Jackson House in the Colstream Capital, Ashland had been set as the location of the "Annells Conference" where Annells and the international community would hopefully deal with the crisis concerning Annells and her problems. The conference is hoped to be the event that will solve the crisis and hopes are pinned to a successful outcome.

The Sapphire Ballroom of Jackson House had been readied for the conference. There a large table stood ready where the other delegations would sit and discuss about the issues they had. Now it was a waiting game to see when the conference would begin.

Ms. Kotenko was to attend a conference for a country that she had no idea where it was located. The tarmac at Murska AB was drenched in rain, which resulted in large puddles in some places. She walked to the An-12 that was waiting outside, in the rain.

"I hate rain.." she muttered to herself as she was boarding the plane.

After what seemed to be a long flight, the plain touched down at an airport in Colstream.

Afterwards, they unloaded a UAZ jeep from the plane, and Viktoria and two others arrived at the conference. She was wearing an officers uniform, back from when she was in the RNCP armed forces.

President Jack Walker was already at Jackson House. He was dressed in Colstream Ait Force number 1 dress, which was a navy blue jacket and trousers with a white shirt. Air Marshal rank epulettes adorned his shoulders. A smile played around his lips as he walked towards Ms. Kotenko holding out his hand in a warm gesture.

The Northern Aggressor Nation will be prevented from attending the conference because it has failed to represent itself during the initial stages of the crisis. Therefore, the conference will be safe for you and your delegation to attend.

The Allied States of Gun Manufacturers will be sending a two person delegation to this conference. Minister of Foreign Affairs Laurence and Minister of Defense Smithfield will represent us. One question we have is, why is Annells northern neighbor being excluded from this conference? They are a necessary party to these discussions, in my opinion, due to Annells actions. At the very least, they should be allowed to participate via video teleconferencing.

As Viktoria walks into the building, she sees the man approaching her. Recognizing that he was the Colstream President, she shook his hand.

"You are President Walker, yes?" she says with a heavy Russian accent.

President Walker smiled. "Yes i am. Welcome to the conference. I hope everything was okay during your flight here?"

I have no idea who is in charge of the "Northern State" so we don't know who would represent them. If we know who the leader is then we will set up a video link so the leader could show his/her views.

Minister Jeffery Laurence and Minister Jacob Smithfield took off from the ASoGM in a private jet, and landed many hours later in Colstream. Disembarking, they made their way to Jackson House via rented car. Minister Smithfield turned to Minister Laurence and said, "I hope this turns out easier than the last time we worked together in another nation, Jeff". Minister Laurence chuckled and said, "Me too, Jake". Finally, they arrived at Jackson House, and entered.

Colstream Vice President Barry Knight, who was also at the conference stepped forward to greet them. "How was your flight here?" he asked. "There are refreshments waiting for you just inside the Sapphire Ballroom if you want tea or coffee later on."

Vice President Knight shook their hands and then replied "We just need the Annells delegation to arrive and then we can get the conference underway. Please make yourselves comfortable."

Mirkalla was a Merchant Princess-one of the higher ranking members of the Ordo Argan Argari, who supervised finance, but she was also muri to her toeclaws, and she admitted a respect for Annells-to ask protection then take units thus spared to seize territory-it was a move worthy of a muri, and while the Voivode was incensed, he was also pleased in the way a proud parent watched his daughter's first coup.
She was somewhat surprised to be given this assignment-the Ordo Annilla tended to handle most First Contacts, and enough nations were involved of which she knew nothing...but the Voivode had given her order this assignment, and as a priestess of the Surface Darkness, Harmony was most desired. She looked forward to it-and perhaps obtaining adequate information to make the Ordo Annilla blush. The others would be a pleasant change of pace, she decided...

The Foreign Minister`s assistant stepped off the private jet and onto Colstream soil. He was hoping for a good agreement that benefited Annells and it`s northern neighbour. He and the minister sat diown in the car waiting for them and travelled to Jackson House.

Out of the night sky came the thrump thrump of a Class One Sikorsky S-76C+
and the giveaway rapid whack whack of the escorting fleet of four Black Hawk C66 attack copters.

Landing to the side of the main Helipad the Sikorsky S-76C+ two pilot option VIP copter slowly winds down its engines and comes to a stop.

Two of the escort copters stay aloft providing cover and two land either side of the Sikorsky S-76C+.

The doors remain closed and no radio activity can be heard.

President Walker waited for the last delegations to arrive. He had heard that they had landed on Colstream Soil and were now preparing to make their way there. They could now start the conference properly in 24 hours or less. An announcement had been given out to the delegations already at Jackson House to that effect.

