In one of hundreds of systems. A lone black frigate coasted along through a massive asteroid field. Its sleek black hill looked something like a submarine with four large turrets on its midsection, one on each of its sides.

It coasted along until it exited the field, its sensors charting the massive field as it passed through. It had no shield systems, its stealth screens keeping it hidden as it passively scanned the sector for any possible ships.

After detecting nothing. The captain of the frigate, a human male named fredrick, pressed a small red button on his chairs console.

"This is Sigma to Sanctuary. Field is clear. Proceed with jump."

A minute later, space opened up infront of the field as a truely titanic vessel sliped out of foldspace. It was 32km long, 10km tall, and 8km wide. Dozens of bays dotted its sides and one massive bay dominated its underbelly. No sooner did it exit the fold than thousands of small vessels began to swarm out of its bays and into the asteroid field. The worker ships were crewed by trainee pilots and seasoned miners. They began to latch themselves to asteroids via tow cables and draw them back towords the factory ship.

A moment later, another massive vessel, this one only 4km long exited foldspace above the factory ship. On its bridge, stood an anthro wolf wearing black and red body armor. He looked around before speaking. "Com, open a channel to the Pegasis." There was a pause as it was done. "This is Second Admiral Niori of the Calypso to Pegasis command. Sanctuary has arrived and we have begun mining operations."

The transmission was sent via Ansible, allowing instant communication between any distance of space as well as being almost completely undetectable due to quantum entanglement.

The rest of the escort fleet warped in around the sanctuary, creating a protective bubble on the side away from the asteroid field. half a dozen battleships as well as two dozen strike carriers. The small fleet deployed expertly as massive bulk freighters began to fold in between the warships and the factory ship. Other smaller freighters and transports began to warp in as well, taking up positions around the larger freighters.

Miner system 04.. the profitable frontier many systems laid within Kewen reach and many were under her banner, but most lay uncolonised for the time being in the space that Kewen had claim only 8 out of the 18 habitable systems were colonised fully and 6 out of the 8 were highly packed with asteriods the kewns choice of living.

in each mining system four Miner stations which were hollowed into large asteriod supervised the mostly unmanned mining of the system with 60 minifacotires under each facilities command and smaller tugs used to collect the resources it was a very effecient method.

For every asteriod hollowed out the mini factories would make a clone of themseves they would go to the next one and repeat the process while he "parent" stayed behind if the asteriod was sutible the minifacotry would convert it into a small spaceborn house in which the Main facility would fuse togehtoer with others creating the kewen space habitats nothing like the smell of home they say...

Suddenly alarms rang across the command deck of the mining facilty " Carbonised hydro atom digger" "manager MANAGER sensors have just detected MAMMOTH ships and and a hugmongus fleet and i mean big over athousand vessels ships over 10k in size.."

"dear... hive... mind.." stuttered the manager 3M
Regaining his composuresomewhat all patrols disengage from standby and move towards the fleet now.." as he ordered 11 Advance kewen stealth fighters detached from the rocks disengaging their Sensor claocks the moved towards the towing vessels but too late... they moved some rocks.. the fighters darted out into the open and sped towards the mining craft

"Attention Alien fleet and theiving minning craft detach from the asteriods immediatly, you might of set off their booby tra...." was all that was sent before one of them minfactories being towaed enaged anti-pirate protocals activating their nuclear reactors 2 astieros simultainously exploded...

"This is Kewen space." was all that was sent after the fighters dived back into the belt and reengaged their steath systems bfading away from sensors till it seemed as if they were just someones imagination.

The mining craft almost instantly detached from their asteroids as the two went up like minature suns. On the deck of the Calypso, Admiral Niori growled.

"Con, two mining vessels have been destroyed. Picking up multiple fighter contacts from the belt... they've vanished sir." called up one of the tactical officers.

A com officer called out. "Incoming transmission detected, running it through translators now."

The admiral nodded. "Calypso to all defense vessels, sound general quarters."

Throughout the mining fleet alarms sounded as workers sped back for the safety of the Sanctuary's bays. The warships powered weapons as the strike carriers deployed drone fighters and multigun corvettes. The fleet as a whole seemed to be turning in on itself as the non-combat ships scrambled to get on the other side of the shifting defense fleet. The Calypso powered up its main drives as it shifted itself slightly, turning its bow towards the asteroid belt.

