A Little Bit of Piracy

OOC: I'll need an Earth nation or two to offer themselves as the landing site.

In the dark and cold of space,a desperate race was on. Pirate admiral James Morrigu directed his large fleet towards a wormhole, attempting to escape death. Admiral Baron Vyosk Larka of the Deatan Imperial Navy zoomed his destroyer-class fleet close behind him. they were gradually pulling closer, and the flagship's main guns were systematically picking off the smaller pirate ships in range. if a ship was disabled but not destroyed, a sweepercraft would swiftly deposit an asteroid-destroying bomb on the ship, which would destroy the disabled craft and frantic crew soon. Morrigu had originally been planning to capture those ships, but after his wife and young son had been killed by these scum, he was in no mood for mercy.

they were very far out now, farther than any navy member could remember going "on business" in years. suddenly, both sides cut their rapidly overheating hyperdrives, and they found themselves next to a small blue planet listed on the map as Earth. the pirates suddenly pulled into the atmosphere, and the navy followed.

OOC: is this an MT/FT crossover?
Deata

Basically. The earth nation can be FT if they want, but I'd prefer MT, to make things more interesting.

OOC: OK, we'll be landing now. Correct me if I make any serious detail mistakes.

Both fleets zoomed over the surface, firing madly at each other. The map said they were now over the nation of Chernobyl-Pripyat. if the marines had had the time, they would have laughed at the notion of politically dividing a planet into many fragments.

The pirate fleet flew into a city labeled as the capital, causing much structural damage as they went, and firing at random targets, killing civilians. Morrigu commanded his ships to land, and they did so, flattening everything underneath. All guns were now extended. Morrigu signaled the Admiral.

"Larka, if you don't stop attacking now, I'll order this town to be killed off in the fighting and the townsfolk to be imprisoned, tortured, and then killed- raped first, if they're attractive females," he sneered. "Now be a good boy, and let's go talk with the nice man running this place without any violence. Pirate's honor." Admiral Larka didn't believe that pirates had honor, but from what he had heard Morrigu was actually strict about promises made using that oath.

"Fine!" he spat. Both left acting commanders and some orders and exited the ships with some officials and soldiers/bodyguards. Morrigu casually walked up to Larka and sarcastically shook his hand. Larka refrained from backslapping him across the face and contented himself with a grimace. Both then turned to the government buildings they could see and waited, weapons poised to frustrate trigger-happy security forces.

ooc: Well i am MT with a bit of PMT (like government hidden)

IC:

Above Mokan Air space the remaining orbital fighter fleet guarded few Mokan space stations. To get an idea of what truly floated over the average Mokan's head you had to have quite a security clearance, besides the obvious satellites orbiting by the hundreds you also had the MSS Genisis, the largest orbital undertaking in terms of cost and size in Mokan history, scheduled to be complete in 2015 the large behemoth of a station housed a greenhouse, water recycling plant, science research centers and a military station for Mark two orbital fighters. While the Mark one was designed to take off from earth and return to earth the Mark two removed the need for large "in atmosphere" engines and relied solely on the already large Ion Drive.

Either way, four Mark ones were floating above Mokan soil when their IR scanners picked up something from the blackness of space, unsure of what to do about it they radioed the object back to the Genesis and waited to see what happened, each one had two 30mm coilguns armed with HE shells. Capable of firing a shot every thirty seconds, or every 15 seconds per fighter.

OOC: I hate to say it, but I am pretty sure that counts as godmodding to say you flew over and damaged much of the city. Much less getting landed without even allowing CP to RP his notice of you coming in.

ooc: yeah, sorry, but huge flagships just barely pulling out of hyperspace and suddenly landing in the city and firing like crazy would cause some damage. if it's any compensation, the ships were rather badly damaged too. Anyway, now we're waiting for him.

The personnel at the military base were scurrying about. A number of what were described as something similar to the ships from the movie Alien had appeared out of nowhere and crash landed in Chernobyl. Due to the sensitivity of the location, several tank Guards Devisions were mobilized, along with a lot of soldiers. At the crash sites, Firefighters were looking for survivors of the buildings that had been knocked over, along with putting out fires. No one knows where they came from, but the mayor waited outside of his office..

MBSA HQ, Mokastana

"As you can see from these satellite images a large craft landed in the devolving country known as Chernobyl-Pripyat. We have an embassy located the capital where the "craft" landed, with ambassador William Salvador stuck in that mess. I believe we can use that to get some Elite units inside country. Already we have four Mark one Orbital Fighters on the way and another 10 taking off from the Wellovian MBSA Air base. We will keep orbit clear of any more unwelcome things or at least try our best. However given that this is non-terrestrial, I believe it is our best interest to get there ASAP.

