The day was sunny, like many others in Throppe. Although the climate and geography had its differences from Orbath, it was actually quite similar. It was often very sunny, although when it rained, it often came without warning, coming quick and leaving just as quickly. Instead of dense jungle, like Orbath, it was more of a coniferous forest, and the entire nation seemed to be perched on rolling hills. Ella actually found she liked her surroundings in Throppe better than in Orbath. The jungles could be dangerous and although there was some danger in the forests, it was a lesser danger, meaning she could take hikes without needing an escort.

Today was the big day, her suitors from many different nations would be arriving but to what. She actually had little idea what had been planned. Her mother and father had chosen to keep it a secret and it had been bugging her for weeks. She didn't mind though, she knew her mother and father would plan something spectacular, they had always had a habit of doing so and with their prominent positions in society, it would be interesting to see what they would come up with.

There was one thing Ella knew she had to do though, she would be meeting her suitors at the airport, along with her father. Ella ate a rather quick breakfast, donned a white blouse, pinstriped suit jacket and skirt and stepped out into the fresh air, where she was sure her father, and escorts would be waiting.

Sure enough, the Viscount had donned a uniform. Back in Orbath it would typically be his naval officers uniform but since he was a Viscount, and second in command of the Royal Colonial Defense Forces, he was entitled to wear the RCDF uniform, which he did proudly. His cap brass and ''scrambled eggs'' shone brightly in the sun, matching his gold button, belt buckle and boots but most importantly, the medals which hung on his chest. His uniform was pressed carefully, with a solid crease down the front of his pant legs.

Ella stopped suddenly. The usual security detail was present, along with what looked like it could be a small military parade. In the front was a T-72 MBT, followed by several Yanitarian made SLT-31 Chevalier APCs, then several Lyran made Fox vehicles, several black SUVs and a black limousine, all decorated with Thop flags. The same appeared behind the limo, the vehicles lining the street, which appeared to have been blocked off.

This was like her father, he was trying to impress her suitors. She thought back to when she was a teen and he donned his naval uniform the day her first boyfriend came over for dinner. She stepped off the step and walked towards her father.

''I see you have stepped up security a bit'', she said, taking a playful jab at her father.

''You haven't seen anything yet,'' he responded, smiling.

As if on cue, Doomani made ACI.37 Corvus attack helicopters shot over the house, and as she looked up, they made a spectacular turn, hovering high enough overhead so as not to cause a disturbance to those on the ground.

''Come on, get in, we are going to be late.''

The climbed into the limousine which drove off, headed for Throppe International Airport, and old and very small airfield which had been completely re hauled, turning it into one of two international airports in the tiny nation. The drive was uneventful, although many had shown up along the city streets with flags, cheering as they went by. That was rather common though, the people had taken a liking to her family and especially her father. They drove onto a service road, through heavily guarded gates and onto the airfield themselves, their giant convoy parking alongside a runway. Her and the Viscount got out, eager to meet the new arrivals.

Xiahou spinned the fighter jet around once as he pulled the fighter into perfect position. The Sonic Dingo Class Fighter Jet soared overhead as he carefully watched the radar. The trip wasn't exciting like always nor was sitting around back home doing nothing all day. He looked around as he came rather close to the International Airport where he was meant to be arriving.

"Hey brother!" said a voice on the intercom. "Hows the flight being so far?"

"The flight was eventful. Shot down a pirate fighter and sunk a pirate flagship," replied Xiahou in a sarcastic voice.

"At least you're doing something!" replied the voice. "Just take your time and good luck with it,"

"Thanks Raymond," replied Xiahou. "See you in a month or three,"

Xiahou listened to the chorus of laughter on the other side as he turned off the long range intercom. He flew into the nation deeper as he went as he slowed down the speed before he increased it slightly. He listened to the local radio as he started to pick up the International Airport signal.

"This is Xiahou Jacobs of the Kingdom of Lynion. Requesting permission to land," Xiahou said into the intercom.

Xiahou gave a slight sigh as he quickly checked the radar again. There was mutliply heat signatures closing in on the airport. He pulled up a little more as he hoped he had reached the right airport unlike last time.

On the ground, Ella and Arnold both looked to the sky as a fighter jet danced among what very few clouds there were in the sky. Neither were sure if the jet contained a suitor, or were merely escort fighters. Both waited eagerly.

In the control tower, a message was broadcast to the jet.

