Dictatorships
Speaking as leader of a fairly liberal country, i propose in the interests of democracy that all free nations of the world condemm all dictatorships.
I am not trying to stir up anger, but I truly belive in this.
I urge all free and democratic nations to unite.
No. (OOC: Hey, at least i bumped your thread)
OOC:
Where's Alfegos's post on annoying newbs? I want to copy 'n' paste...
Three sentences for you.
Read the Stickies
Take Examples of 'How To' From More Experienced Players
Read the Stickies Again for Good Measure
really, really, really sorry. Wont happen again
ooc: look, if you're so eager to end dictatorships, start declaring lots of wars and planning assassinations. this was just- no offense or anything- plain stupid. and your first two threads were basically the same thing, try not to do that
Deata, that was just plain rude, the guy shows at least some capability to learn, and that's about a million as much as many n00k n00bs.
Frunt dude, Antigr pretty much said it all, the stickies are your bible on this website, your response might be different to some, who manage to read the stickies and suddenly become writing gods, when I read them they confused the hell out of me, the best place to learn is by sticking out your neck and slowly becoming accustomed to this place, of all the internet play by post websites I've been on (and trust me, there have been a great many) this one is by far the nicest and most addictive.
IndentI'd also recomend some threads, the wars between GASN and CA were pretty good for what you were just then planning, it was essentially a war against dictators, specifically look at the GASN, they were a liberal order of nations but lacked a militant extension, read some of the threads by Automagfreek and Kraven, these are the big nasties on II (or at least they were last time I was here.) and a great source for aspiration.
IndentI'm unsure how military savvy you are, when I joined I was pathetic at organising a military campaign in game, Equipment will be the hardest to learn, scan the pages on Wikipedia, look for vehicles which best suit your role, if there's something you feel that the real world is lacking, head to the NS Draftroom, they have some pretty tasty beasties up on there, for military tactics, etc, you're gonna have to go more off Internet, I learned a lot from the Band of Brothers series, watch that, if not for the military tactics then just for the awesome epic of it, also watch Red Dawn, a concise encyclopedia of how to wage an insurgent war.
IndentLastly, don't be afraid to ask, we all want as many players with whom we can share this game, so we'll not specifically hinder a person in becoming more accustomed to this game.
I could reccomend stuff as well. It's nice to see an eagerness to learn, that shows the makings of a good RPer. I had to learn the hard way as well, you know.
I was in the GASN, currently in the ADAN.
I've had a long membership of the DC 'til it disbanded, I don't know why. The GASN did too...
I've also had mind-wanderings with the IDF, CA, etc.
Do you mind me rambling? It's nice to ramble like an old man once in a while.
Aksoem, for 14 posts, you seem to have caught on well. Or are you some older bloke who's died and reincarnated?

Formerly Toopoxia, I get bored easily and ended up with an army of around 40 puppets, I got frustrated with it all and quit, I've come back though, remember me saying it was addictive :P

Piss off. Oh, by the way, I lead a Fascist Dictatorship that likes to make shishkabobs out of the heads of leaders of liberal nations like yours. And since we practice a bit of Socialism, we're apparantly Nazis, too. And there's not a damn thing you can do about it but sit there blubbering on about how dictatorships are evil.
If you attempt to invade any nation (Besides a Communist one) strictly because of their status as a Totalitarian State, I will personally see to it that your head is mounted on my office's walls while your body hangs upside down in Magna Polis, decomposing as the birds choke on your disgusting and rotten flesh. Such scum like you are the ones holding the human race behind.
((OOC: There are too many dictatorships to destroy here in International Incidents. There may appear to be more democracies, but dictatorships USUALLY have much more powerful militaries than a democratic nation of the same size. I advise you to read the stickies before going off and declaring war. Who you declare war on is beyond me, but remember; what GRIFFITH-II said up there is true.))

[OOC: If you want to go idealistic, learn to conduct wars first. Draftroom is a good place to get some ideas, but it's also full of elitists who think their way is best and don't budge.
The stickies are also good places to learn basic tactics (it's where I went, before I decided I needed to learn more) so... it's basically up to you.
Of course, for practical skills you'll want to wargame with someone. Find someone who can put in as much time as you can to keep it running smoothly.].

(OOC: NSD isn't like that, and don't throw such unnecessary vitriol against it. It is just that ideas are criticized there, so it is not for those who just want to have things their way no matter how ridiculous (http://www.reall.org/newsletter/v08/n04/reall-news-v08-n04.pdf) such way is and who aren't willing to change their style of RPing and fictional designing, nor it is for people who just want to design stuff solely for the techwank (although some still manage to discreetly do such thing there).
NSD is not for those who think MT warfare is analogous in sense to something like:
The Rhodesian government condemned Lenshina’s witch eradication program, and intervened with the army. Lenshina told her disciples not to fear soldiers’ bullets because she would turn them to water with her magic.
And who are not willing to accept suggestions and criticisms to RP in accordance to proper realism instead of just copy pasting RTS tactics and doing invasions like a Starcraft player does ZERG RUSH KEKEKE ^_^ among similar stuff so common in these forums)
