Concerning the matter of another Hegemon in the Council thread...

Who would we vote for anyway-besides Lord Sumguy? What's the point? LS has a stranglehold on the position in my opinion-in a good way. Who else would we want?

It's Vice-Hegemon, not Hegemon. Not that VH really does anything.

Besides, LS is clearly a hypocrite. The character LS, that is.

Saying he wants freedom and democracy, yet by imperialistically intervening in other nations. He would probably invade me if I had a referandum that gave 100% support for the govt. being changed to an absolute monarchy. Yet at the same time, he's the dictator of the Hegemony, and everyone knows it. In this way, he reminds me of GWB.

He's also a fascist. In the last "election" for Emperor, there were three choices. One was a nazi, another was a commie, and the last was LS. Unfortunately for LS the country, LS is actually just both, but better disguised. Hypocritical.

Plus, he has no redeeming characteristics for all the "goodness" he has. He's completely unrealistic, never having a single thought of ill will. It takes some pretty bad writing to come up with such a lopsided character.

Perhaps you dont remember that LS is the founder of a paramilitary religious organization, and could be convicted of murder (he killed several criminals in his youth) but for a lack of evidence. i should think that that is sufficiently "redeeming." You could perhaps also look at him as a character within non-diplomatic RP's of mine, he is far less than ideal. Besides, being morally upright may be rare, but is not unrealistic, and I thought it would be interesting to RP a character that is almost ideal but for a few huge flaws. You will find that when it comes to characters, i deal in extremes. As for his politics, he is libertarian, always advocating greater political, civil, and economic freedom withinj the Hegemony and Holy Empire. If he were fascist or communist, my nation wouldnt have the totally free press, 0% tax rate, booming and free economy, or extensive civil rights that it enjoys.

That election was quite some time ago when I was far less of an RP'er, and they were but the three frontrunners of more than a dozen candidates. There have been six elections since then, I just havent openly RP'ed them.

ok then, I regret that you dislike me, but with no explanation find myself unable to improve or change so that you may be able to at least tolerate me. It's too bad, 'cause I always kinda liked you. However, I would prefer if you addressed such a problem by talking to me, not insulting my RP ability and characters.

why, I had to have a starting point, of course. At the time I was taking any help i could get. Now that we are strong enough to satisdfy me, I am making reforms.