''Permission granted, land on runway Alpha Three.''

Kennedy sat aboard his Tupolev Tu-444, en route to Throppe. Having recently solved a mysterious missile fiasco in a small nation named Kuba along the southern Stoklomolvi border, he and his small team were in high spirits. His personal pilot, Lee Harvey Oswald, PhD, detected an airport in Throppe, right where he was supposed to be. He called Kennedy over into the flight deck.

"Hey, Kennedy, we're going to land soon!"

"Excellent news. By the way, I cannot thank you enough for saving me from that terrorist who tried to shoot me from the grassy knoll the other day. If you missed by a mere millimetre, I would be dead."

"No problem. It's good to be patriotic!"

He then began to radio the airport. Kennedy looked out the front glass.

"This is Flight 18S-3 bound for Throppe International Airport, requesting permission to land."

[OOC: No, this is not a conspiracy theory :p .]

Arnold and Ella noticed that behind the fighter, a much larger aircraft, a Tupolev Tu-444 appeared from behind a cloud. Although Ella didn't recognize it, the Viscount did, having seen several, mostly ruined versions while in Cripistan.

Meanwhile in the control tower, a message was broad casted to the new arrival.

''Permission granted, land on runway Alpha Five.''

"Roger that, control."

Oswald piloted the craft to line up with Alpha Five, and soon touched down on the asphalt as dust and smoke spewed up from beneath the aircraft tyres. When the aircraft came to a complete stop, Kennedy straightened his tie and got ready to disembark.

It was too dangerous to travel across the runways yet, with so many aircraft landing all in close proximity at roughly the same time. Instead, the new arrivals would be brought to Ella. Luxury cars had been parked in certain hangers, allowing them access to the runways without having to cross others. A black 2008 SA Emperor pulled out from one of these hangers and drove down the runway, stopping near the Tu-144. The driver got out, opened the rear passenger door and stood, waiting for the arrivals to disembark from the aircraft.

"Copy that Ground Control," replied Xiahou.

Xiahou hovered over the runway as he positioned the jet to land close to what looked like a hanger. He carefully landed the jump-jet on the runway as he took off his headset and opened the cockpit. He removed the buckle as he stood out and stretch his legs. He was wearing his traditional air force uniform which was a red colour with a red slouch hat. He checked his uniform was straighten as a voice came over the intercom.

"Don't let her wait on you bro," said a voice.

Xiahou took the headset as he replied back. "Have fun in Lynion. Xiahou out,"

Xiahou turned off the intercom's and pushed a button which locks the cockpit and everything else to avoid a robbery of some kind. Xiahou jumped out again as he flatten his hat and walked towards a group as a transport plane had started to land.

'Don't freak her out,' he thought to himself.

Like a bat out of hell, another luxury vehicle emerged from the hanger the fighter had landed near. The driver noticed the man had begun to walk away from his aircraft and he stepped on the gas, pulling up alongside the man and breaking with extreme accuracy. He opened his door and walked over to the man.

''Sir, I am Agent Mark Wallace and on behalf of the nation of Throppe, the Right Honorable Viscount and Viscountess of Throppe and Ella Robertson of Throppe, I would like to welcome you to the nation of Throppe. I have been ordered to check with air traffic control and if the runways are clear, bring you to the awaiting convoy where you may meet the Viscount and Miss Robertson.''

The Agent pointed in the distance and the new arrival would likely be able to see Ella and Arnold standing in front of the over sized convoy. The Agent then opened the rear passenger door and waited for the man to introduce himself and then climb in.

Xiahou stopped and climbed into the awaiting vehicle. He watched as the agent closed the door behind him. He always wondered how they would react to him so he thought he might as well asked a simple question.

"What do you think of the Princess?" asked Xiahou to the agent as they drove along.
Orbath

The agent was taken completely off guard, it was something he certainly hadn't expected.

''If by princess you mean Ella, although I've provided close protection to her and her family many times, but I don' know her on a personal level.''

He paused for a second and continued,

''Although I don't know her personally, I have a high level of respect for her and her family. They are like a godsend, the things they have done for our nation... that is why I chose this job. I want to ensure nothing eve happens to them.''

There was a rather awkward silence for a moment, which was broken but the agent speaking again.

''Oh, although she holds a position similar to a princess in most other nations, she does not have a title, formally she is referred to as Ella Robertson of Throppe.''

