Demonic Rain Ravages Our Country. God Save Us.

Kendau DolDol was wandering through the savanna by his humble farm, looking for his son's lost dog.

"Disquite, you dumb dog, get out here!" He shouted, aggravated.

He sat down on a rock and muttered to himself angrily. Then, the rain started falling.

"Wonderful. A perfect way to ruin my day." He had no idea.

Laying in bed that night, unable to sleep, Kendau listened to the pattering of the rain upon his steel roof. Then a thunderclap that nearly threw him out of the bed rocked the Earth. That is when the changes started happening. The next day he found his lost dog laying in front of his house. Disquite's flesh was pockmarked and his fur matted with blood. His eyes were clawed out savagely. Kendau, heart racing, heard a small rustle behind him. He leaped into the air. It was a small rabbit.

"Oh thank god. Now how do I break this to Regah..."

He turned away from the rabbit, and into a large, furry chest. The beast grabbed him and wrenched his arms out of their sockets, rendering him limp at the shoulder. It then put him on the soft ground. Then the rain started again. It burned into his soft flesh and left him pockmarked and burnt, just as his dog was. The rain was doing strange things to this land, and Kendau's last conscious thought was that of hearing the rain pattering on his steel roof.

Regarding:

Demonic Rain in Southern Farmlands

Precisely 3 weeks ago, a torrential downpour began across our southern province. Nobody took much notice, as most people took it to be the first rain of harvest season. However, after a particularly loud thunderclap, the rain began doing strange things. It's physical properties included burning all but the toughest skin, as well as some soft materials (e.g. clay, wood). However, it seems that a small percentage of the beings inhabiting this area, including all birds, possess a partial immunity to these effects. However, in the case of humans, they are driven homicidally mad, and then enter a comatose state, dying shortly thereafter. The creatures, however, undergo unearthly changes...

The greying leader of the organization stood in front of them by a large screen waiting for everyone to settle down, once they were he began.
"Well, this is what we've got from Resqwandi. It looks pretty threatening, they don't know what's causing it, they don't know where it came from, all they know is that it is acidic and that it is killing or mutating everything inside it's zone of effect." Colonel Pipin stated as he stood before them and pointing at a map with his one working hand, (Other destroyed by a unknown incident)

"Sounds like a 'Nightmare Rain' sitiuation," said a Captain sitting in a chair on the long table.

"Reminds me of Acigoo," said another.

"Whatever it is, someone needs to find a way to take it down... As well as contain whatever 'things' this stuff is spawning."

"HECU?" said another person in the back.

"Get them ready to move, they can help set up a containment zone, if we're going to take the fight to those things however, we will need the Red Zone unit."

"I'll see what I can do."

Demonic Rain in Southern Farmlands

Our reigning lady, her most gracious Queen Vaela Dorn, offers assistance in your time of need. Our offices received similar complaints during the first few years after its initial founding. The cause was found to be mutagenic compounds released during the revolution which led to our freedom. We have several units that remain on quick response ready in case such an emergency rises once more within our borders. Our Queen offers you one such unit to aid in your containment and recovery.
One of our quick response Haz-Mat units consists of one geneticist, one biologist, one analytical specialist, four retrieval and containment specialists, and six of our elite Marines for security. We provide our own equipment to each unit, so your facilities would be alleviated of such concerns.

((OOC: For brief clarification, Vulpes Vixenis consists of anthropomorphic animals, originally created by humans as a slave labor force. As such, they are in FT standards for genetic knowledge and manipulation, however, otherwise they deal in MT. If this is unacceptable, I understand. I've been out of commission for a while and am eager to hop back into NS RP.))

RE: Evil Rain.

Now that we have identified ourselves more throughlly we can list what we have plans for.

We can ship 500 soldiers of the Hazardious Environment Combat Unit at once to deploy and aid in setting up a containment zone around the area, they are well trained in dealing with unusual situations and are quite capable. For actually entering the zone and finding the origin of this situation, we can deploy 50 Zone soldiers as well as 200 Scientists and other educated people.
Zone troopers are equipped with armor that not only protects them from many attacks, it also shields them from acid.

Department for Supernatural Events
Ministry of Secrets
Classified Location

A plain white room, exactly 2mx2mx2m, linked to a plain white corridor. Inside, a man sat on a plain white chair by a plain white desk, tapping on his white keyboard whilst looking at objects on the white-cased screen. He worked in one of the less-funded departments, even though funding had never been an issue for the Ministry. By now, the rest of the department probably had those holographic rod units, not that he liked them anyway.

He was the departmental news head, searching for supernatural events across the world, before placing them into three categories: urgent, possible and unlikely. The last two went to the researchers near to him in similar white cubicles, who would check whether such events were real or not. The Urgent pile stayed empty very often, reserved for things that were supernatural beyond reasonable doubt, and would require the department's intervention.

