The Grand Vizer of DT finds it prudent to mention that hostilities have begun (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=558392).

A small delegation of oil executives stepped off their plane in Whiskeasy, and got into their cars to the Pepsi-Max Center. They arrived quickly.

The first man out was Jack Phoenixclaw, the Chairman of the Griffincrest Board of Directors. Behind him were a handful of other higher ups and the like. The entered into the meeting, and took their seats while waiting for the Argonians to arrive.

While we have yet to involve ourselves in this situation, we wish to request presence. We will be sending in Julian Wilburry, an 87 year old diplomat who is experience not just in law and government but in business and war as well, having served 42 years on the front line and having run four successful - and some considered ruthless - businesses.

He will be arriving without any guards or assistants.

OOC EDIT: This is only if this is still being held to address the Angonianss issue.

We do not believe this will see a peaceful resolution. Regardless, to receive the information on the event, we'll send a representative.

ALC Expeditionary Corps Lieutenant-Commander Simon Kergan, 26, with a platoon of his subordinates serving as bodyguards until entering the Center itself, will be sent to represent the company in this event.

They will be arriving by a fighter flight.
Please understand we're doing all of this only because we have no trust in any peaceful intents of the GC whatsoever.

The Whiskeasian goverment thinks it only a good idea to allow NO firearms or weapons inside the Pepsi-Max center at ANY time apart from Whiskeasian safety marshals. Delegates will be searched on entry. This is done in recent light of a certain delegate firing upon the opposite party during a peace conference. The Pepsi-Max center doesn't have the insurance for this or the equipment to dispose of blood stains.
Thanks in advance.

Director of The Pepsi-Max Diplomatic Center.

Jack and his people were awaiting the delegation to begin when they saw the ViZion delegate enter. Jack was quick to greet him. "So you are from ViZion eh? Thank you, your people are doing alot out there for my homeland" he said, extending his hand.

The Argonian delgate walked. He had on a fine wear, it looked like one of those togas from greek times. His tale swished about as he looked around the room. " I have finally arrived. I am ssorry for my latenesss. We needed to pick out the Zackarothian delgate, since the High leader is bussy. He said we are begin without him" he said before taking a seat himself.

" I am known as Dar Jee . I would like to begin by saying that with the recent offers of Solar energy and the such, we have no need for the oil, but we will not be giving to the ones known at Griffin Crest. We have have seen them wage wars, set fire to nations who hold this black substance. We will not feed a hungry monster so he may feast upon others"

Jack was clearly taken back by the creature as it spoke. Never in his life had he dreamed that he would ever be at a peace conference, sitting across from a six foot tall, talking reptile. He struggled to compose himself, coughed, and than spoke.

"Now, mister uh...Jee. We are both resonable men here, I am sure that we can come to some kind of an agreement over this oil. We are a major arms supplier to many nations, is there any possibility of an arms for oil deal here? We would even be willing to supply you with advisors to train your forces in how to use the weapons."

" You seek to buy us off with weapons we can't even use and have no use for? We do not wish to make any type of deal. The oil wells you want so badly will dry up in a short five years. that is how small they are. I have been told it would take more money to set up those drills and then deconstruct them then the profit would be off those wells. We are not a warrior race, we are not a modern race. We only wish for peace. The entire point of us looking for help was to see how the oil would effect us. And we have seen it. It not only pollutes the air, but the souls and minds of those who wish to claim it. I state once again, we will not be giving you any of these oil fields. You can try to take it from us but you will fail" Dar Jee said, staring at the human. He had hoped not all humans where greedy but these people where causing his hate for them to steadily grow.

" In all we just wish to left alone. We have entered International Poltics and have come out with a bitter taste"

Julian had a hardened, rather unwelcoming attitude that was well known by any who knew him or has ever met him. And Jack would find this out, too, as Julian looked at the man, looked at his hand, and back up. With a hardy Hmph he waited another few seconds before accepting the shake. "Hmm, yes. Well, we're not here to talk about that, are we?" he said, "When will we be starting?" he wondered aloud, not particularly directed at Jack or anyone else.

As Julian was sitting down, he looked up at Argonian delegate and looked down, but then, after his mind clicked telling him what he thought he just saw, he looked up for a double take. Ahh, what the fuck is this? Some god damn hippie costume party? Damn crazy world this is becoming. Fuckin' hippies. he thought to himself, clearly a little shocked. And cranky.

Then he listened to Jack make an offer to the Argonian delegate, and stood up, walking over. "Or how about leaving the damn... thing alone." he said, his eyes twitching over towards the Argonian delate. "You got enough oil already. You're the reason I was called out here. Ever heard of the damn supply and demand concept? You guys run a business. Forget getting the oil from them, call it good, jack up your prices, make more money under the guise of being limited on supply since you were not able to get the oil from the damn hippies. Then we all win and we can go home!" he said gruffly. "It's called business. You loose a supplier that 'limits' your production, and the supply isn't able to match the demand as easily. Besides, we dont use oil in ViZion so I dont care how high you set your prices. Sound good? Because then we can all go home and the three of us - the reptile hippie over here, you the imperialistic damn bastards, and me - can be happy."