The agent then used a cb radio, contacting the control tower to ensure they could cross the runways and head for the convoy. With the ok given, the car darted quickly across the runways, stopping in front of the convoy but more specifically, Ella and her father, now both beaming. A nearby soldier opened the rear passenger door, allowing the man to step out.

Ella was about to step forward and introduce her and her father, however, her father's military tradition kicked in and he stepped forward, stopping, then bringing his knee up to his hip and stomping it on the ground, rapidly adopting the position of attention, waiting for the new arrival to render a salute.

Xiahou stepped out of the car as the old man saluted him. He wasn't sure what was going as Lynion's rarely saluted each other except when talking to their king. Xiahou took his left hand, turned it into a fist and covered it with his right hand and bowed to him.

'Step aside pop,' Xiahou thought to himself.

"Hello sir," said Xiahou. "I'm Jaxson Xiahou Jacob,"

'Why does the father always step in line first?' Xiahou thought to himself.

"Hello sir," said Xiahou. "I'm Jaxson Xiahou Jacob,"

Arnold was a bit taken aback, it was unlike any salute he had ever seen. It mattered not though, the man had returned his salute and that was important. Ella stepped forward, out of her father's shadow.

''Hello Mr. Jacob, I am Ella Robertson of Throppe, and this is my father, General Arnold Robertson, Viscount of Throppe.''

She extended her hand to allow Jaxson to shake shake it. Ella and her father both studied the man, though quickly so as not to appear to be staring. Although the Viscount wouldn't yet admit it, he was impressed. The man bore a very well kept military uniform, was a pilot and by the looks of his flying, was a good one. Ella on the other hand was less interested in the man's uniform, though it made him look rather smart.

The car halted, near Kennedy and a man got out of the driver seat, approaching the man.

''Sir, I am Agent Mike Douglas and on behalf of the nation of Throppe, the Right Honorable Viscount and Viscountess of Throppe and Ella Robertson of Throppe, I would like to welcome you to the nation of Throppe. If you would please enter the vehicle, I can take you to meet Miss Robertson.''

From what I seen, they take the military very seriously, especially their drill and ceremonies. They believe it increases discipline, making the military a better fighting force. Believe it or not, during a military parade, a man was nearly killed by a soldier when he tried to desecrate the flag. Believe it or not, that is legal, the soldier actually showed restraint because he legally could have killed the man. I wouldn't worry though, seeing as your also a military man, he probably already likes you.''

RIS Contenance

The Red Star J-44 yacht was his own personal design. His improvements in lower hull construction made it conserve close to 40% on its energy consumption. At almost 200 ft, the luxury ship was Vladislav's latest achievement. Yet, for the 20 year old engineer, it was simply one more project done, which meant the start of another. That was why the helipad on the stern sported a radically redesigned CV-30 Vogel. Smaller than the production model, it's two F900 engines, another of his creations, powered the SVTOL aircraft with 20% higher efficiency than it's larger cousins. As the Contenance weighed anchor, Vladislav powered it up, the engines whining as they pivoted for vertical takeoff. Never one to have self-doubt, he chuckled as his assistant begged him to let the aircraft be piloted by a professional. But Vladislav had been a CSAR pilot in the Maritime Forces, and he knew all there was to know about vertical-lift flight. Rising to a cool 3,000 ft., he swiveled the engines into flight mode and roared towards Throppe.

"This is RS-5600, Vladislav Tikhomirov," he radioed as he neared the airport, "Requesting permission to land."

He released the hatch in the rear compartment, revealing the passenger that had come along for the ride. The Aston-Martin Vanquish peered ominously from the hold. The limousine featured bench seats around the exterior, with a black metallic looking table in the middle. Tube lighting wound around the roof and the base of the seats and table. Her father decided to play gracious host while Ella waited for the man's answer.

''Can I offer any of you a drink?''

"That depends mia principessa," Vladislav said courteously, "On whether or not you'd like to arrive quickly...or die of boredom," he said, turning his gaze at Sampson.

Xiahou looked around as he wondered how the blazes Ella will deal with everyone and give them all a fair go. He had heard the rev of a powerful car engine outside the limo, but it seems he might not have a chance this time.

"Do you have water?" replied Xiahou.

His mind was wondering that time, while trying to think of something. All he could really match the bloke outside was the Dingo and his war stories. But then Ella might be bored already from them.

OOC: Greal, the limo will be traveling to the family estate.

