Friends, Allaneans, Freemen!

Our nation has just been attacked. As you know, already, Izhevskians had attacked Allanea by air. But what you do not know is that Lynionan troops had also participated in the recent combat engagements in our nation. Our ELINT personnel have overheard their requests for air support from the Lynionan fleet, and the bodies of several Lynionan werewolf troops were recovered on the site of battle.

As directed under the War Powers Act, we are automatically in a state of war with Lynion after their short-lived 'invasion' of Allanea. Even now we are deploying troops and attack battle groups towards their pathetic semblance of a nation. The following naval units are en route:

Carrier Battlegroups Coolidge, Jackson, Rockwell, Kitano, Victory and Despair are en route to Lynion already, and further, so are task forces Zealot, (http://z12.invisionfree.com/Allanea/php?showtopic=4&view=findpost&p=6741006), Liberator (http://z12.invisionfree.com/Allanea/index.php?showtopic=4&view=findpost&p=6743776), and Southern Pride (http://z12.invisionfree.com/Allanea/index.php?showtopic=4&view=findpost&p=6745894).

After hearing that an enemy task force was en-route to their position, the Kingdom of Lynion was about to come under attack and it was to be its first invasion. In desperation, it pleded with several pirate groups and on a special argeement, they formed an alliance with six pirate groups which numbered close to 18,000 in men and 200 warships. They were thankful that the time had come for this. It was time to test their weapon that had fended off invasion forces in their past to the test that would decide the fate of Lynion.

20 Super Artillery Cannons designed to sink carriers with a singal round with high powered SAM sites were placed on Code Red.

In the meanwhile, the Allanean ships stayed out of the range of the supercannon. The first strike would be landed by the Arsenal ships of Task Force Southern Pride.

An Arsenal ship, by definition, is a large ship, with most of its space dedicated to the carrying of VLS ship-to-ship missile cells – in this case, 500 rockets per ship, and a very limited amount of crewmen. The crews of the Arsenal ships set their targets – the 200 pirate ships – and left the ships altogether.

It was done so that all 10 ships launched their entire missile capacity at once, distributing 250 anti-ship missiles per pirate ship.

OOC: Hate to be a party pooper, but claiming coastal artillery that can sink carriers in one shot is probably closer to god-modding. Given the size of Allanea, what he's released is actually fairly tame. His orbital surveillance (a given, and part of his standard doctrine) would have watched your rendezvous, and IIRC his missiles are awfully long-ranged (>2500km)... so you really are up poo-poo creek.

In fighting Allanea, you are punching so far above your weight that you barely register on the same set of scales.

You can use the IGNORE cannon... but it'd be pretty unsporting.

OOC: What am I godmodding? Two things are considered a godmod in NS. Claiming forces far too large or powerful that could exist with the size of your nation or your tech level [this is generally out of fashion] and claiming to decide what happens to the other guy. I have not done either of these.

You have claimed torpedoes that can deliver a company's worth of infantry [!], a nation of werewolves and tentacle-monsters that can take out my armed police with swords and their bare hands, and I have not said anything about it.

Further, I have acted on a clear IC motivation - you have attacked my country, fired cruise missiles at me and deployed your troops in my country. In-character actions have in-character consequences.

Now, it is true it is your right to ignore this post without any kind of justification, but IMO, that is not a good thing to do.

Further, my ships simply have not yet arrived close to your harbors. It'd be deranged to me to close in on your mainland before dealing with your navy, because even the poorest nations can afford some seriously efficient coastal defense. It'd be damn stupid to fight BOTH your coastal defenses and your navy at once.

I've never claimed they have arrived, and it'd be strange for them to magically teleport in range.

I've only ever won one thing and lost all the others. Rynibar Conflict was an Allied/RSFOR Forces win which I was involved.