However as you can see from the folders, while Chernobyl-Pripyat is only 300 million people strong, they have a defense budget of nearly 30 percent. No doubt the nation has methods of preventing us from just rolling in. So we will have to play this one diplomatically. Any question?"

As the meeting continued on a message was sent to Chernobyl-Pripyat.

TO: Chernobyl-Pripyat
FROM: Mokastana

We understand some problems have occurred in your capital and our ambassador would like to leave, we need to have an emergency flight in nation to secure our nationals and get them home. Can you allow our forces in nation to relieve our people? It will only be an escort unit, however larger forces can be deployed if you request.

Throughout the city sirens could be heard. Some people thought the ChNPP had a melt down, but the local authorities had reassured everyone that it was fine. What did alarm everyone even more is that a Guards Division of tanks had shown up. They were the elite of the ground forces, usually deployed as spearheads in combat operations, equipped with the T-80UM2 "Black Eagle" tank.

With that they had the go. Mokan Jaguar Elites, specialized in Secret Actions were preparing for battle, donning their Dauntless' Ballistic Armour (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13691710&postcount=1) and loading their LY19 Light Machine Guns (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?p=13371209#post13371209) they were ready for hell and high water. A few were checking their M3 Weapons Systems (http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/ground/m3-maws.htm) to ensure that they had a round for every possible need. They were going to be flown in by long range Bear Bombers and parachute on to the LZ while the fleet brings in the 3rd Marine detachment. The Elite squad being sent in would be called "Ripley One." They would have access to the Mokan Orbital Bombardment systems, all weapons up to Tactical Nuclear strikes, which included kinetic Bunker buster bombardment, kinetic Anti-company Bombardment, and Kinetic city clearer strikes. However those were to be used only as a last resort, a very last resort. As the team's Plane took off towards the Russian nation the 20 men spoke amongst themselves, 5 spoke fluent Russian, and none of them preferred the cold.

OOC: Mokstana, what tech level are you?

Morrigu took out a small device and attached it to his throat, creating the effect of a megaphone.

'All right, everyone, calm down," he said. "we'd simply like to have a friendly chat with your leaders."

'And privately," added Larka. "For all of our sakes."

We can get the army to deploy a peace keeper force under the command of Generalissimo Durkin to get a large force in, our orbital weapons will be on stand by in case anything goes wrong. Nuclear detonation will only occur with your nations permission, or if the situation does not allow such communication, we will launch to minimize the loss of human life. If you have airfields we can begin airlifting divisions in nation to assist.

Meanwhile in nation the flight teams, after being cleared by local air command jumped from the planes into the LZ, the cold winter air rushed against them as the sky filled with smoke from the smoldering city. In the middle a huge object stuck out looking not human at all. They had three main objectives, one: secure the embassy, two: learn more about this non-terrestrial landing, three: contain it if hostile, and judging by the city it landed in, it was hostile.

Larka responded before his counterpart could make an even worse first impression.

"Navy Admiral from Deata," he said, pointing to himself. "Pirate," he gestured at Morrigu. "And neither of us is here too willingly, don't get me wrong. We would both rather have the other's fleet dead in space. As it is, he wants to negotiate, using you as mediators. I would have killed him anyway, but this is a relatively pretty city, and it would be rude of us to destroy it in the crossfire." He had seen to much death lately for those of strangers to bother him anymore.

Morrigu immediately replied, "My men and I want asylum here."

Larka was unable to cover his vehement stream of curses, but he at least had the discipline to not say them into the amplifier. When he finally recovered, he replied, "Hell no. I want him as my prisoner, or better yet, dead."

The teams slowly and used caution as they made it into the rubble of the city. Wearing white gear and no national markings they tried to hurry up before anyone spotted them, soon they would be only a few blocks from the embassy. Once their they could get everything set up.

Meanwhile the Mokan rapid reaction forces were now flying towards Chernobyl-Pripyat, leading the charge was the MBSA private army, specailist and scientist were coming in to begin the alanysis of the alien technology...

A techie on a ship noticed one of the screens. There was a large group coming in. of course, he would not be relating that to his piratical counterparts. Instead, he quietly alerted the commander, who told the guns to be ready, and the same for the communications posts.

"Come now, sir," said Morrigu quasi-pleasantly, "you wouldn't harm a guest, would you? Or a refugee?"

The Military airborne control centers watched the ships, no fire had been seen from them, it was almost as if a cease fire had been called.

Communication showed the commandos were in the embassy, and now moving closer to the craft...