Ella was suddenly not impressed, she didn't look highly upon the way he appeared to be putting down Sampson. He hadn't minded his fancy driving skills, a little showing off was ok, but put downs were out of the question. She decided to teach the man a lesson in hopes he would smarten up. After all, she wanted Samson to feel welcome in Throppe too, not under constant harassment.

''Well your quite the speed demon, so how about you take your own car?''

Her voice was sharp, yet she spoke almost as though she was just being playful, forcing the man to wonder whether she was truly angry or just playing games.

She shut the limousine door, shuffling into her seat more comfortably. Slowly but surely, the convoy lurched forward, however, after the limousine, a spot was left, in case Mr. Tikhomirov wanted in or couldn't find his way.

Vladislav bowed in response, heading for his car. Vlad, boyo, don't forget the Sixth Oath he told himself. Always a good judge of character, he realized he had acted too boldly in his response. A person of noble birth was supposed to meet adversaries courteously, not quarrel like petty spearmen...

Shrugging it off as only his first penalty, Vladislav started up the Vanquish and followed after in quiet humility. He didn't even bother to turn on his radio, a vice of his (if it could be called thus) was listening to music as he drove, and he had even bought a new CD for the occasion. But he left it off, in his own subtle way showing he could be gracious and be humble.

Despite his earlier attempts at humility, Vladislav had to admit that he was a bit of a speed demon. She had pegged him well on that one, and the relative crawl of the limo was enough to unnerve him.

"Destination; Robertson estate," he told his onboard GPS. Within a minute, a route had been highlighted on a display screen. Signaling his departure, he gunned the engine, going around the limo and racing down the road. Vladislav took the turns expertly, shifting gears as he continued his ballistic drive. It didn't take him long to get to the estate, and he slowed down and entered the drive at a slow pace. He shut off the engine and waited for the others to catch up. While he was waiting, Vladislav picked up a scrap of wood he found on the ground. After studying it, he took out his utility knife and began whittling away.

"No drinks for me, I drank on the plane," Sampson said. "Would you like a cigar, Sir," he offered the cigar to Ella's father.

''Thank you, sir.''

The Viscount took the cigar, briefly admiring it. Samson had justed earned a point with Robertson. It appeared they both shared a love for fine cigars. He then pressed a button, causing the middle of the table to rise up, revealing many bottles of fine wine, liquors and other drinks, including a pitcher of water.

Although Vladislav's driving was certainly not legal, he was not pulled over. He did, after all, have diplomatic immunity, although technically he wasn't exempt from Throppe's laws. It was more or less an opportunity for the government to play favoritism, one of very few ways the government could be considered corrupt.

At the estate, large double oak doors opened behind Vladislav and an older woman dressed in a rather elegant, ''fancy ball'' style dress. She stepped down the steps, approaching Vladislav.

''If I didn't have something planned today, I would think you were a trespasser or a beggar, albeit a well dressed one,'' She laughed, yet in a regal, prim and proper sort of way.

''I'm Viscountess Paula Robertson of Throppe, am I wrong to assume you are a suitor?''

OOC: I've decided I'm going to use a point system, included at the end of every post, starting with my next. That way you can see how your suitor is doing. This is based on the opinions of the Viscount, Viscountess and Ella.

Kennedy sat in the limousine, staring out the window. He had nothing else to do, so he pulled out his favourite copy of the printed Stoklomolvi Wire Service from his coat pocket. He opened it, and on the front cover the words, "Stoklomolvi diplomacy triumphs in Communist-Capitalist War". While the headline was not entirely true, as it was a combination of efforts from both sides, negotiation with the capitalists had proved useful, and also created a scapegoat for the people in the form of the Ryou Black Islands, which nearly dragged Stoklomolvi into a massive nuclear conflict, which it was not ready to fight. As he continued to read the text, he sighed, wondering if such prestige could be gained in the future. It was prestige in his mind, at any rate. Most countries cared little for the war, and even fewer were involved. He put the newspaper away and watched the outside again.

She spoke with her prim and proper tone.

The limo had become quiet, a sort of awkward silence had fallen over it's occupants. The Viscount noted that Kennedy had taken out a newspaper. He noted the headline, "Stoklomolvi diplomacy triumphs in Communist-Capitalist War".

''Communist Capitalist war? Against who?'' Arnold asked, deeply interested. He was, after all, a former military general.