The battleships deployed fighter wings aswell as a wing of multigun corvettes. The Calypso simply sat, its weapon batteries powered up as the Sanctuary fired up its massive engines, The gravity induction couls of the massive ship cycling up along with the rest of the fleet as the Sanctuary literally moved sideways away from the belt.

A message was transmitted back at the belt. "This is Second Admiral Niori of the Superdreadnought Calypso. Representing the Red Talons Mercenary Republic. Stand down all hostile forces at once." The transmission was both video and audio, showing the sleek white furred anthro wolf in full attire, clad in black and red scaled body armor. A katana at his left hip.

The stealth fighter's darted out of the asteriod belt this time closer to the massive ship tho still far away from it they decloaked and sent another message this time in gal-standard after reciving the alien message.

this time the pilot sent a audio visual one too hoping that these aliens who ever they were would know not to anger a great big hulking 1.6m spider with darkish blue skin and 8 large to small eyes with a slight red tint

"no hostile actions were taken" a lone fighter said before cloaking again
faraway on the other side of the fleet another one decloaked
"you triggered a booby trap" said this fighter before cloaking again
in front of the large ship tho still very far away another one decloaked
"we tried to warn you, but you didnt listen" said the fighter before cloaking

this time 6 fighters decloaked between the feild and the fleet and said in comms unison audio visual and in galstandard
"this is kewen space, please do not take any more asteriods we say this not four us but for your safty"

before decloaking again. these messages were time and wideband to all ships they could see so it would seem like 1 fighter was sending the message but fron many different places one after another in perfect timing..

back at the facility a call for hepl was put out the nearest kewen patrol was close but would be here for a little bit longer

The tactical officer called up. "Picking up multiple contacts... i think.... No jump signitures, and its fighter class."

The large holo display that dominated the three story bridge shoed a blip jump around the fleet before the 6 blips appeared.

The com officer looked up. "Incoming transmission, on screen."

The message played through. ending as the fighters vanished from the screens.

Niori pressed the Ansible link on his station. "This is Calypso to Pegasis command. Possible hostie forces detected, proceeding with first contact procedures."

There was a swift affirmative reply before the admiral called down to the com officer. "Open a wideband channel." He paused a moment. "We did not know this sector was under any control. We are seeking resources and this sector appeared to be uninhabited. We do not wish to fight."

The transmission was audio and visual. Meanwhile, the Sanctuary had slipped past the formation of warships as they closed the defensive wall around it. the last few freighters and lagging mining ships passing by.

while most of the fighters retreated to the asteriod a single cloaked one hitched a ride with the biggest ship it could find when it had carried the lone fighter into the defensive formation it detacted ran to the front of what looked like the largest warship stood a good 100m away fron the bow and decloaked.

it sent the following message in galstandard "neither do we, we apologise for the lose of your ships we did try to warn you, this system isnt inhabited YET it is being mined for the time being we have many systems like this, when we are done the discarded hollowed out asteriod shells we be used to create out space habitats, I am Kewen Wing Leader 99G of the HOly Kewen Empire, i.. no We are pleased to meet you though me and my superiors wish it was on more ...nicer terms." the lone fighter stood in space only moving to stay directly in front at 100meters from the bow of the large craft.

---

at this time the help saw fit to arrive two hammer class battleships along with four strike crusiers made the transition to normals space in system a good distance away from the alien fleet the engaged sheilds and stood their weapons not ready..yet.

The tactical officer of the Calypso called out to the admiral. "Unknown contacts bearing two two seven mark three seven mark one one three. Count six. Looks to be two capitals and four escorts. Reading energy buildup from the vacinity. Possible weapons syste- New target, fighter type bearing 0 mark 0 mark 0, its dead ahead!"

The admiral narrowed his eyes. "Prime shields and shift fleet formation." He looked to the screen, the channel still active. "We will not fire first but if we are met with hostilities we will retaliate accordingly."

As he spoke a visible blueish field manifested around the Calypso's 4km long bulk.

The fleet shifted itself to face both the asteroid belt and the new ships. Their weapons remained unpowered, and missile bays stayed closed. Though in reality tubes were loaded and guns loaded with tungsten shells, all it would take is a quick diversion of power to prime and fire them.
