The Civil war had raged for seven months between the Fascist RFF-UP and Liberal United Federal Republic of Zanski. Whole villages had been destroyed by either side, blood feuds between families had erupted onto the streets, and the war had seeped over into neighbouring Mhoudia. Over a hundred thousand ppeople had died, especially in the disputedly annexed Tur Kalavar province, where the Zansk settlers mostly supported RFF-UP but there was a great deal of UFRZ-secured land. Also there were etnic Calaveran seperatists.

But one day, in all the major cities in Zanski, a new force came into power.
The Takoa Kamonizni(Gharrakan for Commune Workers) or Takoa for short, rose up from obscurity and defeated RFF-UP in Xanka, Shuza, Paramus, Tumad, Ghollomo and Farrach. The UFRZ government regognised the Takoa and merged with it.

In Tur Kalavar the RFF-UP retreated to the capital New Paramus and a month-long siege was made there before the Takoa made a deal of uneasy peace in which RFF-UP could have control of Tur Kalavar but the Takoa would keep its soldiers there to protect the Calaverans there.


The new style of communism is where the land is divided into very small pieces and each piece or Commune can have its own laws and economy, but these would be in accordance with laws passed by the United Communes Parliament, Headed by new defacto president General Kalé Saluh

Given the rampart oppression of civil and economic freedoms that will undoubtedly be imposed by the radical communist Zanski government, as well as the riotous state of affairs within the nation itself, the King's Commonwealth has seen it fit to declare the rule of General Kalé Saluh illegal and has thus begun preparations for military action against government-aligned forces across the formerly sovereign nation of Tur Kalavar in support of the RFF-UP and other anti-communist factions, as these peoples are righteously attempting to survive the communistic scourge soon to fall over their land. Zanski’s continued oppression of the ethnic Muslims within the Province, especially as a result of the illegal annexation of Tur Kalavar without support from the nation’s government is a wrong which must be righted.

The Questarian Government, in support of its ally Willink and with the same aims and intentions, declares officially that we too, formally see General Kalé Saluh's Government as illegal and are preparing, in conjunctions with our allies, to remove his tyrannical and Communistic regime. God Save the King.

The necessary military units across the Empire - on active duty, due to their nature, began to prepare for action. In the wake of the P.M's recent speeches they had thought they would see action soon and they were indeed correct. Fast Naval Interdiction groups, with carriers and cruisers began the transit immediately after receiving the "PRESSING ORDERS..." signal and would dock at the nearest port to take on supplies en-route. Air Forces, as well as Royal Air Landing Forces and Royal Naval Special Landing Forces began preparations for landing after the Navy had cleared the way. The twelve heavy aircraft carriers and almost all other vessels in the ships assigned began combat drills the following day after a ceremonial full breakfast, a rare occurence in the Navy.

Three carrier battle groups and three amphibious groups were highlighed for the assault, and would meet together some 4,000km off the shores of Tur Kalavar after assembling at different locations and ports in approximately a week's time. Until then, the Royal Air Force planners were travelling to meet with their Willinkian equivalents to plan out a bombing campaign in anticipation of naval landings. It was the first intervention in Prime Minister Russell's "War on Communism" and had to be a success. As the P.M. announced his intention to overthrow the military dictatorship that had seized power under General Kalé Saluh, there was much celebration in the country, mixed with fear and hope that there would be as few Questarian and Willinkian casualties as possible.

It seemed that the speech (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=557813) that the Prime Minister had made was coming true after all - the words "here in our capital we can hear the voices of those who cry out for Freedom. We can hear you, and we are coming for you. Liberty will be enslaved no longer" were in the hearts and minds of many Questarians. This was seen as a moral crusade against Communist oppressors and would be reflected so in the newspapers and most other media.

"The Totalitarian State hereby condemns the atrocity of a government that has recently come too power in Zanski. We demand this government immediatly resign from power or they will meet the guns of the State Guard."

In Red Tide, mobilization orders were filtered down from the State Guard Command too the 7th Guards Field Army and the 4th Dreadnought Battlegroup, alongside some transport and supply ship flotilla's to get the ships to Zanski. In addition, multiple fighter and ground attack regiments of the State Aero Guard were put on stand-by.

All said, the Red Tidean Military would probably arrive later then the Questerian and Willink military, but not so late that Red Tide would not have the chance to grab some territory for its self. And that, was the heart of the matter, Red Tide was out for its own interest. Crushing Communism was just a bonus.

"Zanski, known to be in civil war between the right-wing RFF-UP and the ruling government. In recently released news, the Garrakan for Commune Workers, a far-left insurgency, has been noted to have gained extensive support in the country, and has militarily defeated the RFF-UP's forces.

"Latest information suggest that the ruling administration has in fact merged with the Garrakan under the leadership of "General" Kalé Saluh.

"The new regime has imposed some startling changes to the country, including extensive autonomy to the new "communes", allowing them to act as states in their own right, albeit on an extremely small-scale levels. How, or even if this works out remains to be seen.

"Today Questarian and Willinkian Foreign Ministries released seperate statements condemning the new regime. Both nations have shown themselves to be viciously anti-left wing, with "rampart oppression of civil and economic freedoms that will undoubtedly be imposed [by the new regime]" in the Willinkian statement being the key point.

"Both nations have reportedly begun readying forces for an invasion of Zanski. A Crown Government statement released just now has requested a diplomatic solution to the situation, noting that arms will lead to "yet more bloodshed of innocent peoples".

"In other news, the government has reportedly begun talks with..."