''Retired General actually, I hold the appointment of second in command of the Royal Colonial Defense Forces of Throppe, but I won't be expected to lead troops to battle anymore.''

He reminisced about his former days of glory, slightly saddened as he was reminded those days were over.

"Ah, the Communist-Capitalist War. A war fought by two nations who blindly followed ideologies and lived under the medieval belief that opposing ideologies must be crushed. 'Twas a fanciful war, it was. A war of the pen and paper, not of the gun and steel."

He took out the newspaper again. He opened it, and within were pictures of diplomats from the nation of Albalast, the instigator of the conflict, the Ryou Black Islands, the primary target and an aggressive nation, the United States of America [UnitedStatesofAmerica-], and Stoklomolvi. There were many others, but Kennedy could not make out the faded print and could not recall who they were. He pointed at the different diplomats.

"There's the fellow from the...Trade Federation, yes, the Trade Federation of Albalast. It long slipped into obscurity now. There's the fellow from the Ryou Black Islands. A harsh and aggressive man, he was, and was constantly flouting the nuclear weapons, or lack thereof, of his nation. Truly, the Ryou Black Islands was rather naïve, though they were the target of the initial Albalast...ian aggression."

He pointed at the American and Stoklomolvi diplomats.

"Those two remind me of the two squabbling states to the south of Stoklomolvi. I think those were...the Union of American States and the United Republics of Socialist Soviets. Ah, the constant debating and arguing was magnificent. Tensions constantly oscillated and eventually, the original American plan to ship nuclear weapons into Albalast was called off, and slowly we started ignoring Albalast while we started shifting our attention to the Ryou for their aggressive foreign policy. Naturally, the Ryou mysteriously disappeared from the war, and all was well. Ah, the good days when diplomacy still meant something. I was once a military commissar myself, serving in the Stoklomolvi Imperial Guard until I was shot in the stomach by a Siberian infantrymen during the, what-th time? 319th? Around there. Something like that, yes..."

He suddenly thought back to the war, where he was charging at a Siberian machine gun nest from behind when one of the Siberians turned and shot him in the stomach with a K98, and left him for dead. His comrades surged forwards and killed off the enemy, and he was honourably discharged from the military.

"War. War never changes. Not particularly glorious, but if one thinks of it from a particular way it is an art. Yes. Oh, nearly forgot about the diplomats from The Beatus."

He searched the page, and eventually found a picture of a Beatusian diplomat.

"The voice of reason, they were. Yes."

Arnold listened, interested in what Kennedy was saying, all of the important players and how the entire thing unfolded. He became more interested when the man spoke of his military service.

''It is true, war never has changed, despite the technology, the advances in weapons, the main objective is always there. Kill the enemy. It is also true that it is like an art, it has it's mystery and a romantic side. But one must remember, as long as there are humans, there will be war, we must be prepared for that.''

Ella listened intently to the conversation, but chose to remain quiet. Although her father had hoped for her to go into military service, and from a young age, taught her much about the military and it's way of life, she had chosen a different path. Luckily, her father respected and supported that. She wasn't much interested in the talk about military or war, but it gave insight into the personality and lives of her potential suitors.

''It certainly is, Mr. Kennedy,'' she answered, leaving the door open for more conversation, should Kennedy wish to go into more detail.

The convoy continued winding through the city streets of Throppe City, their destination on the other side of the city, and old fashioned country type house, complete with sports facilities, many acres of wooded area and Ella's personal favorite part, stables and open meadows for her horses.

The city was a mix of mostly old architecture, often white statues stood on pedestals or beside steps. Although the people of Throppe had once been somewhat artistic, for the most part, that had died down. Every now and then they would pass a more modern, almost new building, one of few signs that would show Orbath's influence on the tiny nation. Something that might also shock those in the limo were the presence of armored vehicles, some might recognize them as Yanitarian, complete with light bars and police markings.

My family was not allowed to retain its lands or holdings after the Revolution, so our new estates are quite the modern neuvou-riche, but I was never accustomed to the servants and such...perhaps that is why I chose to join the Defense Forces, so I could be treated the same as others."

The limo turned from the city streets, into the countryside. This area of Throppe was mostly farmland, often where cattle were raised, on rolling hills. In the distance, at a slightly higher elevation, one could make out the vast forests. They were near the Robertson manor.

