Hineve

The common heritage of my conservative Hineveyan people has always been Disco, pure and simple. It lends itself to our traditions of advancing Capitalism, of securing material prosperity while fostering creativity. But alas, this common heritage wanes. The scourge of pop music looms, festering and undermining our folk music. There is only one conclusion to be drawn: Disco must be revived before the evil of Pop supplants all that we know. We are trading away the old traditions of R&B and Disco for the emptiness of Pop and Kitsch.
Therefore I propose the creation of various cultural exchange programs to promote Hineveyan Disco and introduce its unique blend of R&B-influenced music to the world. We have a rich culture on which to draw on musically, and we would love it to share it with the broader world at large. We are not saying that the world should adopt Hineveyan Disco as some kind of national music tradition, only that it experience it. We know that Disco lives on, fighting for survival throughout the globe. Once we lose this common lineage, it can never be reclaimed. All we ask is that some small funds be contributed to the creation of programs within the countries that agree to the proposal. Together we can ensure the survival of Disco, so that we pass this cultural tradition to future generations rather than see our musical homogenized to death.