The two ministers went to the Sapphire Ballroom and relaxed, knowing that there may not be too many instances to do so once the conference started.

We are happy to accept on behalf of the Colstream People the two Black Hawk Helicopters. You can make an opening statement at the conference and please bring the photos of the area so we can discuss the problem practically. We have satelite imagery of the area that had been taken when we first knew of the crisis. Also we did not reply to the communique from The Republic of COPGE as we thought it to be a bit disrespectful. Also note that the COPGE has arrived but will be separated from your delegation. This step is necessary, but their presence is required to hear both sides of the story so to speak.


President Walker replied "Well, the Annells delegation, the ASoGM delegation, The Republic of COPGE delegation which is Annells northern neighbour and Boicos delegation is here. The conference will start very shortly."

Mirkalla stood at the door of the plane-like most muri commercial vessels, they'd purchased it from somewhere, and she certainly knew little about it-fleet maintenance was the province of the Ordo Gadbladdi, and their drab leathers as they went about their dour duties made them unnoticable. She, on the other hand, was dressed in flowing black, from the sable at her collar to the leather pumps she wore-a Merchant Princess was priestess to Argan Argar first and foremost, and that god insisted upon proper appearance when interacting with others.
Bowing slightly as to allow her feathers to pass the small door,she looked out over the tarmac and made slow, stately strides to Colstream soil, waiting at the lowest step to be invited in-this was a diplomatic mission, and her etiquette must be flawless...

In the current economic situation that many nations find themselves in it is essential that such vast reserves as these are shared with the region and the world, yet COPGE seek to retain all those resources for themselves.

As can be seen from the ariel photography supplied to all delegates this land is indeed barren, and has no strategic value, yet it sits on vast oil reserves that we seek to aid the development of.

While he was doing that, Minister Laurence said, "The ASoGM feels that, regardless of your feelings concerning the resources in the disputed territory, they are COPGE's resources to do with, or not, as they please. The land is legally theirs, not yours. Regarding the terrorism that you claim comes from across their border, we do feel that an investigation should commence to find out if these attacks are the work of COPGE or another entity".

The Stoklomolvi delegate quietly slipped through the door. He made his way to his seat, though he was very late indeed.

The foriegn ministor for local affairs of the Disputed Territorys of Pinskulptia sends a runner ahead of himself to announce his arrive. Running up to the chairperson of the comitee he demands the floor on the spot. After much protest he explains that he has new information to bring to light which may change everyone's opinion on the 'northern neighbours'. He steps aside for the foriegn ministor for local affairs.

"My fellow delegates from the respectable Countrys all over the world, I come before you today with grave news. Our tiny and humble nation of Pinskulptia has been invaded by the evil oppressors to the North. Spies from the Republic of COPGE, ours and Annells's norther borders, were caught in our nation's capital attempting to steal valuable plans as to the location of our military units. The information was leeked before we succesfully captured them but through the medium of ethical persuasion methods we discovered who they were working for. Unfortunatly the spie then procded to consume a cienide capsul so we could gain no new information. But with the safe knowledge that the majority of our troops were currently undergoing a training excerise with the peaceful nation of Drake_Topia to encourage a stronger military with our neighbours, the Republic of COPGE declared war officailly on our nation. They came accross our borders with several thousand troops and sabotaged dozens of our oil refinerys. The Country is in bedlock with our people rushing to panic buy as much petrol as they can carry. A state of Martial Law has been called to contain the panic growing within. Our military forces are spread so thin that invasion would surely mean the end of us all and the death of all of our people. When question about their actions the Republic of COPGE replyed with this:

Please be aware that should you continue to attempt to support Annells you will be targetted by people in our nation, they act without government support. We cannot be responsible for you bringing these attacks onto yoursleves if you insist on supporting ANnells in the debate that is taking place hosted by Colstream.

Should you choose to show wisdom and support our glorious nation we will ensure that no terrorist action takes place against you and that you receive benefits as an ally of COPGE.

We are in a desperate situation and we humbly request that support be sent immediatly to aid our exhausted military soldiers. We have personally witnessed that COPGE has amassed several thousand troops on the border to our nation. It seems that whilst the debate over Annells's justifed actions have been continuing COPGE has acted without justification to strike at Annells's allys. Please send help before it is too late!"

The forien ministor steps down and takes a seat at the back of the conferance, awaiting a decision from the more respectable delegates seated around the room.