(OOC: I just lost a long post. Balls. I'll summarize:)

The Grand Vizor of Deserted Territories Strode flambouyanly into the room, his full length, dark purple cape with 5 inch collar and his pointed black moustache completed his comically evil appearance. He was an asshole and everybody knew it. Most of the DT higher-ups despised him and hoped for the Sultan to return and throw this asshat off the throne.

He sat at the table without acknowledging the still standing Julian or even looking at his ally Jack, who he hadn't ever bothered to meet since taking power. Without any outward signs of distress at Jee's appearance he began talking:
"I'm sure Jack has already made you and offer, but before you consider it I want you to understand our respective positions.

"We, the Corporate Alliance, would simply like to liberate you of the oil in your nation. Our enemies are telling you tales of our oppression and barbarism that are simply not true. We are a collection of respectable corporations and businesses that only wish to help you. You have no need for the oil and we are the quickest way to get rid of it. The Griffencrest corporation is the best out there when it comes to this and I can assure you that no one else will be able to free you of this burden faster or more effieciently.

"Also, in letting us condouct our operations without hinderance you will make a powerfull ally with connections in the business world that will ensure the presperity of your nation for years to come, especially with the cheap weapon manufaturing you would have access to through us. You could even join the CA if you wished too, we would be happy to have you.

"The thing to remember is that you have the power to stop the crisis that is now spiraling out of control. Let us into your fair country without delay, and we will relieve you of the oil and avoid a world war. In fact, if you agree to let drilling operations begin today, we will forgive the insolence of your newfound ally Shofercia and cease all hostilities against him. You could be doing a big favor for him, for right now, even if the war doesn't destroy his country it will leave it the battlefield where countless world powers converged on each other.

"You wish only for peace, and now you have the ability to not only attain peace for your country but peace abroad as well. Remember the power is in your hands. We are you friend and we offer you world peace. What will it be?"

Simon Kergan stood up.

"Muthsera Dar Jee, you have been subjected to some of the finest trickery of our race. I won't be hiding it: we, humans, are a race of habitual liars, and there is none in the world who doesn't use lies. Some do it out of instinct, and some, like our... relatives... from the Corporate Alliance, are true masters of lies. Don't be fooled by generous promises and loud speeches, and trust only the deeds.

Seamlessly mixing well veiled lies with obvious truths is the sign of great skill. The Grand visor or Deserted Territories spoke the truth about the oil crisis, which is spiraling out of control. But who created it in the first place? The monopoly-seeking conglomerate of the CA! By controlling oil prices, they manipulate the world to buy gas-guzzling cars, to neglect the development of alternate energy sources and carriers, and then rip off the oil-dependent economies, just like drug dealers.

The oil crisis you see is nothing but an artificial construct. Our nation, as well as our friends in ViZion, have achieved oil independence through modern, clean, efficient technology. We don't line up at gas pumps, our skies are clear from smog, and our streets aren't filled with toxic fumes. And all of this was reached without much effort, just because we lost access to cheap oil.
Don't follow the lies suggesting that you would help the crisis, because your help would be like that of the drug dealer.

Don't give in to the threats either. The only reason CA is in this negotiations is because a superior force has noticed this filth and intends to do some housekeeping. The war you see now is an indication that it's only a matter of time before CA is eliminated completely - and you'll see that no one will regret the loss.
And do not fear the invasion. We give you our promise that, should CA invade you anytime soon, we'll make the offending nation or corporation pay for it."

"Regardless of who started this conflict," the Vizor raised his voice to call attention to him again, "only one thing can stop it now." He paused, turning towards Jee, "And that is your word on the matter. I am not here to manipulate you, only to offer this simple peace arrangement that you will take credit for."

" If we give you the oil then there will only be other Shofercia like nations crushed under your heel. We will not give into this. We stand by the words of those who are against you. You ignited a war in against you. Our allies will stand with us. You can attempt to scare us all you want, try to lure us with false promises of peace and support but we shall not cave in. In essence this meeting is over. You shall be getting none of our oil and if you will try to invade us for it, you shall be wasting the lives of your people needlessly" Dar Jee said confdiently. He did not need the Zackaroth delegate to back him. He thought he was doing fine on his own.

"No, sir. It will not be the lives of our men that will be sacrificed needlessly. It will be the lives of your citizens and those of your allies that will be taken in this conflict.

"You claim to side with peace, yet you continue to escalate the situation when you are the only one with the power to stop it. If that is all, then good day."

And with that and the swish of his came the Vizor left.

"Listen, you seem like a resonable...uh...creature? Let's try and find some way that we can both come out with smiles, k? What do you want for these fields, I am sure there is something that you want that we could provide, and that way, nobody has to die, so what is it?" Jack said. He thought this entire situation was ridiculous. The Argonian claimed to be such a peaceful man, but he was turning down all attempts at achieving it.