''I can't describe what the military has done for me. For as long as anyone can remember, the military has been the Robertson way of life. I'd say my biggest achievement was Cripistan. I commanded hundreds of ships, even those belonging to the Anagonian Navy, a very powerful nation. I helped create two states and brought relief to many millions of people. How about yourself, what has the military done for you?''

Ella was a bit surprised, she knew a little about Stoklomolvi politics but what Kennedy said came as a shock.

''I believe politics are about the people, and the nation. I do my best to serve both. When we moved to Throppe, I could have easily never worked another day in my life, but I wanted to serve my nation, my new nation.''

No trouble at all she said, and an previously unseen servant disappeared into the bowels of the house, to fetch some coffee.

The Viscountess and Vladislav entered the house, into a rather large, grand foyer. It was like something one would expect from a movie. The floor was a brillant marble, polished and waxed to a very bright shine. In the middle of the floor sat a deep red rug. Very old paintings lined the walls, and pedestals sat, holding various small sculptures and pottery. The ceiling was high, very high, and decorated with an odd texture. A set of steep stairs led high up into the house, while doors to the left and right led into more places on the ground floor. The Viscountess led Vladislav left, into a very long hallway, on one side with doors every so often and on the other, large and skinny windows which let an immense amount of light into the hallway, eliminating the need for any kind of light fixture. They passed several doors until the Viscountess opened a door which led into a sitting air, decorated much the same way as the foyer, except with old fashion antique furniture.

''Please, have a seat.''

"Well, it started when I was 15, the King at the time, no relation to my family, even though we were royalty, that King's family had dethroned my family. As I was saying, the King, well he went a little mad, and he started making a bunch of strange laws, like you couldn't cross a street heading west till after 11 in the morning and things like that. Well, after a while of that, he, he made his own religion, and then made it the state religion, banning all others. While that made many angry, especially my family, as we were very religious. So I ended up going to these secret religious services, and I met someone. He was a preacher, but he was more than that, he was, it's hard to explain. Well anyway, he was Edwardo Listless, and after a while, he decided that things weren't right, not as the lord wanted them, and so, he, he just up and started his own rebellion. He got weapons, and found some military men who were unhappy with the king, and put together his own little army. He had these military men train us, and even though he was in charge of the whole thing, he sat right there next to us kids, and learned right along with us. How use a rifle, tactics, strategy, things like that. He caught on fast, and when he did, he was right there showing the others how to do it. He was a special man, one that I think only comes along once in a century. When he spoke, others listened, if he told us to do something we did, and each day he would eat with us, and talk with us. Each day more and more people would come, and our little army began to grow. When we had finished training, he would lead us on raids against the loyalist forces, who were deserting everyday, as the king grew crazier, and crazier. I saw him take a bullet for one of his men, he jumped right in front of it. I was with him when we took the kings palace. Loyalist resistance was at it's highest I had ever seen, people were dropping left and right, as the enemy had us pinned. Then I saw Edwardo get up, and charge the enemy, instinctively I followed, along with many others. As we charged we fired, and enemy soldiers dropped like flies. It wasn't long after that that the Loyalists started surrendering. Then Edwardo walked into the Kings through room, triumphant, and told the king that he had lost, and that he would now be put in a nice place, were they would take care of him, and help him with his problem. Edwardo was unarmed, as he did not want to threaten the king in anyway. Then out of nowhere, the king had a pistol, it was pointed at me. Edwardo acted fast, like it was instinct, he pulled sward off the wall, and with one fluid movement, chopped off the kings head before the king even knew what happened. That is what inspired me to join the Army after Edwardo Listless took power, by great majority support."

"He was the greatest man I have ever met, and I believe will ever meet. I met him again, shortly before his death, while I was serving with the official military. The nation was at war with the Royal Code, defending our colonial holdings on Springfield Island, and Edwardo Listless, then President, temporarily left his position as president, to fight for his nation again. He commanded my platoon in the jungles of Springfield Island. Our platoon had the least number of casualties, retook more land than any other platoon during the war. That was the mark of a true leader, if he was going to commit his forces to war, he was going to be right there with them, risking his own life too. He used to say, 'My life is no more valuable than anyone else's out there, and if I'm going to send our troops to go fight, I'm going to be right there with them, showing our people that I'm not just throwing they're boys and husbands out there on some meaningless war, but something that I believe in to the point that I'm willing to risk my life for.' Robertson accepted the cigar, also noting it's high quality. As he did, the convoy stopped at the end of a long straight road, lined by small bushy trees which lead to a large white mansion, complete with big white pillars, like something from the old slavery days of the united states. The limousine and two SUVs pulled away from the convoy and turned down the drive while the convoy continued down the road.

