(OOC: This is just to set the mood for a future rp, however I may open it up sometime later, depending on how I decide to go with it. Also, this is the beggining of a new Nascent as I'm changing pretty much everything about it, so if you go to my factbook, dont get used to it being how it is now, because it will all change.)

Brother Ari looked out across the field, seeing nothing but the tall stalks of wheat flowing in the breeze. This was what he had been trained for since his inception into the Angels of Repentance at the age of six, yet he was nervous. This was to be his first battle as an actual Angel of Repentance, and after five long years of being in the Twelfth Company, the scouts, he felt he was more than ready to prove himself worthy of his chapter. Still he could not shake the feeling that something was wrong, very wrong. It wasn’t as though he had never seen battle before. He had been in countless engagements and had seen several of his closest friends killed. He looked down at his armor and smiled coyly. Made of several layers of ceramics and Kevlar with a thin outer layer of titanium and painted a dark green, the full suit weighed almost a full one hundred pounds, yet from the rigorous training regimen Ari could sprint, jump, climb, and do almost everything as though he were wearing nothing at all. He ran his fingers along the Holy Seal on the cream colored cloak he wore over his armor and said a short prayer he had been taught when he was a boy in the initial training.
Lord give me the strength to vanquish thine enemies.
Allow for me to spread your word with the tools thou have given me.
Make my aim true, my bullets deadly, and my blade swift and sharp.
I go to do your bidding O’ Lord, so that those who do not know your word shall learn it,
Or they will face thine wrath through my hands.
You are great and merciful, and in your name I pray.
Amen.
Suddenly from behind him he heard his captain yell. It was finally time to rinse this area of the file stench of the rebel Muslims. He brought his rifle up to his chest, the frantic beating of his heart giving away any façade of him being calm. Then the call to charge into the field came, and he was off. Sprinting with the fifty other men of the Fifth Company through the wheat field and towards the tree line on the other side when all of the sudden automatic fire erupted from the trees. Ari could hear the bullets ricochet off his and the others armor, and settled his G-36 rifle next to his hip and began firing toward the nearest muzzle flash. Finally he had reached the trees and could see his enemy. Dug into several trenches stood several hundred men, each one with a look of hatred directed at their attackers.
When Ari finally reached the first line of trenches the rebels were just beginning to fall back. Without hesitation Ari leapt into the trench and pulled his sword from its sheath. Holding his rifle in one hand, and his sword in the other, Ari walked towards a group of rebels who were still firing at the second wave. Ari quickly slung his rifle to his back and raised his sword to strike the first of the rebels when they finally realized he was in the trench with them. The man closest to Ari screamed as he buried the long sharp blade into his chest with a powerful sideways strike. Without stopping he spun, removing the blade from the first man, and cut into the stomach of the next, slicing him in half. The last few rebels were trying to climb out of the trench to get away from Ari, but just as Ari readied himself for another attack, a hail of bullets impacted into each man’s back. Ari looked to the direction the bullets came from and saw two of his fellow Angels of Repentance running towards him.
“I had the situation under control,” Ari said into his commlink, slightly annoyed at the intrusion.
“Yeah well we couldn’t let you have all the fun, now could we Brother Ari?” Replied one of the men.
Ari rolled his eyes and re-sheathed his sword. The battle was all but finished now, the only sounds coming from further back into the woods as the rebels attempted to run from their fate, but the sharp retort from several rifles told Ari that they did not make it. Ari hopped out of the trench and slowly walked towards where his squad had converged as several men began the task of cleanup, finally realizing what the strange feeling he was having was.
“They were all civilians,” he thought to himself, “every one of them, innocent civilians.”

Another town under fire as the residents of the village of Resili was attacked by Muslim Extremists yesterday. Authorities say that the Muslims came into town in the early morning and set fire to the entire village. While just outside the village a mass grave was discovered containing at early estimates about three hundred and fifty men, women and children. Authorities maintain that they are doing everything they can to stop this string of violence, but with few leads and no witnesses, they say it could happen again at any time.