Right now, he was onto the first one in the last 3 months, after that event with the necromancer. Soon, he took his coffee break, leaving the event simmering in the urgent tray. Already though, the board was working.
_____________________________

The Head of Department had made a decision from this: with things occurring that could not be explained by anyone the Scientific Liaison officials had conferred with (a considerable number in the short space of time), they had decided to dispatch the departmental Research and Containment Team.

From an Alfegan aerodrome, a supersonic jet took off. Hours later, it was flying through the clouds towards the affected nation's airport, having dropped 3 sensor buoys into the morass of clouds. The results had been impossible to receive, the clouds apparently blocking electronic signals. Soon, with the only signals being those on the horizon, the craft touched down. From it came a group of 30 men, in teams of 6 riding inside 5 cars. One group of liaison officials, two groups of researchers and two groups of 'Containment' personnel. The jet stayed down, the crew sitting inside armed: the plane was to act as their mobile base of operations for the time being, until they could assert what was happening. One research team had already pulled off, using a series of tubes to collect the rainwater for automated analysis before driving off with the two containment teams: though looking like ordinary personnel, most were from the Department of Eugenics. Underneath their thick black coats they safely wore inside the rain-proof vehicle lay bodies engineered beyond what nature had intended: most did not even need the TASERNET pistols they carried underneath their jackets to stop a threat. In each team, two non-modified men sat amongst these larger killers: they were specialists in supernatural fields, being those who had defected from the two families to join their cause, to stop themselves meeting a rather sudden death. They were unique in being able to transfer energy from one area to another, with the power of their minds. To those on the receiving end, this entailed fireballs, freezing, electrical blasts, flying objects, blasts of wind and blinding lights. Nice, until you considered that each use of their powers meant that they'd loose body energy. To the point of unconsciousness and death in inexperienced members of the family.
One pair of vehicles was destined for the rural areas: they were to find the animals affected. Others were to go to the nearest hospital, to gain 'subjects' for testing. Not many would argue with 8 large men and 4 people who could pull fireballs out the air.

Greywatch Response

Our superiors have updated us on your situation and we are sending in a few agents to assess the situation. If the situation calls for it, expect very heavy Greywatch military presence in the near future. For now, expect five special agents to be flown in. They are already prepared and all we require is coordinates for where they should land.

End message

Meanwhile...

A special VTOL craft was being prepared for the agents trip into what sounded like a fast evolving hell. They were well trained and specially bred to handle strange situations. Their equiptment was quickly loaded on and the agents were told what they had to do, all they needed was the green light.

Greetings, Resqwandi. The GWO has had its fair share of paranormal incidents, and we know what it's like to deal with unknown menaces. We can ship 1,200 soldiers from various Agencies and Forces within the Department to gather data and combat the threat. Such agencies are:

-The Special Tactics Force Paranormal Reconnaisance Group
-The Federation Counter-Paranormal Combat Unit
-The Federation Biological Counter Measures Service
-The Federation Outbreak Containment Force

We are also intending to send teams of scientists in to fully find out everything there is to know about the crisis, ranging from chemicals found in the rain itself to the behaviors of those exposed to it.

If you wish to ask any questions, please feel free to do so. These troops are prepared to leave the second authorization is given.

South Lizasauria's secret service soon heard of this and dispatched their paranormal division known as the Y-files.

To Resqwandi:

Greetings, I am Assistant Director Butcher of the federal investigative organization whose name I am not supposed to speak of. We have heard of your en devour and you have our condolences or our nation has had it's share of paranormal attacks and incidents. There was the Bug War for example. The rest I can't share due to classification. I can ask permission from my superiors to send special forces that specialize in the paranormal to investigate and hopefully get to the bottom of this.

As Butcher was typeing agents Moldy and Boney walked in.

Moldy: You wanted to see us sir?

Butcher: Now listen you two, you've been getting into a lot of trouble lately and my superiors are sincerely thinking about shutting the Y-Files down. The federal council is still debating the matter. Nevertheless I have a case for you...*drops folder onto desk*

Moldy opened the folder and saw a Resqwandite with pockmarked skin and lacerations throughout his body.

*phone rings*

Butcher: *picks up phone* Is it about the request?....Yes sir....Yes sir... I understand...*hangs up*I have just recieved word that my request has been granted. I have ordered a the necessary paranormal and safety units to assist these people in cracking their case. You are among those I sent. Pack your bags and do a damn good job, the Y-Files maybe depending on you.

Boney: Necessary? I thought you didn't belie-

Butcher: Just go...

Both: Yes sir!