"Viscountess," Vladislav spoke eloquently, "I do believe the others have arrived. Should we go to greet them?"

''Ah, indeed, follow me.''

The Viscountess lead the man back through the halls, throwing open the oak doors, letting sunlight shine into the house. She stepped out onto the porch, watching her daughter and husband, then the suitors climb from the limousine.

''Hello and welcome to Robertson Manor, I see you have all met my husband and of course, the person you have all come to see, my lovely daughter. I assure you, by the end of all this, I will ensure that you know her and she knows you. After all, communication is very important in a relationship,'' She winked and began to pace slightly, giving the suitors a chance to walk and stretch their legs.

The Viscount joined his wife on the porch and after several minutes, the Viscountess spoke again.

''When my daughter expressed her interest in having this get together, my husband and I sat down and discussed exactly what we could do to ensure Ella found the perfect suitor. In doing so, we planned out activities in which you can hopefully begin to relate and experience a small portion of her life. The first thing we shall do today is ride. Ella owns several horses, but of course, not enough for all of us, so I rented several of the finest for today. After our ride, we shall eat, as I am sure after your travels you are tired. If you follow that path to your right, it shall lead you to the stables.''

She motioned to a stone path which lead into a small patch of trees. Through these trees one could slightly see parts of a large barn. On the other side was a large barn, paddock and a very large forested area atop many rolling hills. It was beautiful, before the Robertson's had moved and purchased the land it had been untouched. Now it featured many paths which lead through the woods and meadows.

Kennedy noticed that everyone else was wearing identical-looking uniforms, and looked behind him. As the door shut, he saw his small pile of riding gear, and quickly ran back inside. The riding gear was a tad awkward to put on, seeing as to how the last time he rode a horse was into battle and fell off of it when the horse was shot from under him. He had to ditch the riding uniform that the Stoklomolvi cavalry division gave him, which was far less protective than the one that he was given. He shrugged again, and struggled to get the gear on. After five minutes of battle against the riding gear, he finally tugged it on, looking a tad silly, though the gear fit perfectly.

''I do, it is one of my favorite pass times. I often ride through the forests back here, when I'm not hiking them.''

She was becoming more and more impressed with the man. He hadn't tried to be flashy or announce his wealthiness, they shared a common interest and he seemed truly interested in her interests. Not only that, he seemed to get along well with her father She also certainly didn't have a problem with his looks, however she decided he looked much better in a business suit than riding gear.

That wasn't to say she wasn't interested in any of the other suitors, they had their ups and downs.

Kennedy was fairly attractive, but he seemed preoccupied and perhaps shy. He was into politics, which was good, however, their political opinions differed greatly. That wasn't a bad thing, a friendly political debate never ended a relationship... did it?

With everyone changed, several men emerged from the stables leading a group of brown, black, white and even a grey horse. There were seven horses in all.

Ella approached a deep, almost chestnut brown colored horse and began patting it on it's neck.

''Everyone this is ''People's Gain'', a former race horse. She doesn't race anymore so I refer to her as ''PG'', she doesn't seem to mind.''

She placed her foot up into the stirrups and swung herself onto the horses back.

''I understand some of you have rode before. For those who haven't, take a moment, become friends with a horse. It may sound silly but you won't be able to ride one if you don't. When your ready, you may attempt getting on by yourself or have one of my fine stable workers give you a hand.''

It certainly was a bad time to have asked, but she figured that perhaps his emergency was much more dire than Kennedy's. Vladislav was a former medic and had come to help, and she knew little about medical emergencies, so she turned her attention to the man.

''I understand, we all have situations. If you must make true haste, I can have my father send for a military helicopter... you will make it to the airport much faster that way.''

She didn't have to wait to head towards the house to ask him, as he came running through the wooded path the group had taken earlier. He was accompanied by two security agents, both who had received training in first aid, one who had received advanced training. She stopped them before they reached Kennedy.

''As far as we can tell he is ok, he appears to be having a panic attack or perhaps a nervous breakdown, nothing requiring immediate medical attention. Xiahou on the other hand has been informed of an emergency back home and must get to the airport now.''

She didn't have to ask about a helicopter before he sent his bodyguard to the house, after whispering a confirmation code in his ear, thus giving the man the authority to issue the orders over the phone.

