Hundreds of Iragian made An-225 transport planes began landing on the Griffincrest controlled islands in southern Arterus, and with them came hundreds more Mars light battle tanks, and thousands of Griffincrest mercenaries. These men all began setting up shop on the island, and began setting up more airstrips, allowing even more An-225's to land, delivering even more men and tanks. Mercenaries were running there drills up and down the runways, and seemingly overnight, the near desolate island had become a hotspot of military activity.
Not only were the An-225's arriving, but also arriving were massive groups of Hong-5 and even a handful of B-22 Zeus bombers. Just exactly what was going on here in Arterus was knowledge that was the priviledge of only a few, and one of these men was about to hop out the back of a plane.
Coordinator Faustus Whiteflower stepped out of the back of one of the massive An-225's, and immediately walked over to the engineer in charge of the operations on the island. "We are going to need to expand the ports on the island as well as the airstrips....how much longer before this could be done?"
"Not long sir, just perhaps a few more weeks" the engineer replied.
Faustus smiled, his mission would soon be complete. He walked into the headquarters that he had had constructed specifically for himself, took off his Lyran made "Dauntless" body armour, which he personally found uncomfortable, and sat down at his desk with a cigar. "Now...we wait" he thought to himself as he began going over his papers.
