BGR Automatic Assault Rifle (http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg193/DashieCamel/M14.gif)
NEW variant in service: BGRA1 (http://www.deathfromafar.com/images/products/stock_ebr.jpg)
Intro
The BGR is a recently upgraded assault rifle (from the older BG-5) that was redesigned in 2007. It was recently accepted by the Armed Forces of Dashie Commission for deployment, leading to a total phasing out and halted production of the BG-5. The aim of this program is to design a more practical weapon (than the BG-5, which used the monstrous 8.32 X 63mm bullet, leading to it being more for marksmen than the infantryman). Therefore, the BGR will now use the 7.62 X 51 mm bullet. This downgrading not only allows the BGR to now have a useable automatic fire mode, but allows the old 20 bullet magazine to be dropped in favor of a 30 bullet magazine. Furthermore, the old BG-5 was not compatible with a C-drum. The 7.62 X 51mm bullet is also in larger supply.
The old style rifle stock was maintained as well as the iron sights. However, a new reflex sight system is expected to be implemented to better allow infantrymen to estimate elevation and windage. The old BG-5 sights were notorious for never being used, though they were the standard 'barleycorn' sights fitted on common rifles like the M-16 and M4. As opposed to the M-16's back sight, however, the BGR uses a "pyramid" backsight, allowing its operator to have more of a field of view. This pyramid backsight is detachable for those who do not like it in favor of a standard M4 backsights, though it is not recommended. Though many state that the front sites appear more like those of the AK series, this is not true. They are more designed for sniping and distanced shooting than CQB and medium range action. The curled metal pieces to the sides of the frontal iron sights were added as a preference over the conventional M-16 design, however.
The 7.62 X 51mm round is capable of penetrating body armor and light metal. This is why it is favorable to many infantryman vs. fellow advanced armies who have kevlar vests deployed. Furthermore, it takes a soldier down in an average of 1.5 bullets. It is accurate up to 500 meters, but is sighted up to 1000 meters. Another positive aspect of the pyramid sights is that they come standard with a range-finder, and auto-ranger. After much debate about cost and logistics, it was agreed that all units should be allowed to have a range finder on their pyramid sights, not just special forces. Range Finders were implemented in the first quarter of 2008, and new recruits now train to use them.
The rifle is made out of standard composites. Engineers created a hardened steel frame that allows the rifle to breath, as well as recieve heavy blows for objects or rounds. The outer brown case is made especially to be painted over. This is a common practice in the Dashie Army, where most soldiers perfer a painting similar to the geographic area where they are stationed. Many others, however, prefer the factory paint. The idea was to give the composites a "wooden" type look to them, to mimick the traditional rifles of the old century. There are no wooden parts on the rifle, however. Even the stock is made of composites. Without the factory paint, the gun is a simple metallic color, similar to the AK-47.
The rifle's action is open bolt, an in effort to cut down the heat of firing such a high caliber round. This is a common selection amongst many machine guns, but the common rifles of the 20th and 21st century were closed bolt. The BGR's parts are all in the back of the rifle. Unlike other rifles, this gun does not need to be 'charged' (pulling the bolt back to set the round in the chamber) to fire. A round enters the chamber only when the trigger is pulled. The infantryman then only needs to turn off the safety (which prevents the trigger from even moving, and is located just below the bolt on the right side of the weapon), aim down the sights, and fire.
It is often debated which stance is best for the infantryman with this rifle. Standing is definately not suggested, but proned or crouching are good methods of fire. Most soldiers will be prone. However, soldiers may also attach a bipod at the end of the weapon for supported fire. This is expecially helpful in sniping missions.
Attachments
Unlike the BG-5, the lower-calibered BGR allows a silencer. This was one major downside of the BG-5. It was possibly one of the loudest assault rifles in the world. It also had the problem of a large muzzle blast, because of the absence of a flash guard. Now, the two can be attached to the muzzle. The muzzle does, however, still have the conventional sniper rifle style. With a silencer, the BGR can be used for special forces operations as a sniping tool, aiding alongside other special forces soldiers who would use small arms. At the top of the BGR, there are multiple spots to add a flashlight, laser sights (which come standard on the pyramid sights), different ACOG sights, different scopes, different iron sight types, 'red dot' sights, or reflex sights. This was implemented in consideration of the various tactical environments of the world of warfare. In addition, unlike the BG-5, the back of the stock can be detached to store items. There is one large compartment (however, the whole stock is not hollow) to store ammunition, small medical supplies, or any other small objects. Since the stock is not wooden, the hollow parts will not crack from force. At the bottom of the rifle, the second pipe (for gas escape) was shortened down to the edge of the front of the rifle to allow attachments. There attachments may include grenade launchers, teargas launchers, shotguns, or anything else.