Jankoa Instin, the Foreign Affairs Minister and representative of Boico at the conference, stepped up. "Boico condemns the bullying and agressive actions of COPGE. If needs be, Boico will send troops in defense of Pinskulptia. Although my government wishes a peaceful agreement between Annells and COPGE, we can not stand by and allow a nation to be destroyed."

Your actions are that of a terrorist. This conference hopes for a peaceful agreement to this situation. While Boico was originally supportive of your nation, we now see that our position was wrong. Be ask you to remove the build up of troups along the border with Pinskulptia. If any of your troops enter Pinskulptia, then we will defend Pinskulptia. Now kindly allow this conference to continue without your nation trying to interfere in the discisions of the esteemed delegates.

Minister Smithfield, taking notes the whole time, looked up and said, "We don't even know if these allegations are true. If someone has a satellite in the area to confirm this, then let's get it checked out. I, for one, won't take the word of one nation I know little to nothing about, over the word of another nation I know little to nothing about. Also, since the representative from COPGE is here, they can answer the allegations". Minister Laurence said, "I agree. We should investigate all these claims against COPGE before acting. We must not, however, forget the original reason for this conference, which is investigating the alleged violation of COPGE's sovereignty by Annells".

Urgent Message from the Delegate from COPGE

COPGE would like to confirm to all the delegates at this conference that there is absolutely no basis for the comments of the scum from Pinskulptia.

This Nation does border our terrirories and has for many years been accusing us of terrorism towards its peoples.

There has been no contact between our nations for some time as our border is closed. We have been practicing military manouvers need this area as stated however that is because we did not want to be accused of moving into the area illegally occupied by Annells.

We have always embraced Pinskulptia and wish for nothing other than peaceful relations. Indeed we have stated as much many times in recent weeks.


Please ignore this deliberate distraction from the real aggressors here.

Another messanger boy quietly slips in through one of the side doors and heads over to the minister of local affairs for the Disputed Territorys of Pinskulptia. The minister then humbly requests the floor again. When it is granted he gives the following statement.

"To the delegate of COPGE. If your statement was true then why has our embassy in your Country been visiciouly attacked in the past hour? Military troops have forcibly entered and sized our ambassader and hundreds of our diplomats desperatly trying to argue for peace. They are now being held hostage under demand that we sieze all allied agreements with Annells and remove ourselves from this conferance. They have also demanded 25% of our land, including the section high in valuable oil resources. They will not only execute their hostages but they will also invade our Country. Please, I beg of you, can't somebody stop them before its too late?"

Another message is quickly handed to him. After reading it for several seconds, his face turns quite white.

"My fellow delegates the situation is worse then I have feared. The Republic of COPGE has just finished evacuating all of their civilians out of our Territorys but have refused to let ours go free. They are all currently being rounded up and taken of to criminal of war camps. Hundreds have already been sized and I fear that the number may reach thousands by this evening. I only pray that the situation can be resolved quickly for all of our peoples sake. Thank you for your time."

He retakes his seat looking quite worried about the outcome of this conferance.

Minister Laurence said, "We need a satellite to identify if these claims are true or not. The ASoGM does not have one they can spare for this purpose, but if one of the other nations here can, that would help speed things up".

Viktoria says in response to Mr. Laurance's comment "Although we have no satellites, I could order a quick fly-over of their nation?"

"Have we historical maps to establish precedence, perhaps? We should not go to war so hastily-so many of us are so eager to rip and tear into each other without provocation. Ask yourselves, my friends-is this worth it? Is anything more at stake than your desires to see your armies up against another? This is no valid basis for war-this is, by all accounts, a minor scrap of map not held in esteem by those contesting it, and yet we larger powers are willing to level our guns at each other to fight for our sides' right to hold it.
"I ask you-is this posturing because true ideals are at stake, rather than proving we have the largest guns or biggest armies?
"We are not children, gentlemen-we are nations. Our decisions here will regale us as enlightened giants, or show us to be heartless bastards, intend on proving our manhoods no matter what the cost in lives or families.
"I urge you all, take a step back-breathe in-and remember this is not some intellectual exercise, but a price that will be paid by our children. Now, let us lay down some groundwork-set in a peace until this summit is ended, and let our differences be aired freely without malice until all may be resolved."
She cast her gaze about the room, seeing what effect her words had...

Mirkalla smiled serenely. "That is most true, Minister Smithfield-which is why maps proclaiming the traditional boundaries of the region will be as valuable as satellite surveillance-and doubtless more accessible.
"While we wait for the one, might we not bring in the other, so we all have a more firm grounding on which to base these talks?"

