Fifteen years ago, following the withdrawal of Chernobyl-Pripyat forces [think Soviet Invasion of Afghan] the already war torn nation of Adjikstan erupted in civil war. A war that would last 15 years. What remained of a modern nation was wiped out; power plants, water facilities and all things like that were destroyed. in a sense you could say it went back in time a hundred years. Now, the Shi'a led government had finally taken power, thus ending the civil war. President Hamid Ramyzan, a middle aged man who was very charismatic, united the country, urging people to return to religion, along with democracy.