ARZ-20 (http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg193/DashieCamel/ARZ-20.jpg)
Intro
The ARZ-20 is a formidable assault rifle in its field. Using standard 5.56 NATO ammunition, it is for medium to long range engagements. The ARZ weapons program began in 1990 with the ARZ-10, a similar weapon that was less efficient and more prone to jamming and breaking. Infantrymen had lost their trust in the weapon, and instead moved to sub machineguns. To gain this trust back, manufacturers of the ARZ-20 created an improved edition; the ARZ-20.
The ARZ-20 is similar to Chinese 'type' rifles in design. It uses an aperature for the back sight, and a 'barleycorn' frontal sight. It is also noteable that the ARZ-20 has multiple slots for attachments, such as a slot for a grenade launcher on the bottom, laser sights, various ACOG and scopes, and flashlights. The ARZ-20 is the prefered weapon among Dashie special forces, which replaced the B-7, a much smaller version of the BG-5 that fired a 9mm round.
The ARZ-20 is light and efficient. It is a favorite among HRT and SF forces because a silencer can be attached for quiet missions. In addition, Dashie factories do not need to produce a custom bullet to fit in the rifle. The mechanism of the rifle is gas operated with a closed bolt. The parts in the assault rifle are somewhat sensitive, so it is not recommended to bang this rifle around too much. However, strength was improved from the ARZ-20, and the rifle now boasts to be much sturdier than the M4A1 or M16.
There is a slot on the front of the rifle to have a hand grip like on the M4. This is not regulation on the ARZ-20, however. The reason why most actually don't prefer a frontal grip is because recoil on the ARZ-20 is surprisingly low. It is comparable, if not less than the M4. Though not able to penetrate many walls or vests, the ARZ-20's 5.56 X 45 mm bullet has a high muzzle velocity; and has pin-point accuracy.

XBA 60 cal (http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg193/DashieCamel/XBA50.jpg)
Intro
The XBA .60 cal is a monstrous machine gun capable of penetrating hard armor and vehicular targets. It can also be used for anti-personnel purposes, which would literally tear a human to pieces. This machine gun was accepted to service in 2005 after a period of usage for the M2 browning machine gun. There is no practical reason for the switch, other than the fact that Dashie manufacturers wanted to become independent of importing Browning machine guns, and wanted to develop their own product. Therefore, the XBA came into play.
It is best when mounted on vehicles. The XBA .60 caliber machine gun can engage targets for over 8 kilometers. This also allows it to serve for anti-aircraft purposes when other anti-air systems have been exhausted or destroyed. The main niche of the .60 caliber round is to take on convoys. The effect of multiple XBA's firing on a convoy in an ambush could be devastating. Humvee doors or 50 ton doors are like butter for .60 caliber bullets, and exposed troops would be ripped to pieces.
The XBA .60 caliber machine gun also has a great defensive value. It is best used to defend bases from enemy or vehicular attack. The rounds make for great covering fire. In addition, the XBA .60 caliber can shred a helicopter out of the sky. That is why it is prefered by many 2nd world nations who can afford it. Another great aspect of the XBA .60 cal is it's sights. It does not use the 'pyramid' sights like most Dashie machine guns or rifles, but uses a 8x adjustable scope. There are no iron sights on the XBA. Instead, soldiers can adjust the scope so that there is no magnifcation.
The mechanism of the machine gun is gas operated, open bolt. It was also decided to use the open bolt system for the XBA because of heat issues with such high caliber rounds. This allows soldiers to fire great loads of bullets from their 500 bullet box without having to stop from heat issues. In addition, the XBA has a revolutionary cooling system that cools the muzzle of the gun after a great deal of rounds are discharged.

