Well, a little bit of an explanantion is required I suppose.

Firstly, I made the map because I thought that if the world looked like that and that those were the only multinational, international and/or supranational organizations that international politics would be a lot mor interesting.

Secondly, I wanted to roleplay the scenario of the world becoming like that. Obviously, it would take a few years which is why I called it Earth 2012.

Thirdly it says first 9 people only because there are 10 international organizations and I play one. Yes, we are operating o international organizations to keep it small and because none of them overlap.

Fourthly I assume Obama becomes president but George W. Bush screws the US before he's out of office. I don't care if it would never happen or whatever you all say.

Fifthly the Earth is in a massive cold war with no actual conflict except for China attempting to expand into the Union of Free Asian Countries.

Sixth, use RL populations and economies.

No need to ask. I'll post a list of what is and is not taken in the OP. Yes, Greal, you may be the European League.

Commonwealth of nations available?

Well, for one, this game is horrifically flawed in that it is based on mostly linguistic ties, rather than cultural and existing supernational confederations.

Personally: Heres what I'd do:

USA stays by itself... no Israel with it
There would be the commonwealth... but it would be only the UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand... or you do the UK and Canada as this seperate Northern Commonewealth and Australia and New Zealand as a Southern commonwealth

Now, there is no Francophonie or the IberoAmerican union... too based on linguistics. Now, the EU would stand, with its own foreign policy, but the British MEPs still stay.

Ukraine is getting too pro-US to be in the CIS... keep them and all the other Eastern European CIS members together, and yes, for convenience, lump Serbia with the EU too.

There would be a central American Union, stretching from Mexico to Panama, the Caribbean would be taken care of CARICOM

lets say that Israel and Palestine make peace, and a new, Mediterranean Union is still formed, stretching from Turkey to Western Sahara...

The Arab league would cover the rest of the Arabian pinnensula, and Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan and the Sudan.

The AU will have the rest of Sub-Saharan Africa, and with the UK to the EU, however the Au did not have the time to develop, so the North African nations do not have ministers of the African Parliament.

Greater China will exist, but Mongolia, and Bhutan will not be part of it (Nepal... with the Maoists, could work).

The East Asian States will be what it is with the rest of South East Asia the Philippines, South Korea and, Mongolia ... but Indonesia and that archipelagos will not be part of it. Myanmar, unless the monks revolt, will be part of Greater China.

India and Bhutan will be part of Greater India. Pakistan and Bangladesh, out of necessity, will be Greater Pakistan.

Also, there will be a Pacific Union, of the Pacific Island states.




Still, if this RP gets up, I'd like to be the USA

La Francophonie is based more on cultural ties than linguistic despite its name. Also, I just did this because I thought it would be interesting and I wanted to keep it small, ergo only 10 organizations.

Errr...Israel last time I checked was an ally of the US. The only remaining one after GWB messes it up in this Earth's timeline. As for the CN I think that well, quite simply the UK would want to fall back on India and Canada along with its South Australasia friends.

Francophonie is more cultural than linguistic. I lumped used the OIAS because it already exists and didn't overlapp the CN or LF.

The CIS exists in RL and Ukraine is a member.

Grouping these two along with a couple African and European nations together makes them stronger.

I was just thinking the US comes in and saves Israel from the Palestinians.

See, I started with the LF than the CN and then I realized that a Greater India would just be part of the Commowealth. I didn't research the Greater China. Most Pacific States are already part of the CN or LF or are Freely Assosciating States of the US.

Whoa....so you just go critiscizing this and then ask to join? OK, w/e but keep in mind Obama is president. I was thinking that the Pacific Islands of the US would become another state and Israel would just be an ally but I suppose it is in your hands if you want to join.

I'll be willing to take Greater China, though I would note that Vietnam would definitely not want to become allied with France after how it was treated for some two or three hundred years and how hard it fought the French and Americans for independence.

I would also note that Mongolia would not side with China, but with Russia, as they have been friendly with Russia far longer, and sided with the Soviet Union after the Sino-Soviet split. Mongolia and China = not friends. Just noting minor things, as Stoklomolvi did.

IRL Vietnam is part of LF ergo it transfers over to here.
The point is that China conquered its newly expanded territory and Mongolia isn't part of CIS so while Russia was busy in Chechnya China moved in to conquer it just like it did 50 years prior with Tibet.

Friendly with Russia much longer? They conquered China in the 1200s, were part of China during the 1700s or something, and was neutral until the Sino-Soviet Split. Several hundred years is greater than thirty.
