

Our nation is all human, A Huge amount of effort was put into eradicating the Anthropomorphic population and it was successful.
The Grand Holy Empire of Imota's dominant species is homo sapiens (sapiens, yeah right).
My approach is to (semi) realistically portray a modern tech country in a world that has future tech and fantasy tech nations. While some anthromorphs and mages inevitably choose to settle in Imota, my lack of progress in integrating magic or far future technology into my country's industry and military means that, for most normal humans, the quality of life is very similar to that of a modern first world country, with the occasional anthromorph on the subway or magical spell gone awry.

Mine are vampires and werewolves but I keep them in their Human forms just to keep everyone happy.
Then I have the mutated Lynion's which were infected by a virus. It gave them up to eight tentacles but sometimes six on their backs and they have two coming out of their mouths. It makes them more absorbment to taking a jump from 25 metres high in the legs which keeps them alive but 30 and above can be injuries and death. The tentacles have a total length of 24 metres if they are stuck together in one big line.
Balrogga

I have three races in Balrogga.
Kythons - killing machines made of living liquid metal. They are mildly psionic and possess a communal mind. People are still trying to figure out these besties. Current total population - unknown.
Childer - uplifted species until they became a pure mind. They are imaterial beings of pure thought which are moderately psionic and act as crew, handlers for the Kythons, and servants to the Ta'Nar. They also share a communal mind. Current total population - 60 million
Ta'Nar - Interdimensional aliens that evolved long ago out of their bodies becomming beings of pure thought. They practice the art of Uplifting, or evolving lesser species to be civilized. They have an extremely long life span and are pure psions and they are rumored to also possess magic. They manipulate their surroundings with their psi the same way we use out bodies. They also possess a communial mind and modeled the Childer and Kythons upon their own when they created the other two species. Current Total Population - 6 million

FT: My peoples are Humans who evovlved away from earth. The planet they stemmed from came about at the same time as earth. For the most part they are human except that they average at 6 foot 3, all of them have a secondary heart, making every citizen exponetially fit, we are slightly less fragile than humans, and have greater natural night vision that of a human.