Intro
The Confederation of Dashie was looking for a sniper rifle capable of firing .50 caliber rounds. They had not previously produced one, and wanted to compete on the modern battlefield. However, instead of creating an expensive government program to manufacture bullets, and design a sniper rifle, representatives from Dashie contacted Exterminatus Arms for purchase.
L-7 (http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg193/DashieCamel/L-2007.jpg)
Intro
The L-7 is a submachine gun capable of hitting medium range to close range targets. It is for pilots and other soldiers whose duties do not normally require an assault rifle. This compact weapons does not have a stock, but instead has a strap on its end for carrying. The purpose of this was to have the L-7 be as non-invasive as possible, and allow pilots to carry it while on the run. Another positive aspect of the L-7 is that it is not in the least bit heavy. It too uses an open bolt system, has low-maintenance parts, and uses a .22 stinger hollow point round. The reasoning behind this is that a L-7 is generally for non-combatants, as opposed to soldiers who will always be in danger of being under fire. A normal place where one would find an L-7 being carried is a driver, a pilot, or for those in the AoD who are trained for special tasks; such as engineers.
The L-7's small rounds are made up for by its high rate of fire. Clocking in at 950 bullets / min, the L-7 is an excellent weapon for CQB. The L-7 was mass produced in 2005-2008, and Dashie is now swarmed with them, especially in civilian hands. They are also a common gun for the black market.

Type 08B assault rifle (http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg193/DashieCamel/Type08B.jpg)
Intro
The Type 08b is an XM8 variant that uses the 5.56 X 45mm round. It is a light infantry weapon used for regular army. The Type 08B was first introduced in 2008, and has yet to be officially commissioned to the Dashie battlefield. However, full recognition is expected to come at the end of the year. However, the Type 08B has already been put to service. New recruits train with it in some sections of Dashie infantry, and even some special forces. The attached grenade launcher, the X-27, uses smart grenade technology to explode a grenade over a target, as opposed to on direct impact.
This is done by a fire control system. The soldier sets a certain distance on the grenade launcher, and fires. Their is especially helpful to strike targets who are hiding around corners, or targets who are fortified behind hills. The X-27 uses a 40 mm smart grenade, as opposed to 40 mm grenades from older assault rifles that only explode directly on impact.
The usage of the smart grenade is under heavy criticism. Many doubt its effectiveness. The Type 08B can also except grenades that explode on impact (hence the creation of a 40mm smart grenade, as opposed to a 25mm). This is in more common usage than the smart grenade. The idea behind this is that it is simply not worth it many times to use the smart grenade. Smart grenades have also not been officially accepted for use in the Army of Dashie. They are not expected to be officially accepted, but still get use from time to time.
The rifle is made out of the same sturdy, light weight composites as the BGR. Many doubt the strength of the Type 08b due to its metallic appearance. However, this could not be further from the truth. Unlike the BGR, the Type 08B uses a closed bolt system. Like the BGR, it uses low maintenance parts, and will still work if not cleaned for long periods. The Type 08B is also very waterproof, with its parts packed tightly.
The stock of the rifle is detachable if the soldier wishes. The stock is also hardened for melee attack, but like the BGR, has a small compartment to store small objects. The magazine of the rifle fits in more nicely than other rifles, and is easy to release. Soldiers only need to press the magazine catch on the right side of the rifle for the magazine to fall out. Finally, there is a comfortable gel grip at the front of the rifle to prevent blistering.
The 'smart scope' on the top of the assault rifle performs several advanced functions. One of these is autoranging. A soldier points his gun down range, and the elevation shows on the scope. Then, the operator presses a button, and the scope auto elevates for the target. Another function of the scope is full night vision integration. In addition, the Type 08B smart scope uses sun blocking technology, high strengh glass, and a clear aiming system.