"I agree, we do need maps showing the internationally recognized borders. The satellite request we made is to prove or disprove Pinskulptia's claims of COPGE's infringement of the borders, based on the map", Minister Smithfield said.

When Minister Smithfield finished, Minister Laurence added, "While we wait for that information concerning Pinskulptia and COPGE, we should attend to the original reason for this conference. That is to deal with Annells infringing on COPGE's sovereignty for the purposes of expansion and utilization of natural resources in an area north of their border. The ASoGM feels that Annells has no legitimate claim to that land, while COPGE does. A map showing the internationally recognized borders will back up our opinion, I have no doubt".

It is clear to us from the above that the issue of the wasteland that lies to our North, despite being ignored by COPGE, is still seen as sovereign territory of COPGE.

"Personally, I think only COPGE has the right to accept that proposal, as regardless of their utilization of the land, it is theirs. If they don't agree, then you should immediately withdraw your forces from the disputed area you call the wasteland", Minister Smithfield said. Minister Laurence followed with, "I agree. First, Annells withdraws from the area and the area becomes part of the current DMZ until a lease is negotiated, second we enforce the DMZ with a troop level of no less than 800,000 soldiers and have a no fly area within a 2 mile radius around the DMZ. Third, the COPGE releases all of Pinskulptian civilians and shut down their POW Camps. President Walker replied "The Colstream Government has these proposals. If the number of soldiers needed is short of the suggested 800,000, the ASoGM would be willing to send some troops. On the third proposal, we are still waiting for for independent verification on the validity of Pinskulptian's claims. Right now, we only have Pinskulptia's word that this is happening, while COPGE denies the claims made against them. The final proposal is not agreeable to the ASoGM. The land should remain as part of COPGE. The lease would only allow Annells use of the land for a fee to be negotiated later".

The foriegn minister for local affairs in Pinskulptia replys that "We would be quite happy to resolve everything peacefully as long as our people are returned safely and without harm. Also, for the record, all of COPGNE's people have fled our country safely, however we would welcome them back peacefully when this situation has been resolved. President Walker replied "Ok, we will drop the fourth proposal and we will have to agree on a lease for Annells. What number of soldiers would the ASoGM send to the DMZ? Also how would the Annells government feel if we agreed to the 2 year lease and they share the minerals in the area with the nations in the region. Mirkalla smiled like a predatory animal. "I believe, with so many engaged, the troops should be an equal number from each nation-likewise the labor force. To ease the strain on Annells, I further suggest that this lease be paid from the profits of exploiting the mineral resources first, then payment of troops, and other costs. The Ordo Drakul has authorized me to requisition such troops as needed, as well as laborers, and with all sides equal, peace should be ensured."

Once we make a pass, we're going to reverse positions, so that Blackbird 2 is south of us. That way, if one of our planes goes down, we still have a full pass in the other plane. We have orders not to deviate into COPGE airspace, so we'll be in Pinskulptia the entire time we're taking pictures. We're also going to be going near max thrust, so it shouldn't take too long".

IC: After the Blackbirds switched positions and began their second pass, Joker said to his second seat Jester, "Another milk run, Jester. And you thought we were going into a hot zone". Just then, the threat warning indicator started flashing. "They're trying to get a lock on us", Joker shouted. Jester got on the radio and said, "We have a radar warning, coming from COPGE. Stay alert, Blackbird 2". Suddenly, the threat warning indicator stopped flashing and stayed lit. A warning tone sounded in Blackbird 1, and Jester said over the radio, "We have been locked". Then the missile warning indicator lit up, and a different, oscillating tone sounded. Jester said to Joker, "Hold on buddy, it's about to get rough". Accelerating to from mach 2.5 to full power, the Blackbird quickly hit mach 3.2, pushing the crew further into the seats. Glancing at the radar, the missile showed to be heading from the 6 o'clock position, and closing slowly. When the missile was getting close, Jester released flares and chaff, and hoped that it would distract the missile. It didn't, but the missile ran out of fuel before it could get close enough to impact the Blackbird.

Shortly after the missile incident, the Blackbirds were at the beach. "Blackbirds 1 and 2, Feet wet", called Jester over the secure radio. 20 seconds after that, they were over international waters, heading back to the ASoGM to get their recon processed and shipped out to the conference.

In a panicked and desperate mannor the ministor from Pinskulptia asks for the floor yet again!

"It seems like war is the only answer. We have recieved yet another threat from COPGE.

We have been mobalissing our troops for several days now. We have 10 million troops sourrounding and protecting our most nothern borders and our closest citys to COPGE have been evacuated. We are prepared for war but wish to still attempt to harbor peace. We do not want this to go any futhur! But we will defend ourselves if attacked. To all allys of Pinskulptia or Annells, can you please send assistance or find a way to control COPGE so that what currently seems inevitable war does not break out! Thanks for your time."