''I can have a Mi-24 here in under twenty minutes, much faster than a speeding vehicle on land. I'm sorry to see you go''

He and Ella then shook the man's hand and turned their attention again to Kennedy. Robertson had many former military friends, some who had PTSD and had even broken down in front of him. He got down onto a knee beside Kennedy and placed a hand on his back.

''Kennedy...Kennedy.... it's ok my friend... you're safe in Throppe.''

Seeing as the situation with Kennedy seemed serious, Sampson decided to get off the horse, he had finally gotten on, and see if he could help in anyway. He walked over and asked, "Is there anything I can do to help?"

"Hi there," Vladislav said to the medics, "Do you carry any SSRI's or MAOI's?"

Xiahou looked back at Ella and contiuned on down the pathway. Something top secert had broken loose and he hoped it mightn't threaten his brother.

He looked at the bodyguard and asked him if he could pass a message to her. He handed the bodyguard a piece of paper with the words: "It was wonderful meeting you and I wish this crsis back home didn't occur because you made me feel comfortable,"

''Negative sir, we do not.''

One of the bodyguard/medics took the paper they were handed, stuffing it into a pocket to give to Ella later.

Xiahou would continue walking down the path, eventually arriving in the driveway. After a few minutes of waiting, a bodyguard asked him to follow and they made their way through the massive house and up several flights of stairs until they arrived on the roof. From the roof they could see two Mi-24 helicopters rapidly approaching. As they got closer, the bodyguard moved the man into the stairwell, as one of the helicopters slowly descended, finally hovering a mere few feet above the roof. The bodyguard spoke to the man one final time.

''The building can't support a helicopter of this size, so it has to stay hovering. Keep your head low as you head to the helicopter, a ladder will be thrown down. Good luck and goodbye on behalf of Throppe.''

Sure enough, as soon as Xiahou stepped onto the roof, a rope ladder was thrown down and a man in a black ski mask appeared, motioning for him to hurry.

[OOC: I mean that he once had an incident where he was riding into battle on a horse, being a cavalryman, but the horse was literally shot out from under him by a hail of bullets.]

Eventually, Kennedy stopped sobbing and such, though he was still trembling. Interestingly enough, when he looked at the horse again he thought nothing of it. After a moment, he noticed that some people were looking at him, and he felt rather odd with all the attention directed towards him.

"What happened?"

This time Luke decided to speak.

"You started crying. I guess you remembered something traumatic that happened to you when you saw the horse."

The Viscount was the first to speak.

''I didn't see exactly but you seem to have... broken down. I'm not sure exactly why, but it almost looks like an episode of PTSD. Perhaps we should take you inside, you should really get something to drink and a small bite of food.''

The bodyguards nodded in agreement, there was a good chance the man was weakened and probably thirsty.

The Viscount followed them inside.

''What shall I get you to eat, water is on it's way.''

As he asked, a man appeared with a crystal clear glass of water and set it down on a nearby table, within Kennedy's reach.

''Has this ever occurred before?''

Meanwhile, outside, though shaken, Ella felt that she couldn't just quit. She had invited these people here for a reason and like they said in show business... ''The show must go on.''

She climbed back onto her horse and as she did, she began to think. In all the chaos, she had forgotten that one of these people was a potential husband and she was trying to figure out who. She thought back to what had happened. Samson had been determined and had finally made his way onto the horse which impressed her, but nearly as much as the actions of Vladislav who remained calm, assisted the man and showed true care. She was confident his actions were real and not an act.

''I know we have been thrown off track a little, no fault of anyone's but we must get going. Please get back onto your horses and we shall head out.''

"Erm...well, you do have medical personnel on the premises, and it looks like the worst is behind him," Vladislav began. He turned to the medics, handing one a business card, "My cell number is the one on the bottom. Let me know if there's any change in his condition." With that, he gave a last reassuring pat to Kennedy's arm and left him in the care of the medics and Viscount.

Paula Robertson rode over beside Ella and they began walking the horses through an open gate and into a fenced in field. After everyone was inside, someone closed the gate and Ella turned her horse around to speak.

''Please, take a few minutes and learn how to ride. If you have any questions, my mother and I would be happy to help. Also, Vladislav seems to know quite a bit, perhaps he wouldn't mind if you asked him.''

I take suggestions, so I will give Beatus another point.