REZ 'Plow' (MineSweeper) (http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg193/DashieCamel/minesweeper.jpg)
The REZ is an anti-mine vehicle that, when driven across a field, detonated mines harmlessly in the rotating mesh in front of the vehicle. The REZ is still entirely experimental, but is in operation for the Dashie and Max Beagle armies. To protect its operator, the REZ has bullet proof glass surrounding on all sides, and the frame of the vehicle is made from hardened composite armor. As a result, the vehicle is more lightweight and can move at a faster operational speed than ever before.
The REZ was first created in 2005 by a Blacktopian scientist, and the design was imported to Dashie in 2006. Only a few are in operation at the moment.
Unit Production Cost: About $1,000,000 (1 Million) per unit.

POSSUM (http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg193/DashieCamel/Ant-Air.jpg)
Type: Anti-Air Cannon
POSSUM is an anti-aircraft autocannon in use by the Dashie military. This weapon was invented in 1986, but has undergone heavy changes and improvements since its origination. The POSSUM utilizes a 40 millimeter cannon projectile, which, upon striking a target, penetrates and disables aircraft.
The POSSUM, a sturdy and deadly foe to helicopters and low flying aircraft, can fire projectiles as high as 12,500 meters into the air. As many modern forces use missile systems for anti-aircraft purposes, the POSSUM was meant to be a low to moderate budget product that could be produced quick enough to spread out across the Dashie continent, but be of enough quality so that it could be effective against enemy aircraft.
The POSSUM has now been vastly improved so that its operator and other soldiers can better communicate on the heat of the battlefield. The heavy steel frame was also replaced with composite armor to better deflect enemy rounds.

Hmm, nice. I really should update mine with this kind of information.
Earth Worm (http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg193/DashieCamel/MobileAnti-Air.jpg)
The Earth Worm is a heavy convoy truck that carries supplies and armaments. The truck is armored against mine attacks. Shown above is an Earth Worm with attached Anti-Aircraft guns. This is one of the suggested uses of the vehicle.
The vehicle sits two occupants (not counting those who can climb on back, however). A mounted BA-240 is accessible through an open hatch / moon roof at the top of the truck, where the passenger can climb up and return fire at shooting enemies.
The Earth Worm is slow (as its name would imply, as you would imagine) but powerful. It can carry heavy loads, or even soldiers. Ports docked on the sides allow a canopy to be placed over the cargo space (not shown) to conceal the area. This is highly recommended. The Earth Worm has Twelve wheels, and can move at an absolute max speed of around 60 miles per hour when unloaded.
BLR-7 Anti-Tank Armament (http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg193/DashieCamel/BRL-7.jpg)
Being a self admitted rip-off of the AT-4, the BLR is a true guerrilla's weapon. It is light, portable, and can be fired, due to new technology, in closed rooms without frying everybody around the shooter in the process. The BLR-7 has not replaced the H-130, as the H-130 is prefered by Dashie militia for its cost, shaped charge, and easy use. The BLR-7, however, is equally easy to use.
One complaint about the BLR-7 is its inability to destroy modern battle tanks in one shot. Such is the reality of the weapon; a reality shared by the AT-4. Like the AT-4, the BLR-7 is too a recoiless weapon that can be discarded after firing (if the soldier has a BLR-7D, the discardable model).
The BLR-7 is indeed a favorite amongst the Dashie troops. It has a slightly lower backblast than the AT-4 (but can still be deadly), and has a round of a slightly faster speed (but not noticeably faster, though many swear by it). The BLR-7 uses a slightly smaller round than the AT-4.
The 7 in the BLR-7 has no resemblance to the RPG-7. The 7 simply means that it took 7 manufactured models before the BLR system was accepted.
Features
The BLR-7's ACOG sights are preferable to an AT-4's iron sights. This allows for ranging, and a 4x zoom for soldiers to better aim at and strike their targets. The BLR-7 also has a gel notch in the back to fit a soldier's shoulder, to ensure that the armament does not strain a soldier's arm or back. The scope can be removed in favor of iron sights if desired.
Use
Using the BLR-7 is easy. Even a civilian could easily use the ordinance. Simply take the safety notch down, have a fellow soldier load a round through the back (or do it yourself), point at the target, and fire. The weapon is very effective against modern APC's, helicopters, bunkers, fortifications, and convoys.
