Terrorist Bombing Shakes Cruxium

Twenty-Six Dead, Eighty Wounded

by Roger Hawthorn, National Events Columnist

Cruxium was shaken to its core yesterday after a bomb exploded in a crowded park at 3:20pm local time.

The vile attack, for which no group has yet claimed responsibility, came five minutes after local schools ended for the day, resulting in an influx of children in the area.

Of the casualties, eleven are said to be children under thirteen, two of whom were killed in the blast. One injured person was also a plain clothesman of the SDC (Social Defense Corps/Police).

Supreme Justice Harris, of the House of Justice, stated that a report had come in, from a public payphone, at 3:15pm regarding a suspected bomb in Putney. However, despite the best efforts of the SDC, the warning was issued too late for any preventative measures to be taken.

Official documents leaked from the House of Justice reveal suspicions that far-right religious groups, angry at the result of the Fenworth Trial last year, are to blame. The resulting decision saw hundreds of thousands of religious citizens and immigrants leave Cruxium for other nations. (Link (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=506070&highlight=Cruxium))

The House of Democracy have promised aid to those families devestated in the blast.

HRH Sharptooth, Ih8uwannakillu,

Your condolences are appreciated, as is the fact you are thinking of the People at this sad time. Further, your offer of aid is also greatly appreciated. However, the matter is quite in hand, with the House of Justice already organising an investigation.

Should we have any need, we shall remember your kind offer.

Yours Sincerely,
Philip Dunford, First Speaker
First Speaker, House of Democracy, Cruxium.
