The Federal Government passed into law early this morning the banning of Christmas, after a near-unanimous vote in both the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate, as well as counting with the support of all the Governors. Law 328.932.073: "Regulates the anti-patriotic activities associated with the Marxist-Leninist festival of Christmas, occurring each year in late December". The rather extensive text goes on to prohibit any sort of meeting related to the infamous rounds of yearly gatherings. Law enforcement agencies now have the right to break up any reunion which is seen as "being a means for the indoctrination of our children". The policy has been greeted with success and approval.

The "religious" festivals of late December have been uncovered, as it has long been suspected, to be a cover for the indoctrination of our youth into the ranks of the Marxist menace. Cruel old men, dressed as the mythical figure "Santa Claus", a bearded and grotesquely fat character, would frequent the areas of poor and unfortunate children, luring them with toys if they pledged their loyalty to the Communist Party. This has long been practiced, in an almost mocking manner, by communist cells within our nation. Once the innocent children were given toys, food, or even monetary "aid", they were taken away in unmarked trucks to remote locations. There, they were processed and sent to training camps, sometimes overseas, where they were supposed to await the "soon-coming revolution". Thankfully, our intelligence agencies have been able to crack this nefarious ring of lies and deceit, and have paid a great service to our nations children.

-A Flurry of Arrests and Detentions

A series of arrests have occurred all over the nation since early last night in anticipation of the passing of the law. The Federal Police has also reported that detentions and arrests have happened as well in overseas territories of the Republic, such as Rio Negro and Lafonia. Police motorized vehicles have been moving to and fro transporting the criminals to specialized inspection areas. A judge specially appointed to the matter has issued a statement wherein he declares that: "all of those found guilty by a just court of law are likely to be moved to a sand or ice mining camp for at least a couple of decades". He went on to state that: "The crime of poisoning our children's minds is a horrible and disproportionately cruel one, undeserving to any sort of little creature". The Ministry of Justice has assured that the Marxist menace will be persecuted effectively and through any obstacles they tried to put in order to obstruct the law, such as impersonating religious associations. In the rounds of raids and arrests, several churches were hit, and much material was confiscated, a police source has also declared that several priests were arrested upon protesting the seizure of a statue of St. Nicholas. St. Nicholas has been linked to Leninist activities and the Government has asked the Catholic Church to cease preaching about his figure, and the Church has shown its inclination to cooperate with the Government.

-Celebration and Joy Amongst the Citizens

The declaration of Law 328.932.073 has been greeted with widespread support and declarations of approval towards the Government by both the citizenry in general and the academia. Popular demonstrations spontaneously happened in front of Federal agencies and offices, as well as police and other law enforcement agencies. The Law has been marked as a "Clear turning point in the fight against Marxist-Leninism, and one counting with the full support of the citizenry". However, Whilst celebrations occurred all over the country, mobs of people found their anger impossible to contain, and there have been several seriously injured people as clashes have broken out between protesters and accused individuals, as well as the police that tried to protect them. Early reports have also indicated a small number of dead. The vast majority of the popular response has been markedly positive, as people have chosen to celebrate this day in much more constructive ways, such as having a typical asado with family and friends.