He returns to his seat and keeps a close eye on what effect his words have had on the ministor from COPGE.

The Voivode of the Ordo Drakul was a large and amazingly young man, dressed in the feathered headress and cloak that constituted traditional native clothing. His body bore the marks of hours in the gym, and scars from multiple successful hunts.
He sat behind a desk, the crest of the Ordo Drakul behind him-a wyvern on one foot, it's tail wrapped under it to rest in it's mouth. He stared solemnly into the camera.
"My people, and people of the world-today, the COPGE announced it had shot down aircraft invading it's airspace. This is nonsense, as it's airspace has not yet been crossed, but the attitude of these miscreants shows a blatant disregard for international peace efforts.
"This cannot go unaddressed, and I have ordered a surgical strike to end their ability at aggression-factories, military bases, and airfields have all been authorized as targets, and located by satellite surveillance of their nation.
"We bear no ill will to the citizens of the COPGE, and in fact mourn that they must labor under such a terrorist regime that impedes peace where it can. To them, I apologize.
"Our stealth bombers will have dropped out of the sky five minutes ago to deliver their loads. Our nation is on high alert as we await reprisals, but the stubbornness of the COPGE leadership has required this object lesson, and we have sadly taken this mantle upon ourselves.
"To assure the international community we have no expansionist ambitions, we will supply any of the COPGE's allies as request medical equipment and food, but shall place no soldiers within their nation. This is a warning, not a conquest.
"If the COPGE insists upon impeding peace for it's own mad ambitions, we will continue with our efforts to cease their impediments, but the Ordo Drakul is dedicated to peace, and will brook no interference in an enlightened reasoning between nations..."

Minister Smithfield said, "Would the delegate from COPGE answer a question? Why did COPGE forces shoot at one of our recon aircraft while it was flying in Pinskulptia? The missile missed fortunately, but the fact that we were attacked while not in your airspace concerns us greatly". Minister Laurence asked, "Maybe our recon aircraft saw something that COPGE didn't want us to see?".

Mirkalla watched intently. The Voivode's strike was perhaps preemptive, and the response from the COPGE made war inevitable. A coalition would be preferable, even against a gadfly like the COPGE, and she wondered exactly how the representative would justify his madness...

It is with great regret that the nation of COPGE has to report that as a result of an attack on our nation a school and a hospital have been destroyed by known aggressors.

The data from the 2 SR-71 Blackbirds was processed as quickly as possible, copies of the photos were made for each representative, then the photos were forwarded to the conference in Ashland. The package of recon photos was handed to Minister Smithfield, who opened the package. He handed all the copies of the photos except 2 to Minister Laurence, who started distributing them to the other delegates. The 2 copies Minister Smithfield held were his and Minister Laurence's copies. Once everyone had a copy of the photos and had a chance to look at them, Minister Smithfield said, "From what I can see, there are currently no COPGE forces in Pinskulptia. However, there is something that has caught my eye at the COPGE border. Can the COPGE delegate please elaborate as to what this plant crop is that is growing right up to your border?".

Today Copge is proud to annouce the successful actions of two of our glorious nationals who have attacked targets in Ordo Drakul.
Those targets were carefully chosen and are of military or governing significance.

Our two Jihadists carried out their missions and were martyred in the action when detonating the devices they carried.

We have no information on casualties but we do believe them to be significant.

Today Copge is proud to annouce the successful actions of two of our glorious nationals who have attacked targets in Ordo Drakul.
Those targets were carefully chosen and are of military or governing significance.

Our two Jihadists carried out their missions and were martyred in the action when detonating the devices they carried.

We have no information on casualties but we do believe them to be significant.

Response to the request for information about crop data near the border of Pinskulptia.

These crops are simply food stocks. We have managed to grow this specialist "food" crops due to the unique farmland in this region. We will not be able to provide further data on these crops.

We anticipate additional support from the delegates at this conference to help us with the aggression shown by many enemies of our glorious Nation.
We anticipate that the delegates will support our nation in the problem with Annells and look forward to the end of the conference.

IC: Minister Laurence and Minister Smithfield became irritated by the lack of response from the other delegates, and hoped someone would say something soon. Minister Laurence wasn't real big into plants, but these plants on the COPGE/Pinskulptia border didn't look like food crops. They looked like the evidence pictures that ASoGM police and federal agents take of drug crops, before they raid the growers and destroy the crops.
